  1. I made it to First Class, but I dropped out several years later. I then took up Taekwondo and got my Black Belt. At least I have one major accomplishment from an activity.
  2. It's great to see some more of our good friend Larry from the TPR day at the park! I haven't been following this project much, but is this being built on the land once occupied by Drachen Fire?
  3. At first, I thought you had brought back Windjammer, because of the colors.
  4. ^ Yeah that's how I've done it on my parks. Let me guess, bathroom from Geauga Lake? No seriously, I'd guess Big Dipper.
  5. It already is here in CO. If you could make your park look like the rapids logo, that would be awesome. In fact, a little extra effort, and you could get the rapids ride looking a lot like this picture. I've done so on parks of mine. Just don't be afraid to try new things to add to the realism. Kinda makes me want to start a Six Flags park that is better than just mediocre. If I had time in my life, I would start one up. Fucking lab reports and calculus eating up my spare time.
  6. ^ What he said. Unless this is Six Flags Over Chernobyl, the acid green toxic waste-ish lake doesn't really fit.
  7. This is the closest we have come to TPR having its own park!
  8. This kid thinks it's ok to post a new thread as an unnecessary response to his other thread that was locked.
  9. The only picture I have of the waterpark is of the closed down Hurricane Mountain body slides. Enjoy!
  10. I didn't know Xcelerator opened in 2012.
  11. Unfortunately, not too many pictures exist of waterparks. Aerial photos are the best way to see everything. Here is the link to the aerial view of SFA.
  12. Yeah, I'm not feeling the Denver atmosphere. First off, there are no mountains in Denver - you have go further west to get to those. Secondly, the area is not so green either. It's really dry here. This park could use something like a mine train, but not too heavily themed because it's Six Flags, and you saw how extensively they theme rides like Tony Hawk.
  13. I have rode it a few times over the past few years. My first ride on it was in 2001 and I remember it being pretty good then. In 2006, it wasn't that enjoyable, but the following year, it was great! It's definitely better than some older Arrows (like CGA's Demon), but not as good as Loch Ness Monster.
  14. ^ My advice would be to don't kiss and tell.
  15. Not much to comment on, but I'm looking forward to seeing some rides.
  16. Adam - I guess that was SFA's *big* announcement. Except instead of moving rides from HRP, they moved SFA. Good stuff! If SFAfan#1 was still here, he would probably stab someone when he saw that. The South Park one is awesome too! Needs something themed to Manbearpig, and it would be perfect. My vote is between those two.
  17. Recent coaster related activity inspired me to do a little more "bashing" on the park. SCR5.BMP From an interview with Cedar Fair about the park's 2009 season: "Holy s#!+ we're so hardcore. We put two yellow coasters next to each other and still made the park as good as Cedar Point! Gawd! I'm so big,..." said Dick. Does any part of this fake interview remind anyone of anything *real* this bad? SCR3.BMP The ride was supposed to be removed to make way for a new for 2010 coaster, but the project was moved to another Cedar Fair park due to excessive fanboy speculation. So for 2009, Diamond Back will make an epic return after it closed early last season for the planned removal. SCR2.BMP Diamond Back is going the path of Nighthawk by receiving the same new colors for 2009. Goodbye one of a kind color scheme. SCR4.BMP OMFGZ SHIFTKEY ITZ TEH YELLOW BM TRAXX!!1!1 In other news, this will be the first B&M aquatrax. Yes, the mysterious yellow B&M is going to the middle of nowhere Mormon country in southern Idaho under the name "Backlot Possessed Waterhawk." SCR1.BMP Another classic log flume becomes the victim of Cedar Fair's strictly enforced log flume discrimination policy.
  18. ^ Nah, this is just a woodie without seat dividers. That way they can fill both seats of the car the way we credit whores fill both seats on kiddie coasters.
  19. Red and Yellow? McDonalds? Cmon guys, it's obviously for DelGrosso's as "Sauce: The Ride"
  20. Looking at the new park map, it will be interesting to see how they handle the ride's queue and exit paths. From the planned layout on the map compared to the aerial photos, it does not look like they have much room around the ride to accommodate for the paths. Looks like we might see the path go right next to Deja Vu and replace the last remaining trees dividing the rides. Another thing that caught my attention is the bathroom next to where the shooting gallery was, is not shown on the new park map. The entrance spans to the Cold Stone building on that side on the map. The bathroom looks very rundown from the pictures, and maybe they will demolish that too as construction on the entrance begins later this spring. Just a thought that they might be holding off on the demolition of the bathroom so they can get the most use out of it until they start work on the entrance itself.
  21. Woo for Colorado Parks! That Arrow looper looks better than all the coasters at Elitch's. Can't wait to see more!
  22. Is this what happens when Son of Beast and El Toro have a baby? A little bit on the extreme end, Matt. Yes, sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad. About checking for stats, all you have to do is click "Coaster" icon on the top of the screen in the editor, then go to "Statistics" where you can view your track length. To check for the max height, I don't think there is a way to calculate the exact height, so I just approximate. To do this, go to one of the side views in the editor, roll your cursor over the highest point of the ride, and the y-axis value will show directly above the editor. For example, in this picture, this GCI of mine is roughly 100ft tall, and the length (not pictured) is roughly 2900ft. I hope this helps.
  23. Last year, I rented a tux for my prom. I asked my date what would be the best for me since she was more experienced with formal occasions than me. There's nothing wrong with guys renting a tux when their date is paying far more for her dress. Afterall, I was the one paying for both of our overpriced prom tickets. My senior prom was held in San Francisco. I'm not sure what the prom culture is like here in the Denver/northern Colorado area.
  24. ^ Oh god... So my roommate and I bought an American Flag for our room, and I couldn't resist this when I saw what was on the tag.
  25. Texas Cliffhanger (Intamin 1st Gen Freefall) - Six Flags Over Texas Mill Race (Log Flume) - Cedar Point Extremeroller (Arrow Standup) - Worlds of Fun
