verticalzero replied to FLIPDUDE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
http://www.galaxy-erding.de/de/100683/100888/english.html GALAXY ERDING Germany For everybody who likes to have fun and action, Europe’s biggest Water Slide Paradise with 16 thrilling rides (three outdoor) is waiting for its conquerors. The GALAXY is built for young and old sliding fans with its several degrees of difficulties. Whether steeply, flat, winding, straight, rapidly, dynamically, shortly or long – with "GALAXY" the leading slides technical designers of Europe show what is possible. Starting with the longest indoor slide of Europe with about 320 m up to the Space Glider in which one is shot in his tube upwards even in upside routes. ---------------------------------------------------- The Water park is having a party on the 4th Aug from 9pm to 4am, Cost is 15 Euros. This is from their site and it is in German: Anyone translate please Slide & Party Night GALAXY ERDING Sa. 04.08.2007 21:00 - 04:00 Uhr Der Preis für die ungewöhnlichste Party wird dieses Jahr wohl nach Erding gehen! Airbrush Tattoos, Go Go Girls und diverse Künstler runden das ganze Programm ab. Achtung: Die Tickets werden sicher wieder knapp. Also schnell zuschlagen lohnt sich definitiv! Die ersten 500 Tickets gibt es schon zum Bestellen per FAX oder ONLINE. -
I heard that the Lakeview Grove picnic shelter, was the original Ravine Flyer station. I hope they can use this for their Ravine Flyer 2 woodie. Pic's: http://tmcgill1.photosite.com/RavineFlyerII Wood-coaster designers are pushing the envelope further and further, and Voyage proved to be *at least* as much as current PTC trains can handle (maybe even a bit more than that). The layout looks very impressive and can't wait for some pov's.

How far away is the Speedway circuit from CLP. What type of rides are these: Witch's Stew, the Toboggan. If the park can get back into the "Black" with money they can buy some new rides to replace the ones which have been moved out. The most important thing is as long as the "Blue Streak" and "Turtles" are not destroyed.

Drive to Plopsaland (Belgium) on the 7th Aug, Thorpe Park, Chessington and Alton Towers in Sept and Oct during the week, the kids back at school so the Q lines should be nice n short. -
A great idea to see where your cat goes during the day and night. http://www.mr-lee-catcam.de/pe_catcam1.htm Or you can attach a "Tracker" GPS unit to the cat.

I only do Crazy Golf. I wonder when EA will do a mini "crazy golf" game for Tiger Woods on PS3.

I did not take any pic's (Should of video'd the argument instead) of the women and 2 guys have a big "ding dong" in the Q line, I would of got decked if she saw me, she was that en-raged. The train (all 3 running) which I rode on the "Vampire" was smooth-ish, no bumps or bangs along the course. Your be more free to put your arms up if they used "Lapbars" / "Buttons" and not OHR. Vekoma should do a couple of test seats, I'll be happy to be a tester for a day. -

Vampire is so "smooth" with the new trains, wish "lapbars" could be used instead of OHR. -
I had a great day at Chessington, short Q lines for all the rides, even the Vampire, Dragon's Fury and Bubbleworks was a 45 min wait. The high-light of the day was a heated argument between a lady and 2 guys in the Q line for Dragon's Fury. I was 15 people behind and don't know why it started. The lady was saying "FU" to everyone who told her to stop shouting, even one of the guy's mum came over and told her off, this made her mad and said " White people are cu***" etc, she was white herself. Security arrived and she was asked to leave the park, when she passed she said " I want to stab someone". So out of order to say that. Must of been that time of the month for her. Enjoy the pic's: Ducks inside the Bubble Works View into the Bubble Works from the loading station Fully loaded train Drop after 2nd Lift Hill, has a good flick out. Testing of Vampire Last corner before the brakes. Some of Dragons Fury course Under the Immelmann Dragon's Fury from the Big Wheel Hocks Pocus Hall Nicely kept flowers n gardens Wave Swinger which shoots water to get the riders wet. Final Drop on Log Flume A relaxing Log Flume The Daddy "Sealion" was 27 years old which equals to 90 years in human terms. Bumper Cars, had a few head-on's Budda statue Everyone got soaked on this "Top Spin", the setting was lame and very short. Bubble Works loading station

