  1. I agree about Prater being a rip-off... 3.5€ for a spinning wild mouse? (or was that 3...?) Please...
  2. Nice PTR! Can't wait for the Prater pics, hope you had fun... The rides there are seriously WAY to expensive, but some of them are extreme fun! Especially the Boomerang!
  3. Those are some awesome pics! Hmmm, looking at those, I noticed that that curve thingy between the Italian Loop and thecorkscrew is very weirdly banked... Almost like a Vekoma...
  4. @ katunandri: Great pictures! Thank you! ^ Awaiting pictures from you too, Matteo...
  5. Blue Tornado at night last October... http://rcdb.com/m/ig961.htm?picture=9
  6. Becouse donkeys don't like green... Why isn't time going backwards...?
  7. Those things are awesome! I did one at a waterpark nearby... Managed to stand up on my 3rd try! Well, for a really short time... The wait seemed very long, but i only wayited like 10 minutes...
  8. Is it just me, or are the cars spinning on the lift? Also, this looks quite insane... Way better than I thought it would be at first... The restraints look like a mix of Intamin Accelerator restraints and the new Vekoma restraints... Might be cool.
  9. From the coasters I've been on, it's definately sequoia adventure. (if it's counted as airtime...) It's utterly insane. If that doesn't count, than the only other coaster with airtime I've been on is Magic Mountain... It has pretty cool airtime down the first drop in the back seat, and nice air on the hump after the loops, just about anywhere you sit. I'm counting on iSpeed to be the best, tho... But the very best airtime I've ever had, is the one delivered by Discovery (A fireball flat ride), at prater! That was a state of pure bliss! PS: Forgot this: The airtime in the very last seat on Katun, when coming of the MCBR, was pretty awesome too!
  10. Some time ago some of my schoolmates were discussing rollercoasters, and they asked me which was the best coaster in the world. So, I told them that the current best woody is T-Express, and the best Steel is S:ROS. But than this guy, who thinks is SO awesome says: "As if, everyone knows Blue Tornado is the best coaster ever!" And I was like w/e and just turned away. There are just so many things that bother me about this: 1. All my classmates know I'm into rollercoasters. 2. That guy has only been to 2 parks, namely Mirbilandia and Gardaland. This means he's ridden Katun. Does anyone else see something worng with this picture? 3. Blue Tornado is a freaking SLC deathmachine! 4. He only claimed that, so he would het respect from my other classmates, for being on the best coaster in the world. I absolutely hate how many times I have to explain to them, that Blue Tornado is not the fastest, tallest or scariest coaster in the world, and that it doesn't go upside down 23 times, and that it runs on gravity. Also, once my other classmate claimed that he didn't ride Sequoia Adventure, becouse it had to make an E-stop and that the riders were stranded upside down for 1 hour... In other words, he chickened out, and wouldn't admit it.
  11. Ha, you should ride Praters boomerang, with the awesome trains, that only have lapbars! Than we'll see which is the best boomerang! Also, i'm really glad the new trains are working out this good! Especially since Gardaland's Magic Mountain got them for the 2009 season! can't wait to try them out!
  12. iSpeed's trackwork is now complete! Check out these pics: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=65030&id=57546379042 Thanks to Aaron McFly from parksmania.it
  13. Nah, it won't be open yet than... The opening is supposed to be in June, but as far as i know, they're a bit behind schedual...
  14. And you're surprised? lol blackberrys aren't really known for their camera features, are they? Anyway, this ride is looking ace! Can't wait to see it in action... Well, it's video at least...
  15. Dude, how'd ya make the tophat? Lol, I tryed and tryed with hSAK, but never really got it to work... Also, I love that you're basing it of ispeed, lol, that's been my obsession for the last month, but, yeah, due to the tophat problem, I never got far... The track looks nice, btw!
  16. Xpress: I'd keep the forces lower if i were you... +4.5 vertical; + 3.5 for wood -1.4 negative; -1 for wood +/- 1.2 or 1.3 (for steel), but only spikes. Those B&M inverts probably go this high in instances... But most of the times I'd keep them under 0.5... For wood, I'd go up to +/- 1.6 +2, -1.5 acc; (-1 for wood) Also, I don't think B&M hypers ever pull -1G, or even close for that matter. I think they're trying to keep the Gs over the hills at 0G, but becouse of the lenghth of the train they vary a bit. So, about -0.2 to -0.4 for me...
  17. It goes into red if it's lagging, happened to em to... Very nice ride! There were some bad points to it, but mostly good: Pros: -love the layout! -Very fast paced and forcefull -Pretty good shaping Cons: -Why does the loop feel like it was made of 3 elements? -A bit too forcefull (for a B&M invert; you have to keep in mind that teh feet are dangling below...) -didn't really feel the turnaround... IMO it could have been replaced with something. Also, the transition out of it is kinda abrupt, and there's a slight jerk in it... You need to teach me how to make a HSAK cobra roll sometime!
  18. Open the terrain with the NL terraformer. Than open the trackfile you want to have the terrain in. (You don't need an actual track for this, just open the NL editor, and save the file empty.) Now you just save the track, and voila, the terrain is in the trackfile!
  19. http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/u1545 ^My NLDC page... All my projects are there. These I'm especially proud of: A recreation of Magic Mountain: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p4409 A terrain intamin accelerator: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p4992 Classic wooden coaster (with tons of custom bracing): http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p4618 And my most recent creation, a GG coaster, inspired by Fireball: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p5487 also, there's the secret project I'm working on: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/p5008 Ought to be my best coaster yet.
  20. Looks awesome! I have to say, these zacspin rides look like one of the best ride designs ever: huge thrill in a very small space! Imagine what the ball coaster would be like! (the difference between a ball coaster and a zacspin is, that the ball coaster uses a LSM launch (maybe even lift) system...)
  21. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1051894531727&oid=52004493602 yup
  22. Well, since the Jet Rescue has a very similar supporting style, I'm guessing it's a new style...
