I agree with "ChrisZer0", as you can not have a young child riding a coaster, the min age should be 12 atleast, and a certain height, 1.4meters. Most parents will not allow their kids to ride a large coaster when they are young. Common Sense!! My friend's daughter is 9 and she is less than 1.4m high, but she will be riding the "Pepsi Max Big One" next month. she has never been on a coaster that tall and fast, how is she going to react when 1/2 way up the lift hill. She may Panic..

Thorpe Park Discussion Thread
verticalzero replied to Rooey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Project Stealth is coming on strong, I live 35 mins drive away from the park, but I will not be going on it though. The "Wild Mouse" at Blackpool,"Colssus" at Heide Park and "Goliath" at 6 Flags Holland in Holland are better coasters. 8) 8) I hope the brakes are not put on side of the Bunny Hop, as your be going over the hill then come to a slow stop why not have a straight bit of track to have the brakes on as you can then take the Bunny Hop at full speed and come out your seat. Nemesis Inferno will be a more exciting ride than this. It's boing going straight up over the top and straight down, why not have a twisted layout or an out "n" back type rocket coaster. The Park should of ordered a "woodie" from The Gravity Group for their main sig coaster. -
I wonder what the "Nash" would ride like if it had Melemulum (can't spell it right) Flyer trains, like the ones which "Thunderhead" has. I'm going to Blackpool at the end of Oct, so the new trains may be on the tracks. Have to give em loads of grease and oil to fly round the track. More airtime is needed on the "Nash".

Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
verticalzero replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What a great drop, I wonder how much airtime this produces. I'll have to book my fright over to Holiday World. "Woodies" who live near the park must be in heaven after hearing this is built on their doorstep.. I'll be there every weekend if I lived near. -

The track looks cool, should have loads of Airtime on the camelbacks. Does anyone have a drawing of how the finished ride looks like. -

The Voyage at Holiday World: This looks amazing, it has the speed,drops,90 degree corners, banked turns, a Triple down and lots of "Airtime". I would travel to this park from the UK, just to go on this ride next year. Project "Stealth" at Thorpe Park will be a run-of -the-mill rocket coaster. I will never go on this as I hate going vertical up and down. Black Mamba - This looks another world beater from B&M. -
What's the loudest Woodie as in going up the Chainhill, train running on the track and squeeling round corners. SOB - Loudest Chainlift Robin Hood - Loudest round Corners

Does anyone know if the Cyclone has suffered a accident and the ride has been closed.

Bid on Kennywood's Phantom Car
verticalzero replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
US $305.00 is a good price for a Rollercoaster car. As it is such a rare item to own, In the UK that's only £150. If you like the coaster the car came from you would bid for it. How much is a " Phoenix" or "The Beast" coaster car worth..?? -

When looking at both coaster their Helix's look simular, maybe the designers of SOB thought, " let's recreate this Helix which the Cyclone had". Check out this link of a model for the Cyclone: http://www.cmgmodels.com/cbc/CBC%20Gall%201.htm Now comapre it to SOB: http://www.rcdb.com/ig584.htm?picture=2 They seem the same design. Top Thrill Dragster Down again?
verticalzero replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's not good news as Kinda Ka can now enjoy some limelight until TTD is running again. But is Kinda Ka owned by the same company as Cedar Point.? I don't think its the speed or height which is the problem, I recon its the launch system. -

Hey - coasterguy618 What's Nitro like to ride for real as i've only see the Video which Robb has put on the site, it looks good with lots of airtime. -
Anyone have any new photo's of SFNO to see if the water has been drained away from the rides. I wonder if the Woodie will have to be torn down cos of rotting timber.
