  1. BTW: here's the full "hellicish" photo coverage from Lauf Forrest: http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=20134&start=256&7281

  3. Anything on rails. I repeat: anything! I'd assume you can't sink any deeper than me... But i never ever count or record. I just enjoy them all. redunzelizer P.S. motorized donkeys, gravitational donkeys, who cares as long as these are guided...
  4. Ah stooopid me! Just learned that the old ones are still avail... fine then! Thanx.
  5. That's about the most stooopid poll ever... Stengel did each and every Schwarzkopf ride from 1965 to the closing/sellout of Anton's company. This including all the flatrides and ferris wheels too. So which is better? Schwarzkopf or Schwarzkopf? or: Stengel or Stengel? Looks like beeing a clear case of MSLSM vs. MSLSM! Thank for that incredible lough, you definitely made my day... redunzelizer EDITED for classic smilies...
  6. some more pics of that whatchamacallitwhocaresanywaylement plus evolving Zero-G: http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=20134&start=216
  7. Oh wait, I do think a lot did understand the problem *very* well. Let's put this into some (apparently stoopid but IMO well working) metaphers: You have a problem with your gf/wife, so you just shoot the neighbor's dog. That's at least how this particular "downvoting actions" appears to me. Messing up a coaster's own quality with issues of a park advertizing it is IMHO ignorant, misleading and totally missing any credibility. At the moment, I must admit, I have lost a lot of respect for some of these so called "experienced riders" out there. It looks like the so called opinions of all these oh so bored and obviously totally overfed enthusia$$ts are the worst possible guidance for having plain fun, for which i personally am heading. At least we do know know. redunzelizer
  8. one more rail for that "hydrated" Immelmann: http://tinyurl.com/exdh7 plus some more construction site pics: http://tinyurl.com/bxuqg

  10. Some updates from today: http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=19457&start=366&7281 And a merry Xmas and happy holidays to you all!
  11. Well, Yngve, this one B&M sitdown will probably become quite painfull when "overused": http://www.bmracing.com/index.php?id=gallery&sid=2&catid=1&carid=4
  12. So guess why it's called 360* 8) *because the damage takes one full turn!
  13. Yes, basically, but IMO it should read: "and then B&M may offer a custom as well as a 'clone' coaster as options. " My idea: still the parks will do the desicion...
  14. I think you're absolutely right. I just wanted to point this out to those so called "enthusiasts" who lack the ability to understand what's decided by *parks* actually and *not* at all by the roller coaster manufacturers.
  15. BTW a note on so called "B&M clones": There is no such thing like a "B&M clone"! If the parks (namely SF) weren't so boring creative with the introduction of new rides that often, B&M would not have built these "clones" multiple times. So if ever, there might be a kind of "SF clone". That's why I intentionally will repeat: There is no such thing like a "B&M clone"! Go think!
  16. My vote goes to Werner Stengel. Hey you were asking for "designers"? Weren't you? In case you take a look at how many coasters by B&M, Intamin, Premier (plus Vekoma, Zierer, Maurer Söhne, Mack, not to forget the older Schwarzkopf/BHS works) have been either designed or finalized by Stengel & his Team within the last decades, you might find out how ridiculous any such poll might work out. Lookie: http://rcdb.com/installationresult.htm?column=1,10,3,4,5&order=1,2&contact=30 Recently more and more companies have done complete designs & engineering of their own (B&M and Maurer for instance) which I think is still a kind of "Stengel inheritage", now continued in a worthy way. Regarding other details as there are restraints, theming, maintainance for instance, do also blame the parks and the authorities. These are the ones to define a lot if not most of the resulting rides, with manufacturers only supplying a certain demand, nothing more. I won't vote at this "poll". You might understand. Or not. IMHO B&M, Intamin, Premiere, as well as quite a few other coaster companies are simply not comparable in the way of "being the best". redunzelizer P.S. You could of course say "I like XXX the most" any time. There's nothing better than a variety in preferences, thus coloring the world. This would have been fine, but sadly was *not* the question of this "poll".
  17. It really isn't fair to the individuals who actually put hard work in calculus, if someone who is smart at handbuilding and can shift vertices wins, because tools are ruled out. This is a NO LIMITS Competition... Come on, how ignorant dare you to be? "Mathing" some NL coaster can get very tough, especially when trying to achieve fluent and realistic transitions. People who *finally* are able to calculate some parts of their tracks have put tons of efforts into understanding how to do it, yet they have to *find* out the according numbers again and again for each new piece of track. You say "punching in numbers". This only shows that you are either not willing or not able to understand what these "tools" are about. And you simply forget that this is all about FUN! Each person mangling NL has his very own way of having this fun. So you speak up and demand rules to deny others their fun??? Shame on you! redunzelizer
  18. Please be more patient! The fifth woodie inbetween the other four won't be built before 2017.
  19. roeterich, not your fault, but they rearanged the threads so tho old link is obsolete. Here's the new one: http://tinyurl.com/77hmo
  20. Yes, that *was* the rumor until this "confirmation" showed up on: http://www.theparks.it/news.php?id=273 There still is a chance though that this (last remaining) Katapult is to be "parked in use" for one or two seasons at Mirabilandia only. (somehow like "SBSO": standing, but still operating) At least it has been refurbished, which is a good sign to see it continue operating.
  21. Some more info about this type of ride: http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/ESkatapultGF.htm http://schwarzkopf.coaster.net/OKkatapultGF.htm Italian site with 4 more pics: http://www.theparks.it/news.php?id=273
  22. more pics, this time not so blurry: http://www.onride.de/viewtopic.php?t=19457&start=209&7281
  23. Of course, lots of quality there. But it's so much fun to make fun... 8) BTW: small, tiny, blurred pic, nevertheless:  http://freizeitparkweb.de/cgi-bin/dcf/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=844&forum=DCForumID60
  24. Hehe, Guy, never mind. Looking through these german forums you'll mostly find exaggerated discussions about: - disassembling the lifhill again, for adding more theming - B&M introducing 2-seater trains, because of the tight clearance - Will be finished in Jan. 2006. Will not yet be finished in 2006. Both for sure! - Construction work secretly happening on Sundays & during the nights. - Will get flyer trains, because of some estimated layout. - Trains getting stuck due to air friction in the tight ravines. - Evacuation platforms for various part of the ride. - Rants: Boring construction site, nothing to see, no pics available. - My dad / uncle / dad's uncle is working there, and yes, he told me... Hope this helps (for finding the demand on speaking german not that urgent, coaster-wise). But, in case you now feel you missed something though, better get some language course, quick! redunzelizer
