SFGAdv or Cedar Point
Goliath513 replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would go to Cedar Point. Their operations are much better than GADV's (I got all my credits at CP in one day despite rain) and their coaster collection is stronger. Sure, there's no El Toro, but they have Millennium Force and Maverick (my #1). Oh, and TTD is better than KK in my opinion (smoother, no OTSRs) They also have a great collection of flats and water rides. Thunder Canyon and Snake River Falls are awesome. Not sure how SFGAdv's water rides compare since I didn't get a chance to ride them. To answer your other question, I think you mean Cincinnati, not Columbus. Mapquest will help you figure out if that is worth the trip. I would do that trip if I could just to ride Diamondback. -

Wow, you traveled all the way to Spain for one kiddie coaster credit!? -
Did anyone notice how when Jfleming stopped posting, Cyclone came around asking for the same stuff? Once you've been banned, you can't make another account to continue posting the same content that got you banned in the first place. Who remembers when this same thing happened with SFAfan#1 a few months ago?

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

^ If it gets people to come to the park to ride the "new" coaster, then I don't see how this is a problem. -
Coaster "Power Colors"?
Goliath513 replied to Worra315's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Personally, I like the green track and aqua-blue supports on B&Ms that Cedar Fair has used on Raptor and Hydra, especially Raptor. I also like the look red Intamins like Maverick and the new colors for SFDK's V2. For Vekoma, I really like the reverse aqua blue track and red supports that SFA's Mind Eraser had before they repainted it. Great look, terrible ride. -

New screen. Thunder Bay wave pool opened in 1989 as part of the water park expansion. -
Six Flags Las Vegas [RCT2]

It's good to see another good Six Flags RCT2 park lately. This park reminds me much of SFGAm. Inspiration, perhaps? -
Walygator Parc Discussion Thread
Goliath513 replied to thomas2's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ That was just one park with the soil issues. And look to Silverwood (Hi SFGAm fanboys! ) for an example about how a small park can purchase a ride, set it up quickly, and even operate it much better than at the previous location! -
Planned Trips This Summer
Goliath513 replied to Homeboy23's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My friend and I are going to SoCal over Memorial Day Weekend. First to SFMM for Terminator opening. I haven't been to the park since 2007 and there are a few other credits we still need too. We might go to Hurricane Harbor if we have enough time and money. Knott's for a day since my fiend hasn't been there before and wants the credits. Finally, we will be going to Wild Rivers in Irvine since there has been the threat of it closing for a while now and it looks fun. I will probably go to Waterworld here in Denver at least once. Maybe Elitch's and Lakeside once, but I really have no intention on going to either this year. When I'm out in California at my parents' house, I will probably go to SFDK a few times as well. -
Track Spottings!
Goliath513 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Looks like that red track is for the REAL Laser Snake Horse on Fire! And I still hold my bet on the yellow track being for Silverwood's rumored stand-up. -
^ Yes. If I go to Knott's next month on my southern California trip, I might take an hour and head over to Adventure City and see if I can get the credits.

^Nice! After a long period of inactivity during the winter, I am back to making electronic music using a software program called Reason 4.0. Today I began work on a 380bpm speedcore track. I have always wanted to do a speedcore track. So far all I have (from about 10 minutes of work) is a distorted bass drum that will dominate the track and a Hoover synth. Aside from constant noise, which most speedcore music sounds like to those who tend not to listen to electronic music, there will be an ambient breakdown section in the track with a few surprises.

Shane's Amusement Attic
Goliath513 replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It was removed after the 2006 season to make room for Wiggles World. They still have their other log flume - which I think is called Sawmill Log Flume. -
RCT2 - Dorney Park 2006 Recreation
Goliath513 replied to steel's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Jfleming - Here is a site that can help you find many park recreations from RCT2. Hope this helps. CLICK HERE [EDIT] ^ That's the same recreation I have! -
[RCT2] Six Flags Wyoming
Goliath513 replied to Goliath513's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
This will be a generic Six Flags park, but I will throw in a few jokes as always. Thanks! Yeah the crappy n00b Six Flags parks are spreading like herpes, so I decided to make this instead of another Cedar Fair park. I didn't think about Mind Bender or Shockwave since I have not ridden them. I based this off Revolution since I have ridden that. This is much more spread out and covers a larger area - much like Marineland's Dragon Mountain - which was my inspiration for this terrain coaster. Thanks, I'm fine. How is this like Geauga Lake? LOL. Advil sales are off the charts at the first aid station due to its prime location. New screen to come sometime soon. Depends when I have time to finish the next ride I'm working on. -
RCT2 - Dorney Park 2006 Recreation
Goliath513 replied to steel's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^^ Get over it. I have a recreation of Astroworld, but I don't know if I want to send it to you (or any other of the many park recreations I have) because you're being so whiny. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the mods have given you several warnings about this and you will be banned if you keep this up. You don't want that to happen, would you? -
While I was home visiting my parents during part of my spring break, I decided to use some of that free time to start up a new park. I was going to do a Colorado based Six Flags park, but since there was another one on TPR in the works not too long ago, I decided to cross the border into Laramie, Wyoming for the setting of this park. Founded in 1979 by a local farmer who, after a summer trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain, became inspired to add rides to his land. The park was purchased by Six Flags in 1982. Today only five of the park's original rides from that opening year remain. Thunder Mountain is the park's oldest roller coaster. The coaster extends along the mountainous terrain of the park and is the park's "largest" coaster. As of 2006, the ride uses the trains from the former Astroworld Viper. Many portions of the coaster never leave the ground, and the ride has a fairly large underground portion. Headhunter, a GCI built in 2004, is as close as you can go to a Terminator recreation without being an actual recreation. In fact, Terminator's design was inspired by Headhunter and the SFMM version is nothing more than a slightly modified clone. "Vekoma Alley" as known to fanboys, is home to the park's Vekoma headbangers and a conveniently placed first aid center. A generic SLC called Mind Eraser, and a boomerang relocated from Six Flags New Orleans in 2008 called Joker's Revenge. Canyon Blaster is a generic Zierer Tivoli clone like the ones found at SFDK, SFGAdv, SFNE, and others. Comments and criticism are welcome.

This new name is made of fail. Seriously, I haven't been so dumbfounded by a park's decision to rename something since Cedar Fair came up with Flight Deck. In fact, this is far worse, and I bet Dick Kinzel is glad to have the pressure off his parks from the criticisms of bad names, because Freestyle Music Park is the new rock bottom.

Woman commits suicide, lands on teen.
Goliath513 replied to TheHulk's topic in Random, Random, Random
As odd as the story may be, suicide is no laughing matter - especially when you have seen the first hand effects of it on the community. There was a suicide in my dorm just three nights ago by student. -
I prefer moaners over screamers myself. Screamers hurt my ears. I'm usually fairly quiet and just enjoy the ride. Unless it's something like a Vekoma or bad woodie, where in that case I sometimes let out something out like "Ow f*** this ride!!" in a sudden jolt of pain. Good thing those types of rides are normally so loud that I can't even hear myself.
