I know size does not matter ( I said 200ft for a joke ) Another perfect example is "Falken" One of the key things for a coaster is to "maintain it's speed along the track" Do that and your have a winning coaster less than 80ft high. Come on AT do "England" proud and create a wonderful woodie in the woods. I sent a letter to "Paulton's Park" saying they should build a clone of "Falken" in the near future. -

AT could "pay" for all the locals to be re-housed atleast 20 miles away, that way AT can go above the Treeline and install a "Silverstar" clone.or a 200ft Hyper Woodie -

Alton Towers have wished for a woodie for years, I hope they get the permission to build a world class ride on the lines of "Balder" / "Megafobia" layout. Plenty of hills, banked turns, maybe a tunnel or 2 and lots of trees to fly past. The "Ropers" can move out the area soon, say to "Dartmoor" or "North Yorkshire Moors". The only noise they will have to put up is the wind and loads of sheep. -

1st Choice: Drive to Pembrokeshire National Park in Wales, buy lots of my fav food at Tesco, sit on a beach watching the Sun and light disappear 2nd Choice : I would flydrive to Cedar Point, ride MF or Magnum when the mushroom clouds appeared, there is no better way to die than having the ride of your life. 3rd choice : Drive to Walibi World in Holland a ride "Goliath" Let's hope it does not ever happen in our time, what a waste of life and all those lovely wood n steel coasters never to be ridden again. -

I'll be getting a PS3, but it is not going to arrive in Europe till March 07. If the console is "Region Free" for games, I will buy the 60GB USA version in November. I will also add a 500MB HDD (Hard Drive), 60GB is not enough

I've never been on this woodie and want to know what it rides like and were is the best seat on the train for the most G's and

Southport's Cyclone rollercoaster is one of England's rare and original wood tracked structures in it's class, manufactured by Charles Paige. It opened at Pleasureland, Southport in 1937 and is a major landmark in our town. Unfortunately, even as I type this it is being demolished. Please help by doing your little bit in fighting against the injustice being done - http://www.saveourcyclone.co.uk/index.php

Thank you all for your information on these Parks, I have found where "Chippewa Lake Park" is on "Goggle Earth" and will start collecting as much data as possible to make sure I get there. My 2008 trip so far is as follows: Chicago - Cedar Point - Chippewa Lake Park - Chicago - all parks in Wisconsin Dells and back to Chicago. I'll take 2 - 3 weeks to do this. I have found the following books to purchase which will help me: IDORA PARK: The Last Ride of Summer, Just want this for ref only, I won't visit this park. CHIPPEWA LAKE REVISITED, Sharon L. D. Kraynek. CHIPPEWA LAKE PARK CHRONICLES: 1800-1969, Sharon L. D. Kraynek. CHIPPEWA LAKE PARK, David and Diane Francis (Images of America Series). CHIPPEWA LAKE AMUSEMENT PARK: VOLUME 2: THE RUSH TO THE GLORY YEARS, Sharon L. D. Kraynek & Eli Beachy. CHIPPEWA LAKE AMUSEMENT PARK: IN THE BEGINNING, Sharon L. D. Kraynek. Anymore info will be greatful

This Sucks big time, BPB don't care about their ex-staff from Southport: A number of redundant staff from Pleasureland (Southport) called into the Job centre this morning (Tuesday 26th September 2006) to register for benefits, and to get their insurance claim forms in order to cover outstanding mortgages. Rudundant staff went through the paper work only to be told they are unable to process any claims (by Pleasureland) as Pleasurebeach Blackpool has allegedly failed to submit the necessary paper work. They have asked a couple of times for it but without success. All staff of Pleasureland permanent and seasonal are now unable to claim benefits.
