Unless that price includes disassembly, reassembly, and transport which I very much doubt, it doesn't seem like good value. I'm surprised they wouldn't just practically give it away for a token amount if the buyer is willing to foot all of the above costs. I remember seeing Intamin 1st Gen freefalls like Demon Drop for $250K but I don't think they were getting any takers. My experience with Schwarzkopf's is that they are always better than they look, for example, Monte at Knott's looks like nothing but the launch is quite forceful and it's a good ride.

I still can't get over the brightness of the colours you get in those photos, I gotta learn how to use my camera or go back to a Nikon. As far as marriage goes, personally I'd blow off Disney for one of those drive through weddings in Vegas, you don't even have to get out of your car, but I'd definitely want to honeymoon at Cedar Point. But somehow I think I'll get railroaded into a conventional wedding day and no coaster credits on the honeymoon, such is non-enthusiast girls. -

Shame about the flash pass, I love those things. I've been so lucky that SROS has been running both times I have been to SFNE - that is my greatest fear with SFNE. A day with SROS running equals bloody brilliant day, a day without SROS running equals utterly excrable, atrocious waste of a day. I can't wait to ride SROS again in August, fingers crossed. -
Big Mike, like others have said, we are all still watching just not commenting (does that make us forum voyeurs?). I am definitely enjoying the vision you are giving us of these parks. It is especially exciting for me given I will be visiting many of these parks in August once I negotiate that minor detail of being separated from all these sweet parks by 8,000 miles of ocean and then 4,000 miles of land.

Can I add to Cedar Point - Weekdays on the last week of August / first week of September (i.e. last week they are open every weekdays) I have found had pretty light crowds though the park does close earlier. Entering the park through the Magnum Gate is the best place to go in the morning to get to Maverick or Dragster quickly, Marina Gate is best for Millennium Force. If you have early entry privileges, get there well before early entry opening as there is usually lines. Always check the Cedar Point website (and the Getaway Guide) for coupons, I got $20 off a night at Hotel Breakers for example. To get the cheapest rooms at CP Properties like Hotel Breakers, get in early. It might also be worth mentioning how to get to Cedar Point properties from the airport without a car as this is a little tricky, I know I certainly could have used this information when I first visited there. -

^^Team hetero is very disappointed we missed that sight on the Midwest Trip, a couple of girls did flash for the on-ride on Son Of Beast when we were riding so we didn't miss everything. I guess in that guys defence though, how many of us weren't a bit difficult when we were 15? -

All us Hershey hating East Coast Trippers will be there soon enough, we can stage a hate rally, Hershey's going down. Seriously I love the park, I went there in 2004 and they were so nice to me. The lady at the information booth offered me her cell phone for the day in case I needed to call a taxi to get back to Harrisburg Greyhound and the security guard at the ticket booth got me a discount voucher before I brought my ticket. -

Good to hear what the big F is like, nice TR, I'll be looking forward to getting to Hershey in August. I'm happy you actually got to ride it. I was doing the coaster of the week for it today for the East Coast trip and there are already some nice photos of F floating around the net. I loved Maverick and I'm not ashamed to admit it, being tall I don't get ear bashed or felt uncomfortable riding it and I felt like Maverick was a compilation of the best bits of a whole lot of coasters. -
