ECZenith's Coaster Models
rollermonkey replied to ECZenith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Off topic: ^ Grasshopper, just because you CAN swear, doesn't mean you have to. I see that you are young. Swearing doesn't make you sound older, smarter or make any other improvement to the impression you make. In general the opposite is true: You sound like a kid, less intelligent, and it makes a poor impression. Swearing doe have it's place. (Comedy clubs, movies, etc.) A forum with 13 year olds (and younger) isn't the right place. I can cuss like a sailor. Heck, I AM a sailor! I choose not to. On topic: Jarmor, ECZenith, keep doing what you do! Does anybody else make ride models? -
ECZenith's Coaster Models

I thought they looked pretty nice. Then I saw the pictures with the Quarter. Then I said holy something or other. Wow, that's an amazing level of accuracy for the scale you are working in. Now you just need to get some sort of foam or block material you can shape and paint to make the ittty bitty stations. How the #3ll did you make a coaster train out of wire? -

Der WOW! (Sorry, I don't know much Deutsch.) Where did the coaster go? That thing is looking like it will be enclosed completely at the rate they are covering it up! When I first saw the brown and black, I didn't like it, now it fits perfectly! -

Well, if you think it isn't very big, how tall is a 'standard' shoot the chutes? Then compare the height of the drop to the splash boat structure next to Eejanaika. I can't say I've measured this thing, but it is bery, bery big. I though the station looked small when it was just the foundation, now I can't believe how big that turned out. I still want to know how they are going to put the track in the station now that it has roof beams! "Isn't it Great?" I'm still trying to wrap my brain around that. Eejanaika is weird to type, too. 79 days to teh opening of Eejanaika! Too bad I'll be out to sea! -
The Busch parks, including the Sea Worlds have always been the kindest to us military types. I wouldn't reenlist SOLELY for the purpose of a little ERT, but I will be reenlisting sometime in 2007 at an amusement park in the US. (Likely 6FGAm, but maybe a trip to the Dells or Santa Claus would be nice...) Anybody interested in watching me take my oath while on a coaster?

The Big Cats of Shambala Matthew Sweet (It's on a Japan only album, which is weird, because my wife has never heard of him, and he has two Japan only albums.)

Wow. Um, I haven't seen a live show since I moved from the US in 2000. That means the last show I saw was, ugh, The Cure in Chicago, 1999 or 98. Rediculous! It figures that'd be something the ex wanted to see. I saw Edgefest that year and Metallica, also.

Errr, yeah... I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there. More cars = more weight = more wheels = more resistance = probably not as much faster or longer travelling as you'd think. Just because there is less weight in a single car train doesn't necessarily mean it would be launched faster. The process is limited by the pumps, hydraulics, cable and pulley system. Also, based on your 'momentum theory' the single car might not even make it over the hump! "Zis is a qvestion for zee engineers!" -

So, what's the target opening date for this beauty? If I get to go on the UK trip, I may have to modify my itinerary a bit. -

Wikipedia came back with "Ain't it great" for the translation. I'd side with your Japanese friend. So much meaning changes based on which kanji are used to spell a phrase. EEJANAIKA! -

Pronunciation guide: ay-ja-na-ee-ka (long a (beat and a half), soft a, soft a, long e, soft a) No clue what it means yet. I'll have to ask the wife when I get home, as she'll need to see the kanji to know what it means for certain. Eejanaika! Gutterflower, you kick @$$! Thanks! -
Photo TR:Egyptian park witha couple of rides.
rollermonkey replied to dubaidave's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
These and the Fantazy Land pictures remind me of when I went to Entertainment City in Doha, Kuwait @ 1996. They had a photo exhibit of what Saddam Hussein's troops did to the park when they invaded Kuwait. These two Egyptian parks look like they've been ransacked by an invading army, too! Entertainment City had been refurbished completely within a year of the Iraqi troop's expulsion. You've gotta love oil money, right G-dub? -

^Er, that's the point. CP has a lot of coasters, but not necessarily the best example of each coaster type. I'm not saying that any one park will ever have a ride collection that rediculously great. I didn't stick by any one chain, any one designer, or even any one continent. I am not a fanboy. I think you wear your allegiances on your sleeve. Open up your mind a bit! If you only agreed with the comparisons from other Cedar Fair parks, shame on you. So, what did you agree with? What didn't you agree with?

No? I had to search that one. It doesn't sound like my thing. Have you even HEARD of Gogol Bordello?
