  1. Dude, in the second paragraph of that article... Emphasis mine. That implies that some visitors are allowed, which logically means that they are open. Maybe not "fully open," but open. And here's everything you need to know: https://www.japan.travel/en/coronavirus/ It's complicated and a little confusing, but Japan definitely isn't closed to all international visitors.
  2. Nope, it was the standard thin crust. Guess I'm just spoiled by what NJ has to offer.
  3. Meh, I found Cesari's (yes, from the right spot) to be mediocre at best. Good for amusement park pizza, I guess, but still doesn't hold a candle to Mack's, Jonuzi's, or 3 Brothers (Seaside).
  4. What he said. I also cannot imagine a situation in which you would need a full day at Worlds of Fun.
  5. Looks like its their slingshot: https://www.sixflags.com/newengland/attractions/nightwing
  6. If by "Pledge of Allegiance" you mean "National Anthem," then yes, as does every Cedar Fair park I've been to.
  7. I've been following this. It's such an incredibly short-sighted move (to say anything further would get too political). Disney isn't the only "special district" this will affect, and we'll see how the municipal and state budgets like covering all of the infrastructure costs that those districts used to cover themselves. If this stands up to court scrutiny, anyway, which I'm not 100% sure it will.
  8. Like other's have said, it's not that 4D's don't attract guests - anything new will do that. The GP seems to eat it up, and this is the first one in a four hour radius for KD locals, so it's going to get some attention. The only Six Flags park that many of them have experience with is America, which somehow dodged the massive SF 4D-dump they took on most of their parks over the past few years. They just don't garner the immediate attention of the kind of folks that visit this site.
  9. I predict Xcalibur will open June 28th. and Freeze on November 13th. These guesses are just as valid as any other guesses you'll hear, because the park has announced nothing.
  10. I stand by their assessment. S&S 4Ds are not for me, and I too only rode it for the credit, though mine was the third of the day (preceded by Dominator and Woodstock Express).
  11. I'm not particularly "mad" at them...just lost faith in their ability to operate. And yeah, everyone who stopped complying with the terms of contracts that they had entered is just as bad. That last comment...again, please share whatever is clouding your mind. It must be some good shit!
  12. So you're in the camp that believes the reason they didn't open Iron Gwazi, Pantheon, or Ice Breaker last year was because they didn't want to, not the fact that they hadn't finished paying for the rides? And no, it's no "good business." In the business world, typically contractors like to be paid when they're supposed to be, per the original contract, not on whenever the customer decides to pay them. I would not be surprised if Intamin, RMC, and Premier kindly decline working with them for the near future. The same "fiscally conservative" company that tried to buy Cedar Fair last year? Also realize how contradictory your last sentence is there to the entire point you've been trying to make. Whatever you're smoking, please share with the group.
  13. Yeah, if you renewed a previously existing season pass, it is automatically activated for this year (along with any season add-ons you purchased for 2022). You won't even need photo ID, just the card (or scan from the your phone) will suffice.
  14. Yep, the company that couldn't even pay for their rides needs to add 6 coasters to one park alone. That makes sense. And news flash - PETA has been trying to shut down SeaWorld since the beginning of either. It's nothing new.
  15. Extremely doubtful. I would predict a traditional giga before that...monstrosity.
  16. I'm pretty sure you can buy the QQ in the park if you need it; one of the more frequent visitors will chime in if I'm wrong. Cheetah Chase is an Intamin so it's like to go up and down all day; I'd head there first. Then grab Montu and Cobra's Curse (if spinning coasters are your thing) and make your way around the rest. Sand Serpent might get a line since it's a Wild Mouse, not sure. Note that if it's anything like my trip in February 2021, most of the park won't start operating until an hour or two after opening, so good luck with that. As for food, the only thing I had was the pretzels from the place near Scorpion, and they are incredible.
  17. Thanks for the report! I'm a sucker for fairs and carnivals too, and honestly we don't see enough of them on here. Were there any trains at this "Railroad Festival"?
  18. Yeah, what everyone else said. You shouldn't need FL. Is this your first trip to the park? If so, I would hit Reptilian first, since its capacity is HORRIBLE, then Tumbili, then duck back up into the kids area for Woodstock Express (I always feel less weird in the morning when there's not a full queue of kids), then Flight of Fear (not the greatest capacity, and always gets a longer line than most everything else), then Apple Zapple (another horrible throughput ride, if you care about getting the credit), and then Twisted Timbers. Then go about the day as you see fit. Let me know if you want row recommendations or any other tips; KD isn't the closest park to me but I consider it my "home" park.
  19. Good to know. I haven't been since the year they removed Big Bad Wolf.
  20. Thanks for the report. And great to know about the QQ "assigned rows" situation; kinda solidifies my decision to not buy one for an upcoming trip.
  21. In their defense, which is extremely rare for me, $29 is pretty much par for the course when it comes to this super-sized, never-stopping, observation wheels. The High Roller in Vegas starts at $23.50 for an adult during the daytime and $34.50 for an adult at night, and that's not even a bar car (which starts at $60). The Capital Wheel at the National Harbor is $15 for an adult. Seattle's Great Wheel is $16, Skywheel Myrtle Beach is $17, Centennial Wheel in Chicago is $18, and the wheel at Icon Park in Orlando is $28. Hell, even the traveling-type wheel that was installed in Midtown Manhattan for a few months was $20 a person, and you couldn't see shit except the buildings right next door. Given that this is in perhaps the most expensive market in the US, right next door to the Amusement Park which once charged over $100 for a four hour block, yeah $29 is a deal. Also, the wheel at American Nightmare it is entirely outdoors.
  22. We've been hearing that for a decade. I wouldn't get my hopes up.
  23. Meh, not interested unless there's bar cars like the High Roller in Vegas.
