^ We already had seat dividers on Thunder Road. The new ones are actually better than the old ones, they give more butt room. Also, Afterburn just got new blue restraints on the yellow train. The ride itself does need a new paint job though. The rails have gotten kinda rusty. Thank you for the comments everyone.

Hello, today was the Draft Day Party for the Carolina Panthers. I was not there for that, even though I think it might have been fun. Due to this reason, there was a fairly decent crowd at the park today. Most rides had over 15 minute waits with Cobra and Nighthawk topping one hour. The weather was a very clear day with a high temperature well into the 90s. This led to some very nice picture taking, but a very thirsty photographer. The main purpose for this TR is to show some pictures of a few rides that have not yet been added to the park index. I also have a couple pictures of the construction area for next year's addition. Well, onto the pictures. Beauty and the Boardwalk. Thanks for viewing! Comments welcome. Nice landscaping + Nighthawk's new paint job = very pretty picture. Starting with this picture i will now show you some of my best picture from the day that I am calling beauty shots. This one is Vekoma through a Vekoma. This photo was taken right outside of South Gate and shows the massive amount of parking lot fenced off. The fence stretches all the way from here to the ex logflume site. Goodbye log flume, I knewest thou well. Same with this one. Now just a couple of shots of the construction area. I don't know why really, but I like this picture. The yellow train is looking blue with it's new harnesses. Now we need to replace the ones on red. Even the sun knows how great Afterburn is by reflecting its light in a way to make the ride just glow. Now featuring these weird new seat separators on sliver side. Thunder Road. The beautiful PTC racing woodie that is with each passing year becoming more and more a GCI. Action Theater, currently showing Spongebob 3-D. I only got a picture of the sign because it was too dark inside to get a good picture of the ride units. That's the end of that segment, now back to your regularly scheduled programming. These are some pretty nice bumper cars. Full speed bumps on this are pretty forceful. Dodgems. It's actually a nice ride. Starting with Rocket Power Air time. This ride used to be called Gauntlet and had a better program. It's empty and waiting for you... Now for some of the rides that have yet to be included in the park index. Does this count as a geek shot? Going up. Screamweaver. One of the world's only enterprises manufactured by Intamin. Vortex... B&M goodness... And now for some pictures that I promised to a certain member who really likes enterprises. Vortex through the trees and the Arrow. Carolina Cyclone. The sun was at an awkward angle and created a very interesting effect. I like this picture, it looks pretty against the blue sky. Also, a warning, do not ride in the front car. The front car gives very bad whiplash. Everywhere else you can enjoy those massive Vekoma gs in smooth peace. We'll start with this "new" coaster, Carolina Cobra. I actually really like this ride. It actually looks like it belongs in the area and gives a very decent ride.

[RCT2] Excitement Point

The park still looks good, just a couple comments from me. One, those trains just really don't look good on B&M track. I really like the layout and colors, but the trains are a bit much. Also, Batman looks very unrealistic. The long upwards slope before the loop is just not an attribute on any B&M invert. I'd just use the large loop and just have long straight sections that you can use for some good close encounters with the ground. That's one more thing I don't really like about it, it lacks close encounters which always intensify an invert. I'd move the track down a few feet. Also the queue looks very large and empty. Give it some fences or shrubs. Also, the big empty spot in the center of the ride is a little bad, it could use some trees or landscaping. Otherwise good job and keep it up, you're getting much better. -

I would like to formally welcome you to Thrill Gardens! In this park, we are putting more focus into scenery and landscaping than in any other park in our chain. Right now we are just starting this, this is a very ambitious project, and that is why we have partnered together with Shadowrider Inc. Together, we promise to bring the best park in this chain yet, and it's name, is Thrill Gardens. Hello, on our first update there is a good bit to show you. There are currently 6 rides in our park including our first major coaster, The Thriller. There's not much else to say right now, so I now present the first photo update from Thrill Gardens! My most recent one that I can remember was a couple years ago. I got out of bed, walked into the living room, turned on the TV and sat down in the chair, and there I stayed for the rest of the night. One of the funnier ones I did was as a kid, I got out of bed and tryed to poop in the bathtub. I don't sleepwalk as much now as I used to, but I still act out my dreams in my sleep, and sometimes even feel my dreams. Like recently, I had a dream I was riding a B&M hyper, not saying which one though, and I even felt the positive gs and airtime.

It kinda looks like a smashed glass marble. Either that or maybe a very dry crystallized rotten egg, or maybe a broken dildo. Sorry, had to do it.

