New coaster design!
redunzelizer replied to EpcotLova's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A floorless log ride is easy to do. Have a Katamaran like boat with peeps in the middle, hanging in OSTRs only, while their lower bodies get dragged through the water. Just take measures that the folks don't defecate too much during the ride. I'd personally want the "inverted spinning wild mouse" though... ...preferably built by Vekoma 70's standards for maximum enhanced ride impact experience redunzelizer -
New coaster design!
redunzelizer replied to EpcotLova's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
We've been discussing this lately and came up with that "Wooden Inverted Standup Launched Back2Back Coaster". Quite easy to imagine, even with the included under water section... -

Banking transitions that are just wrong.

C'mon don't make a fool out of yourself. You just saw that pic on CS a few minutes ago (where i had posted it on some banking discussion), and BTW obviously got quite irritated by that thread (judging from your reply there). So here's the full link to ease your pain: http://drkssk2.fc2web.com/ikoma/rollsle/rollsle.html it's "Jet Roller" within Mt. Ikoma Amusement Park http://rcdb.com/pd453.htm -

Actually this was a "pet meeting". One of my SGI's and that Face Hugger of a friend of mine he had bought for *much* money from the original Alien filmset (Alien II. AFAIK, he even showed me the scene where it actually showed up for a moment) Ah, yes, that "pet meeting". Glad it did not work out into a full "pet mating". redunzelizer BTW: he's got an original Egg too, so we could have started breeding! A cozy menage a trois. Some out-of-this-world-species having a friendly and understanding encounter.

I have to apologize for the possible pr00nographic content. But hey, it's about our beloved pets, so showing anything even obscene about these should be absolutely *natural* in any case... Some time ago, two pets in loving embrace, involved in caressing dialogue...

A secret while riding The Hulk today
redunzelizer replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
While it should be technically *possible* to trim launch speed a bit, it also could only have been some whitty "Ride Hypn-Op" doing an excellent job... 8) -
A secret while riding The Hulk today
redunzelizer replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
FYI: G-forces are coupled to speed in a quadratic relation, so speeding up the Hulk from say 66 to 71 mph (wich is a quotient of ~1.076) will increase g-forces by about 15 - 16%. Of course, these speed difference will vary over the whole course, depending on whatever, so this is a very rough example of "cheapneez calculation". But IMO you should very well be able to feel that difference. redunzelizer -

TEA At any time, which i personally in common refer to as "Track Enhancement Accelerator", since i'm into mangling coaster track calculations for NoLimits in times. ( hint: http://nldc.interfix.net/p577 ) redunzelizer Ah, yes, almost forgot. Just in case: yet more TEA!

Ever had Hungarian Donkey Salami? which immediately and inevitably leads to this other question: Will asking the first question have consequences on my membership? redunzelizer (who knows by taste that "Donkeys Are Very Okay")

After this you might never ride coasters again.

It came to my mind that they did a good job with matching the track type to the type of movie (or was it vice versa???)
