  1. I bought the Space Channel 5 soundtrack from eBay. Who can't get enough of "Up, down, up, down, shoot, shoot, shoot???"
  2. Before Mission: Space, Disney came out with cheap ride after cheap ride. The rides either were off the shelf stuff (like Primeval Whirl or Triceratop Spin) or suffered a lot of budget cuts that the ride wasn't fun anymore. Mission: Space was a breath of fresh air from Disney. It's the best ride they've put out in years. Now we'll see what happens when Everest opens.
  3. ^^Elissa spelled grammar wrong. I am cursed too because I have a degree in English. It is the best degree ever since I got it from the great University of Florida!
  4. So Miss E, I see on the calendar tomorrow is your birthday! Happy birthday! What are your plans? Are you having dinner? Riding a donkey? Going to Chippendale's? Seeing Robb do an exotic dance?
  5. I visit: IOA Central Westcoaster Coasterbuzz (well, just for the news...) Screamscape Jim Hill Media I visit the DIS every once in a while, but I never post. I can't anyway.
  6. Mine are: 1.) Islands of Adventure 2.) Cedar Point 3.) Silver Dollar City 4.) Dollywood 5.) Knoebel’s 6.) Kennywood 7.) Six Flags Over Texas 8.) Hersheypark 9.) Six Flags Great America 10.) Sea World Orlando
  7. The only time I get airtime on the Hulk is the drop after the break run. The Mummy has 2-3 good pops of airtime. My favorite is the airtime right after the launch. The Hulk isn't too rough. If you want cottonears, right Python at BGT!
  8. The discount in Orlando tickets are on multiday tickets. The more days you spend at a park, the less the per day cost is. The best deal in Orlando is the bonus pass from Universal. You get 5 consecutive days for $99. That works out to about $20 a day. Dang, Uncle Bernie's Amusement Park is like $16.95 for an armband! Another good deal is the 2nd day free Sea World offers. You can get a 2nd day free with any valid 1 day ticket. You have to use your 2nd day within 7 days of the first. Plus, they take your mugshot on the 2nd day paper ticket so they know it's you and not your Grandma Ethel.
  9. I don't know this for sure, but I don't think the kids live with Robb or Elissa. Robb either borrows or rents them out for the weekend.
  10. What's wrong with Gatorland? It's fine the way it is. In fact, I don't think much has changed about it since it opened. I think the Holy Land Experience needs a coaster like "The Passion of the Christ: The Ride" or "The Holy Roller."
  11. HKDL looks like Disneyland Lite to me. But hey, China seems to have a lot of corkscrew coasters. Wheee -- headbanging, here we come!
  12. ^I speak an obscure dialect of Chinese. I can't read it. I can speak pretty good English in case you need to visit English-speaking park. If I watch a Chinese movie in Cantonese, I can pick up words here and there and understand it.
  13. Robb and the Full Monty...I'm going to gouge my eyes out if I see that. Who is this "Bobb" anyway?
  14. The coolest name is Roller Coaster! It is what it's name is! Second coolest...Boomerang! Again, it's name is what it is!
  15. Hey, plain pasta! Your food budget must be like 50 cents a week! I bet the restaurant charged you $10 for the plate (bread sticks are expensive ).
  16. R&E's kids need to be named "Bobb" and "Alyssia." But hey...who said Robb can breed again? Look at the weirdness of the kids that he's got now!
  17. Based mostly on R&E's video and Japan TR, I was highly considering going to Japan to visit USJ and TDL. My mom wants me to go with her to China in October 2006. If I can get her to buy me the plane ticket, I think I can find some way to go to HKDL, USJ, and TDL. Then again, she wants to find me a Chinese bride!
  18. I think I'm the opposite of Elissa. If you put it in front of me, I'll probably eat it. Well, except for raw broccoli. I hate that stuff! You know, didn't Elissa eat McDonald's all throughout the Japan trip? It's surprising that she didn't end up like Morgan Spurlock!
  19. You have to find the non-networking FP machines to get more than 1 FP at a time. I know some other FP secrets, but I'll keep those to myself.