I would like to congratulate you on a job well done. You have done something that I can only dream, of doing, for now anyways. If you were to consider putting one in TN, I would definitely go visit. If ever I end up going to Utah, you can be guaranteed to see me. -
Is it a heart beat monitor, or maybe one of those monitors that check brainwaves? Maybe it's the pad thingys from a lie detector or whatever they're called. Sorry, I can't sleep and my brain doesn't work too well at 3:22 am.

Planned Trips This Summer
Pufferfish replied to Homeboy23's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
First off, my trip in May. It will be from the 11th-17th. 11th I will be at Disney's Hollywood Studios, 12th will start out the morning at EPCOT, then go to Animal kingdom at night, 13th will start out with SWO and finish with MK. The three days after that we will be on board the Disney cruise line! Later in the summer though, I have been planning a trip with members coasterguy99, coasterlvr_NC, and DarkStitch626 to do several parks from Ohio to Virginia. We would be doing it in August, just don't know the exact days yet. We would start at KI, then CP, then Kennywood, Hershey, and KD. -

Is it just me, or at the end, did it show 3 coasters? 4 if you count the racers as 2. It would be nice to find out what coasters these are. From the animation, the f1 coaster definitely looks Intamin. This park looks pretty nice, just wish they would have built it closer to me. -
How Often Do You Go To Your Local Park?
Pufferfish replied to sfmmrules!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For me, there is absolutely nothing to do here, so I usually end up going to Carowinds once a week. I normally don't keep track of how many times I go, but I always get bored and the first thing that comes to mind is, I'll go to Carowinds! -

^ Actually, the land marked off is extremely large, that's only a small part of what is marked off in that picture. A lot of the parking lot is marked off, stretching all the way to South Gate. -

Much better. The station building is well done, and the covering over the splash down really helps that part out, makes it fit in better. Also, I'm glad you decided to change the colors on the loop. It stuck out like a sore thumb when it was green with brown rails. Overall, nicely done wooden coaster. It fits in well with the rest of the park. -

I've never been a big fan of boomerangs on RCT2, but if you want to keep it, it's station and supports are very nicely done. Also, I was wondering if we could see some pictures of the woodie with the station building and the covering over the splash down. I was wanting to hold my opinion on it until I could actually see the final product. -

Okay, that is much better, and I even like the colors better. You did a very good job on the supports. Keep up the good work. -

^ I don't exactly get what you mean by that. Anyways, that GCI is massive, sorry to hear you lost it from your computer. Okay, here is your first glimpse at a brand new project from me, the other one has been put on hold for a while. This park is name Thrill Gardens. It's another park in the chain by Razor Thrills. This park is being made in conjunction with Shadowrider Inc. SCR19.BMP -

Well, the new supports on the Vekoma look better, but why a Kingda Ka knock off? you could have just done it as a new version of Moonraker. Oh well, it looks nice anyways. Maybe it could do to have a slightly taller tophat or a smaller hill afterwards. Great support work on it. Anyways, I'm excited to see what this new area will be themed to, since it's obviously no longer James Bond. -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
Pufferfish replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ok, people who haven't ridden Carolina Cobra cannot say anything about it in context with other boomerangs. I can clearly see why some people would believe it to be the best in the park. It's smooth, pulls a lot of gs, and even has airtime. Afterburn, while it may be a very highly rated coaster, has gotten a slight case of the shakes more recently, and if you don't know how to lean with the curves, you can hit your head pretty hard coming out of the corkscrew. I have seen many people who don't like Afterburn. Anyways, now that my little rant is over, today I got two classic ones. "Tell him that the back goes faster." "Does this ride go upside down?" The funny thing about the second one was the guy asked it after he was on the train and heading out the station and up the lift. -

Ok, my suggestion was kind of bad, the colors didn't work out like I had seen in my mind, sorry about that. The current more neutral color though is definitely the wiser choice. Moonraker looks kick a$$, though I would suspect a movie named after a bond film to be that way. It is a little unrealistic though, since S&S has not made a launched 4D coaster yet, but something tells me that thought has probably crossed their mind once or twice. I think it just needs a bit longer of a layout. It seems too mad cobra-ish to me. Anyways, keep up the good work! *edit* A good name for the new coaster, I'd try to tie it in with Moonraker, since they are almost side-by-side. Probably name it Jaws for the infamous steel toothed villain. As for a paint job, I'd leave it as is, just change the color of the trains to maybe black and grey. -

TPR PENS! (Yes, pens!)
Pufferfish replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love all the extras I've gotten in my orders. I got a pen when I ordered my hoodie over a year ago. It still works to this day, even with it being used daily on school work. Sadly, my last order didn't have any extras in it. I guess that's just because it was the second order I had placed in a month . Before that though, I got a lot of park maps and TPR buttermints! Those were very good, they didn't survive 2 minutes.
