Sorry, I mislead you, I mean for the current newest section, Super Hero World. It's feeling slightly empty and I need to connect it to the front of the park. I'm thinking of making a flat ride themed to Wolverine. Any ideas would be helpful. -

Yes, Spiderman is an indoor launched Vekoma. It has a top speed of 45 mph and has 3 inversions. Think a more compact version of RNRC. Now, I need a good idea of what to build next, I need some good ideas for flat rides and restaurants for the new section. Remember, a prize is awarded to all who's ideas I use . -

Wow, I just keep getting closer to finishing this park. If i just focus on each of the major projects individually, I should have this done before April. Don't forget, I'm still doing the competition where if I use your idea, you get a cool prize! Oh, and just a warning, somehow my scenery got messed up. i'm missing several items in game and it also added a scenery group I didn't have at the beginning. This scenery group is from one of the expansions packs. This means a few of you will not be able to open my park. I'm sorry for this error, I hope you can still enjoy the pictures of my park. This error hopefully will not reoccur in other parks I make. Now time for the update. Very good progress has been made on the new superheroes area. It will officially be the largest section of the park once it is completed. New to the section is some nice landscaping, a couple of new shops, and a new coaster named, Spiderman: Doc Oc's Revenge. Well, time for the pictures. SCR37.BMP It's getting closer. SCR36.BMP Overview of Superhero World. SCR22.BMP Stop fighting boys, and don't you dare mess up that fresh paint! SCR21.BMP Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can... SCR35.BMP You will like him when he's hungry, because he sure can cook a good pizza! SCR34.BMP Tacky, yes, but at least I tried. It's supposed to be Superman's symbol and Captain America's shield. SCR24.BMP The new Comix Emporium. A comic store if you couldn't guess from the name. SCR23.BMP "Bring us, a shrubbery!" If you don't know what movie this quote is from, God rest your soul. Hint, Monty Python is in it's name and it's about the Holy Grail. -

^^They race in parts and duel in others, or at least they would if I could get the stacking issue figured out. I seriously wish there were a way to turn off using lift hills as blocks. It will probably be sorted out when it's open though and it will be running less frequently. -

Wow, yes I know, it's been a while. I don't want this park to end up like Rock Hill Amusement Park, this one, I will finish. After much deliberation, and many failed attempts to make anything good, the park has decided to cancel the plans to build a full scale amphitheater. Instead, they are now focusing on adding the next major section of the park, though it won't be accessible to the public for a good while, they promise it will be worth the wait. Since my last update, The Woods has now been completely finished with the addition of two new rides. Future plans for this area may include another eatery, but nothing confirmed as of yet. Also work has gotten far underway on the next section named, Super Hero World. It will be directly connected with the entrance area of the park. So far, the two major attractions for the section have been fully constructed. There is still a little landscaping to be done. It is called Super Alliance. It is two coasters combined for a dueling experience. It's Marvel vs. DC where you can choose to ride Superman, a B&M floorless, or Captain America, a B&M sitdown. The rides are the two most massive coasters in the park and are rumored to be the best. On to the pictures. SCR13.BMP Come back soon! SCR20.BMP Overview. SCR19.BMP Here's the stats for some fun. SCR18.BMP ... SCR17.BMP That's a lot of track. SCR16.BMP First part of the layout. SCR15.BMP Lifts. SCR14.BMP Super Alliance in all its need-a-new-name glory! Hinthint... SCR12.BMP Your favorite DC and Marvel characters welcome you to Super Hero World! SCR11.BMP Overveiw of the mostly finished The Woods. SCR9.BMP ... SCR8.BMP ... SCR7.BMP Now some pictures to show you the layout. There are two parts of it that are under ground. SCR6.BMP Here is the new logflume, also the first water ride at the park, The Mill. SCR10.BMP Here is the new Enterprise in the woods, named Buzzsaw. -

Um, I might be seeming a little slow right now but I don't get the theme. I'm thinking it is themed to Santa's Sleigh, but I'm not quite certain. It seems to dark and depressing to be Santa. Otherwise, looks good and I can't wait to download it and see it. -

