I remember my first visit to MM in 1992, it was my first day on the American mainland, and I had seen Encino Man just before going which alerted me to MM's existence. Flashback was the big "new" ride that year - I still have the cup which celebrated the event, and Viper was my first ride ever.

La Ronde in 2005 was pretty bad, the ride ops were asleep just about, they made Six Flags in the US (which were generally bad at the time) look great. I guess it must be a French thing to smoke anywhere, irrespective of whether it's a no smoking area or not.

^The Darien Lake one might be a little different, it's a Zamperla rather than an Intamin like Motocoaster. The Zamperla is taller than Motocoaster but a bit slower with a different launch system to Motocoaster. Neither are exactly destination coasters in my book. Even though I have been to the Gold Coast since Motocoaster opened, I will ride the Darien Lake one first, such is my lack of desire to go to Dreamworld.

Gee, Dells is turning into a coaster slaughterhouse. It wouldn't surprise if Riverview closed, they wouldn't offer much competition to Mt Olympus and some of the other attractions in the area. It might be possible that Dive To Atlantis may be sold to a crap park near you. Wow Little Titans will be the only steel at Mt Olympus now, not that anyone on this site over 12 will be allowed to ride it.
