Firefox problems?
redunzelizer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Of course, in terms of available functions, IE will work for the everyday Internet just like *any* other current browsers will do. But, whenever of one my (not so computer-educated) customers calls me up and bugs me with the latest virus/troian/whatever news he had heard in the news / on TV, I am able to tell these, my customers in most of the cases: "Don't worry, you're safe, you're *not* using Internet Explorer / Outlook" However, it's everybody's own choice how (and how often) to get exploited. Just my two customer cares, redunzelizer 8) -
Firefox problems?
redunzelizer replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So i'm using FF too - with caring about my browser settings. Working with TPR as perfect as could be. Robb, this is a typical PEBCAK. Please, please, don't feel "forced" into downgrading your site for these kind of problems. It would be like putting OSTR's and 3 seatbelts on a sofa. Someone always *could* fall off... http://catb.org/~esr/jargon/html/P/PEBKAC.html -

Nope, you missed the one designer hint on top of this page... ...though it was built by the same company.
-
No. But created by the same legendary coaster designer. 8) Hmmm... how many more hints will you need?
-
Yes indeed, somewhere east of(!) Illionois...
-
yes, indeed, I do like your question. While sounding innocent it carries a subtle sense of irritation at the same time. Well done! So, are you the one to finally guess that "mystery coaster" pic I posted??? http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20233&start=290  EDIT: came too late, Brazil answer instead: Yes, to the movie!
-
HCOSurfer90 definitely was closest until now, in terms of any hints given. On more: the pic is not from RCDB. Now come on, go get it folks! 8)

Expedition Ge Force could kill you?
redunzelizer replied to TheStig's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Since heart troubles can kill you under any kind of stress, thus also when riding a rollercoaster, and especially in case when the data observered have been gathered on EGF, then of course it's only reasonable to think that: EGF will kill you! Pure amoeba logics, will work all the time with "Lietenant General O.M.F.G. Public" redunzelizer -

Anyone need No Limits help?
redunzelizer replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
For the moment you will have to stick to the existing available track styles in NL, these carrying the according trains. There are no Intamin launch coasters (yet?) so you'll have to "misuse" the existing hypers for any launched one. -
No. But as it has been said: PTC 4-seater trains. 8)

The Revolution--back in the day
redunzelizer replied to coasterboy76's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes, the Revoltion, one of the important rides in coaster history. I just read what that "Ace Roller Coaster Landmark" plate said. "Custom built by Swiss ride manufacturer Intamin and based on the design of [...] Anton Schwarzkopf...". Nope. To my best knowledge not at all. Anton, together with Stengel *built* that ride all on their own. Intamin obviously were only involved as plain trade agency with this coaster. How come that SFMM representatives were reported to have visited Anton's factory in Münsterhausen (Germany!) then, for taking a peek and test ride the very first clothoid looping on earth right *there*? (Source: the "Stengel Book") FYI, redunzelizer -
You definitely deserve another hint: "no steel, no brass, no rubber either." And as far as i can see you'll even deserve a second one here: That coaster is listed in a "special category" on RCDB. Too bad I just "forgot" which one...

Anyone need No Limits help?
redunzelizer replied to Mr.Six's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Now folks, let me explain a bit: We know that rotating NL-elements can be done *both* with the Purgatorium and Tia's excellent Construction Kit as well. With the initial wording of "The purg is a program for rotating elements in different ways" you may easily read it in a way so that the Purg is there *only* for that purpose. Therefor - and that's exactly what I had read from it - the Purg had been rendered quite useless/obsolete in that post. Especially with regarding any newcomer seeking helpful information. We all know that the Purg is hard to use because of its obfuscated user-interface, it's slow, and even buggy in places. Anyone critizising this (including myself) will have a good point. Nevertheless, from 3 years of existence and some people making real good use of many of it's advanced features (which up to date nowhere else can be found) I cannot and will not accept any statement that degrades the Purg's usability like that. Mr. Six, I do understand that it was never you intention to do so, but I wished your later explanation: "what I usually do with it." would have been there right from the beginning. Saying "I gave him my answer what I usually do with it" is for sure what you meant to say, but you definitely did not first hand (see above). So my first responce might have been way too harsh - sorry for *my* wording then - but yet I hope very much you now see why I had to correct your statement. The same obnoxious "attitude" you all are critisizing is just that very attitude that makes me provide all the things I do provide to the NL community in the way I do and for free. With all these, my efforts put into that stuff until now (and still putting), I herby ask you to understand that I will not want to accept all too erroneous information about my works, as already stated. And yes, I'm picky to the most extent. So in case you don't want me to carry that attidude and pickiness, then don't expect me to contribute either. This is for a purpose. Otherwise I would not be able to create any such precise tools or formulas in the peculiar way I do. And BTW: I'm not living on this planet to be "Mister politically correct Nice Guy". Not at all, instead I want to provide the best I can. So I'll keep it. yours sincerely, Stephan P.S.
