  1. I can't recommend rope-dropping BGT. When I was there the same week last year, the only thing operating at opening was Cheetah Chase - everything else had a sign posting an opening an hour or two later. That was on a mid-week day though, maybe weekends are different. I think option B is probably your better choice.
  2. I think it's a combination of those factors, and the reputation that Vekoma earned here after 30+ years of making rather uncomfortable rides.
  3. Maybe I missed something, what's the other one? The standard boomerang?
  4. Probably sometime after their next taxpayer-funded bailout.
  5. ...to replace Ride of Steel.
  6. It's being discussed in the thread dedicated to this topic. Check there, lots of opinions.
  7. Looking through BGW's site, I do not see any of the following Platinum Season Pass add-on options: -All park, season long skip-the-line. -Any kind of dining plan. -Any kind of drink plan. I'll pass, thank you very much. I know I'm in the minority here, but I greatly prefer Kings Dominion to BGW and don't care at all about theming or stupid ride names that CF parks may have. I'm also a fan of rides that are finished opening in a timely fashion, not a year later, and all of the park opening at the same time. I also fail to see how "operating procedures" or "employee quality" is better at SEAS parks than CF parks on the whole. The improvement in food would be nice, but overall, I'm quite happy with the way things are at CF parks now.
  8. I'm probably the biggest Avalanche fanboy on this site, and I approve. Anything that keeps it from getting torn down.
  9. Everything should be open. Non-Scarowinds hours should be 11-6, but anything can happen between now and then. Note that at this park, the Halloween stuff is a separately gated event, meaning that if you buy a ticket for the day, you can't get in in the evening. If you have a pass, you're good, but you still need to leave during the "changeover" time. Yes, it's stupid.
  10. Meh. Let it fail. What do they even have that's worth saving? All I see are Moto Coaster, Tantrum, Silver Bullet, and Corn Popper. All easily relocated, and one less park in the middle of nowhere that's a pain to visit.
  11. Not to mention any of the original Batmans.
  12. If it has that result, I won't complain.
  13. I fail to see why the blackout dates would apply to those passholders/members, since only the basic level pass at SFMM has blackout dates, and the basic level pass/membership at other parks does not grant admission to all SF parks. Effectively, the holder of a pass/membership at another park would be the equivalent of the higher levels of pass at SFMM, thus no blackout dates. I think it's also worth noting that the only blackout dates at SFMM are the Fright Fest Saturdays. Many chains' "basic level" pass doesn't include admission to their Halloween events at all.
  14. LOL those better be diamonds. But knowing Disney, they're not.
  15. They do. It's why Dorney's doesn't use the holding brake and why Chiller at SFGAdv didn't launch at the same time after the first year or so.
  16. Independent smaller parks are still, mostly, trying to recover from the pandemic closures.
  17. Not Universal, but I went to both SWO and BGT last year mid-week *before* President's day weekend, and it was dead. I had the QuickQueues but did not need them at all.
  18. I'm sure they tried to sell it, and pretty much any of their parks that would've had room for an impulse already have one.
