  1. I've only been on 3 B&M Standup coasters so far,but I like the Georgia Scorcher better. SES :o
  2. My picks for the Best Themed Ride are: Revenge of The Mummy(USF),Alpengeist(BGW),and Tower of Terror(Disney/MGM). SES
  3. I first heard of a theme park in Virginia when I was in 6th grade, that was our end-of-the-year trip. So,my very first coaster was The Rebel Yell, and my first steel coaster was The King Kobra in 1986. SES
  4. Since I live only 2 1/2 hours away(by car),I have to say that BGW is better. I haven't had a chance to go to BGT this year. Hopefully, next year,I'll have a chance to go. I heard a lot about SheiKra and the other coasters there. Also,I rode my very first hyper(Apollo's Chariot)at BGW. Take care SES :o
  5. Even though I voted for El Toro,I am excited about all the new coasters in 2006. SES
  6. Very nice pictures. I went to the IAAPA Show last year, and it was ok. SES
  7. Mostly its a tie between SFA and PKD for me. SES
  8. Well,I first started reading about coasters in the mid-to-late 1990's,actually,I didn't really got going til 1997,when Alpengeist came on the scene. Then,I went to my first coaster event in 2000,at PKD. Take care SES :o
  9. After several(and I mean SEVERAL) times,I finally got to the LaRonde website. After switching to the English version, saw the announcement. Looks decent enough, but I won't be going to ride it anytime soon(maybe in a couple of years from now). Like the layout, though. SES :o
  10. IT IS ABOUT TIME!!! At least I won't have to go to Ohio(but I'll still go to PKI). From what I heard about the one at PKI,it should be very interesting. They even changed the name by one word. SES
  11. I would say Goliath and the coaster at Beech Bend. SES
  12. I would say Goliath and the coaster at Beech Bend. SES
  13. With me,personally,it's a tie between SRoS(SFA) AND Nitro. SES
  14. My parents used to ride coasters before they got sick,so I just took over from them. As for my friends, some like it,some don't. On my job,I have a few co-workers who ask me coaster and theme park-related questions. So,it is sort of a mix what they think. Take care SES
  15. I just got back from Six Flags America a while ago, and it was early into the morning,my friend and I went on The Joker's Jinx first thing. We came back into the station, and there was hardly anybody waiting in our row,so the ride ops asked if we would like to stay in our seats, and we said yes. So,we rode it again. Take care SES p.s. ALL the coasters were running(including the Typhoon SeaCoaster).
  16. Get there early so that you can enjoy everything. Also, try out the mazes. I went to it last year, and it was pretty decent. Take care SES
  17. Well, something else to look forward to riding next year. From what I've seen on their website,it looks decent enough. Can't wait to see it measures up to the other new wooden coasters for next year. Talk to you soon Take care SES :o
  18. I always start the season off with a trip to PKD. Last weekend,I went there to get my Season Pass. I live only about a hour and a half from there. Also,I love Drop Zone. Tomb Raider:Firefall is pretty decent, too. Volcano is still one of my favorites. Hopefully,I plan to go to FearFest sometime in October. Take care SES :o
  19. I would have to say that Volcano is in a class by itself because it is the first of its kind, also Son of Beast(even though it is painful). What only wooden coaster in the world has a loop. That's just my opinion. Take care SES :o
  20. A bunch of us went to PKD yesterday to get our 2006 Season Passes. And,sure enough,we saw the sign for Italian Job. So,it looks like that we are getting it for next year. Also, everything was running, even Hypersonic. Take care. SES
  21. Well,I would have to say that the program should include all the coasters being built for next year, here in this country and abroad. But,mainly I would like to see the two wooden coasters that GCII are building for next year, and also Goliath at SFOG. But one question: When is the show supposed to air on TV? Take care SES
  22. I was planning to go to Missouri in October, but I can wait til next year. The layout looks a little bit like Talon, but thankfully,it doesn't have a mid-course brake like some others. Looking forward to riding it next year. Take care SES :o
  23. PKD for me. I grew up with The Rebel Yell,Grizzly(which,by the way,is running very good this year),and Hurler(needs some work done,IMO).Hersheypark has some good woodies too. Take care SES
  24. Top 10 Wood: 1. Thunderhead,2.Grizzly(PKD),3.Beast,4.Phoenix,5.Wild One,6.Lightning Racer,7.Legend,8.Thunder Run,9.Raven,10.Roar(SFA). Top 10 Steel: 1.SRoS(SFNE),2.SRoS(SFA),3.Millennium Force,4.Storm Runner,5.Top Gun(PCarowinds),6.Alpengeist,7.(TIE)Steel Force/Apollo's Chariot,8.Kingda Ka,9.Nitro,10.Volcano,The Blast Coaster. Honorable Mention goes to: Wood-Comet(Hersheypark) and Steel-Talon(Dorney). Take care SES
  25. I always try to go there once a year. It is a very nice park, and it has one of the most wicked coasters out there,Cyclone. I also like the fact that it is not that much crowded. I hope that someone or some other park will take care of it. SES