  20. Here's my list (subject to change): Top 10 Wood 1.) Ozark Wildcat, Celebration City 2.) Thunderhead, Dollywood 3.) Lightning Racer, Hersheypark 4.) Shivering Timbers, Michigan’s Adventure 5.) Dania Beach Hurricane, Boomers! 6.) Phoenix, Knoebel’s 7.) Jack Rabbit, Kennywood 8.) Thunderbolt, Kennywood 9.) Racer, Kennywood 10.) Blue Streak, Cedar Point Top 10 Steel 1.) The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Islands of Adventure 2.) Kumba, Busch Gardens Tampa 3.) Storm Runner, Hersheypark 4.) Top Thrill Dragster, Cedar Point 5.) Nitro, Six Flags Great Adventure 6.) Titan, Six Flags Over Texas 7.) Millennium Force, Cedar Point 8.) Dueling Dragons: Fire, Islands of Adventure 9.) Dueling Dragons: Ice, Islands of Adventure 10.) Kraken, Sea World Orlando BTW, Gemini is a steel coaster.
  21. If you're talking about the DL Resort, you have to find the off-network FP systems to get more than 1 FP at a time.
  22. My mom wants to take me to China in October 2006. She is threatening to find me a bride (!). I was thinking of going, not to find a bride, but perhaps to go to Hong Kong Disneyland. I looked at the HK DL website and it seems like DL Lite, but what other chance will I get to go there? So for those who have been to China, are there any good parks in the HK DL area to visit? I looked at the parks on rcdb.com and I see a lot of corkscrew and kiddie coasters. I wish I could sneak off to Japan, but that doesn't seem likely.
  23. I'm sensitive to spelling mistakes since I have a degree in English, although I make spelling mistakes too. I think if you spell a word wrong, Robb foams at the mouth and starts dancing around the room like a dinosaur, but don't quote me on that.
  24. Read what I wrote for another board... How I Learned to Love Roller Coasters and Stopped Worrying About the Beast by Barry Hom The TV news show "Inside Edition" reported that your chances of getting into a fatal roller coaster accident are 1 in 10 million. Yet, every time I thought about riding one, I thought that I would die. I used to avoid riding roller coasters. I chickened out on Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom. I avoided Busch Gardens Tampa for years. If I didn't ride the roller coasters, I didn’t think I could do much else at that theme park. I did ride Big Thunder Mountain at the Magic Kingdom and I was terrified. I swore to never do it again! That all changed when I visited Islands of Adventure in May 1999. I initially planned to avoid riding the roller coasters. My main draw to the park was one ride – The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. I passed by the Incredible Hulk Coaster many times thinking, "I'll save it for later." Finally, I decided to ride it. I almost ran away from the entrance, but I thought of what my mom said when I wouldn't eat lima beans -- "How do you know if you don't like it if you haven't tried it?" I never ate my lima beans and I still haven’t put them in my mouth, but I figured I'd ride the roller coaster once and if I didn't like it, I'd ride something else. There are plenty of other things to do at the park! I entered the queue and I felt my heart pounding, my skin crawling, and my breath becoming shorter. Finally, I entered the coaster and was strapped in. I felt more scared than any other time in my life. It was scarier than my first date! As the car rolled into the launch tube, I want to cry. Then guests seated in the back of the coaster started yelling, "Whoo!" I began to yell "Whoo!" too. Suddenly, my fear turned into excitement and I was launched out! I yelled "Whoo!" so much that my voice was harsh after the ride. I don't remember much of what the track looked like because I kept my eyes closed (especially during the upside-down parts), but I was having so much fun that I didn’t really care. At the end of the ride, I said, "What a rush!" At that moment, a roller coaster enthusiast was born! I had planned to ride the Hulk Coaster zero times, but I ended up riding it seven times. I finally conquered the Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain. I visited Busch Gardens Tampa a few months after visiting Islands of Adventure and enjoyed the coasters there. I’ve visited Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio – the roller coaster mecca – several times as well as many other roller coaster parks around the United States. I’ve joined the American Coaster Enthusiasts and the Florida Coaster Club. Even though I’ve ridden the tallest and fastest coaster in the world – Cedar Point’s Top Thrill Dragster – as my 100th coaster, I haven’t found a roller coaster that gave me a rush like my first ride on the Incredible Hulk Coaster, but I find joy in each and every one that I ride. Perhaps one day I will have the courage to eat lima beans
  25. Hey R&E, it seems like with riding coasters, editing videos, keeping this site up to date, and work, your hours are taken up. But do you have any other hobbies or anything else you like to do?