The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread
verticalzero replied to MiamiBoii4392's topic in Random, Random, Random
I have Res Evil 4 on PS2. For all European Wii owners: ***** Please Take Note ***** Club Nintendo fans in Europe have been told this week that they risk losing their entire stock of Nintendo 'Stars' if they don't agree to new privacy terms. Customers have until July 15 to agree to new terms which give "permission to gather information about your online activities on our web site and with Nintendo’s products," a Nintendo statement said. The company said the move was necessary "To allow us to implement additional features on our website, to improve our products and to adapt them to our users’ needs and preferences." However, a stern warning later in the email - sent out on June 29, and again yesterday - revealed that users must comply with the new terms by Sunday or have their entire memberships deactivated. The email stated: "If you choose to DECLINE our new Privacy Policy , you will from [July 15] onwards no longer be able to use your Stars in the Stars Catalogue, as we will be forced to deactivate your Nintendo membership." The new privacy terms will give Nintendo the authority to track users' browsing habits on the Nintendo site, as well as their Wii console useage. The statement said: "Nintendo will collect information about the way you use your Wii and the Wii Network Services including, but not limited to, information about the games you download and/or play and how long you play them." However, closer inspection of the new privacy terms revealed an incentive to allow Nintendo access to users information. By linking the Wii Shop Channel account to the Club Nintendo account, users will be able to redeem Stars (included as a scratch card within every first party Nintendo title) to get Wii Points online, claim Stars for Virtual Console games purchased, and be able to check statistics from Wii games with online functionality - all depedant on availability, Nintendo said. http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=26705 -
Europe is not having a Price Drop for their PS3: http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=26698 Sony will not be cutting the price of the PlayStation 3 in Europe or releasing a 80GB model – instead it will be offering a Starter Pack containing the console, two games and an extra controller for GBP 425 / EUR 599 SCEA has greatly benefited from the USD 100 price cut announced earlier this week in North America, but Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has chosen to bundle first-party titles and a second Sixaxis controller with a combined RRP of GBP 115, rather than adjust the price. Due on sale in the UK on July 18 and in Europe August 1, the Starter Pack will offer two Sixaxis controllers and a choice of two first-party titles from a list of Resistance: Fall of Man, Motorstorm, Genji: Days of the Blade, Formula One Championship Edition and Ridge Racer 7. Then he has the cheek to say this: "With sell through of over 1.2 million units in the SCEE territories to date, PlayStation 3 has proved to be an instant and huge success," said David Reeves, president of SCEE. ---------------------------------------------------------- If the deal was the other way round so Europe had the price drop and USA did not, there would be an up-roar from the American's. They always get things cheaper, faster and before anyone else. Europe is the "slaves" of the Video Game world. I'm not complaining about this move by Sony as I already have a PS3 with an upgraded HDD of 160Gb. I can add an 400Gb external HDD later on when I run out of space. I want fair selling so all the new customers can buy a PS3 the same price as in the US.

What is your next park?
verticalzero replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Went to Paulton's Park on the 8th July, next up is Chessington on the 14th July. I'll have a break for the school holidays, head back to Thorpe Park when the schools return in Sept and the park has less than a 10 min Q for every ride. -
This is the 1st 1/2 of "Cobra" at Paulton's Park. Starts with a nice forceful circular 1st drop and to finish has 3 camelhumps (1 covered by a shed for an amazing headchopper effect) and a downward helix onto the brakes. I love this ride. Could do with a 200ft version though

iPod->PC transfer help needed...
verticalzero replied to CommanderLock's topic in Random, Random, Random
When I attach my I-pod to a USB cable on my PC, I-Tunes loads automatically and I can put a CD into the CD Tray and a notice will appear to ask if I want to transfer all the songs to I-Tunes. I do this and then copy the songs to the Library, drag n drop the songs in the Library to my I-Pod. -

23c, a bit stuffy and cloudy, looks like rain though. -
Killzone 2 lived up to it's "hype", all in game footage at last and not pre-rendered, Sony was just teasing since 2005, the PS3 can do this game or any 360 game with ease. The only thing wrong with 1st person shooters is there is not enough "colour" and far 2 much grey so it almost looks black and white. Last night, I downloaded all of the video's from the USA PSN store and still got 104Gb out of 160Gb of HDD left. Nice to see a re-designed PSP, a PS3 price drop but should be more than $100 off. Why not sell the PS3 for $199 with a game or film, Sony see their profits rocket and Microsoft gets destroyed.