Holy crap you are awesome for this. I'm actually a fan of the Saw series, and I'm sure you won't disappoint with this already beautiful work. Now i have something to look forward to in January. -
Carowinds Discussion Thread

For some reason CF remeasured the height of Afterburn and concluded it was 144 feet tall. Where they got this I don't know. Could be they measured from sea level, or they measured from the lowest point to highest point. In any case, I'm just glad I don't have to admit a Vekoma boomerang is the tallest coaster in the park. -
I'm just wondering if they are planning on doing launched woodies, what type of launch would it be? I'm thinking most likely magnetic, as a cable launch could put a little extra strain on the track creating a bad maintenance issue. Anyways I'm very interested in the idea. I've always wanted to experience a rollback on a woodie.

Mystery Mine...IN THE RAW!!!
Pufferfish replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thank you so much for doing this video. I found a pov of it once but it went too fast through the video to let you see all the theming and special effects. I really love this ride. There's not much airtime outside of the major drops, but there is still a lot. for the most part it basically rides like a wild mouse with airtime and inversions. It is definitely worth riding and I hope everyone would get a chance to ride it. -
Motion simulator discussion thread
Pufferfish replied to elkingda toroka's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I personally love motion simulators. Everything from those small morphis simulators you find in museums and fairs to the motion theaters. The best I will admit is definitely Mission Space as it is the only one I've been on that simulates realistic gs. After that, I enjoy the motion theaters. The movement of the chairs is incredibly smooth and it gives you a "floating" sensation. My personal favorite was back when our theater here at Carowinds had James Bond playing. The best motor cycle chase ever. I miss that film... Well, that's just my two cents. -
Theme Park Careers
Pufferfish replied to ETapley0687's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have this same idea too of one day owning and operating a theme park. I actually am planning to change my major this next semester to business management. Thanks for creating this thread, it's giving me even more inspiration that management is what I want to do. Winthrop University here in my home town actually has a good management program, so I guess i'm lucky there. -
I remember once I made a platform of a single path and put about 20 entertainers on it. I then deleted it and watched them al flail around and die. It was so funny. I also used to do it when I'd find a guest who was dissapointed in the park. I'd drop them in the water and then pick them back up over and over again. I also used to think it was hilarious how the cars blew up when they fly off a coaster.

Park opens all year around?
Pufferfish replied to pkd freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can't stand the off season. I love being able to watch everything being built for the new year in person. Also I hate having to be re hired every year. Actually we used to stay open later in the season when paramount still owned us, and we could still do it if cedar fair wanted to. It's fun to ride Afterburn in 30 degree weather. -
Theme Park Review's 2009 Trips Announced!
Pufferfish replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I am definitely thinking of doing the Deep South trip. Just a question, when exactly is the first $100 deposit due? I still have to talk things over a little with my parents to be sure that I can go. I will be 18 by the time of the trip. Also, I was just wondering, if you get free admission into one of the parks on the itinerary, will that be deducted from the price of the trip? -
Hello title fairy. I have been on the forum a long time now and was just wondering if I could perhaps get a custom member title now. Something exclaming my love of eurofighters would be fitting if at all possible. Something like "Eurofighters Rock!" or "Eurofighter enthusiast" would work. Thank you.

I too am interested in seeing the fight between Wes and Nat. Sorry Matt, you just have to go this time. It is either you or Nat and nat has 2 things on her side that keep her in. Go boobs! -
Just watched Saw 5 last night. I went to the midnight premier. It was cool, a couple of scaractors were there promoting Scarowinds, scaring people outside of the theatre, and a local news group was handing out free movie posters. Now, about the movie, IMO it was the best one since 2. It tied all of the previous movies together and answered how it was done. After all that, it still left the ability for more sequels completely open. It ends in the style of every Saw film before it. I give it a 4/5. Still the best horror franchise.

Glad you had a good time at the park. I agree with you that we have a lack of scaractors. We have an overall lack of employees in general. That's actually why we were only running one side on Thunder Road. We were understaffed and didn't have enough people to run both sides. I'm surprised you didn't really like Asylum, I think it's our best.
