  1. I have videos of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Halloween Horror Nights up on www.ioacentral.com When you get to the main page, click on "Columns" and go under my column "Barry's Backwater Bar Stool." Scroll down to the bottom ofmy columns for the videos. Enjoy!
  2. I think I was 15 in high school and rode Scorpion at BGT. I was so scared! 8)
  3. Now that's a neat idea! You can probably sell them on Cafe Express. How about a t-shirt design contest? Personally, we ought to put Robb's butt crack on it with a caption, "Theme Park Review...it's all that it's cracked up to be."
  4. No wait, the reverse POV is in Volume 7. The Hercules in Volume 4 is just offride video of Hercules. I'll have to look at the DVDs again when I have a chance.
  5. The one on Roller Coaster Adventures is a reverse POV, I believe. It's a video of two people sitting in the front seat and their reactions. You can also order it at www.horsecreekproductions.net
  6. I used to have an Atari 5200 a long time ago and it was a lot of fun. The joysticks had problems, though (or so I've heard). Does anyone have a N-Gage? Are the games any fun? I'll probably get one if I can find one dirt cheap on eBay (or when they're discontinued).
  7. Space Channel 5 is a pretty cool Dreamcast game, but you can now get it on the PS2. What about the other end? What are your worst games ever?
  8. I guess I can be one of the first unless someone in California already sent theirs! I think extending the deadline would be good. April 15? Taxes and videos are due the same day! BTW, who are the judges in the contest anyway?
  9. I'm sending my entries tomorrow! Do I get bonus points for being one of the first to submit?
  10. Wasn't there a SDC video in the 2001 video? I hope you can squeeze in Yakov Smirnoff in the video too.
  11. My vote goes for the Tiki Room: Under New Management. The show is so annoying that I have no desire to see it again.
  12. The Beverly is so bad that you want to share it's awfulness with others! But I do know a few people who actually like it. Yes, I hang around with weird people.
  13. I appreciate R&E doing the contest again this year. It was a lot of fun seeing a lot of talented people doing videos. I have a few in my arsenal to enter. Mine are devoid of nudity or swearing, so they'll be boring!
  14. My picks are: SFOT: The best run Six Flags park in the country. The employees are pretty friendly, the rides are run well, and the food was actually tasty! Even though the park was super busy during the Texas Spring break, I managed to have a lot of fun. SFGAm: A close second to SFOT. The rides are well run, although the food is pretty much Six Flags slop. SFAW gets an award for most improved park. I heard so many bad things about the park. When I visited, employees were actually saying hi and welcome to Six Flags! The pizza tasted like cardboard though.
  15. I last rode the Crazy Mouse at the Florida State Fair. The spinning on the mouse wasn't very intense and I encountered line jumpers on it!
  16. I used to have a ton of video game consoles. I had in my collection at one time or another: Atari 2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Intellivision NES Super Nintendo Genesis Turbograpfx-16 Game Boy Game Gear Neo Geo Pocket Game.com (who remembers this?) Dreamcast Playstation Sega Saturn PS2 Over time, I found out that I had so many games, but too little time to play them. So I took a lot of my collection and sold them on eBay. I still have a few games and systems I need to sell off. I was considering selling off my Dreamcast, but I'm not sure. I usually play my PS2, but my collection is filled with old school games: Activision Anthology, Midway Arcade Treasures 1&2, Intellivision Classics, etc. I have a powerful video game system that I use to play Warlords and Kaboom! I mainly use my PS2 to play DVDs these days. Barry "after the games are sold off, I'm selling my comic book and Playboy magazine collection" H.
  17. I went to USF to check out the last Ghostbusters shows. I also went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not in Orlando and the Florida State Fair in Tampa. Overall: USF on 2/19: The crowds weren't too bad. Mummy had a 75 minute wait that never decreased during the day. The single rider line at the end of the day was almost out the door! MIB's single rider line was a 20 minute wait at around 3 pm. The rest of the waits seemed about 15-30 minutes. Ripley's Believe It Or Not 2/19: This museum was actually pretty interesting. You could say in your best Jack Palance voice, "Believe it...or not!" BGT and Florida State Fair on 2/20: I went to BGT to check out the SheiKra construction. I also got a chance to experience the new parking lot. Boy, the traffic was so backed up that it took me about 15 minutes to get a parking space and I had free preferred parking due to my Platnium pass! The new entrance to the BGT parking lot is near Adventure Island. There's no separate entrance for Platnium pass. You entered through regular parking and followed the blue line to perferred parking. It was still in the same place, but you had to go through the tunnels under McKinley to get to it. BGT's crowds were pretty decent. I only rode Kumba and it seemed a little slower than I remembered. There were also some Six Flag-ish employee behavior there. One that stands out is a Kumba employee put her head down on the turnstile and looked so bored. Oh, SheiKra construction is proceeding. Workers were there binging and banging on a Sunday! The vertical loop and Immelman is up. The lift hill is up, but not the first drop. The Florida State Fair was packed! It took me 15 minutes to find a parking spot and then another 10 to buy an armband. The midways were just a sea of people. Lines were pretty long for nearly all the rides. I only got to ride 4: The Coaster with No Name (looks like a Zyklon), Crazy Mouse, Orbitor, and Pharaoh's Fury. In the Crazy Mouse line, there were line jumpers in the line. Other people complained about it. The young girls were so angry and every other word was profanity. I just ignored it and hoped they would go away, but they still complained about people complaining. I could have done a Robb and Elissa smackdown, but the other people told the ride op about the line jumpers, but nothing was done about them. The Florida State Fair had several midway operators there. I noticed about 6 signs of different operators. With the different operators, there were sometimes two of each ride. I saw two Ring of Fires (I had to sing Johnny Cash in honor of them). I wish I knew who brought the Crazy Mouse so I could note it in my track record, but I couldn't find a ride op. I saw one ride op pull the brake on the Coaster with No Name and smoke at the same time. Now that's talent!
  18. I've been thinking about Theme Park Review's video contest for a while and I was wondering if it was returning. I had fun picking out the videos to enter and had fun watching a lot of talented folks. Besides, I have some new videos in my arsenal to share.
  19. So R&E, how did you two get into video editing? How did it all begin?
  20. The German word for donkey is "esel," as per this website: http://www.ielanguages.com/suggest.html Barry "haven't you always wanted a don-KEY?" H.
  21. ^But you didn't see the ghetto Western show? You missed out! Barry "the ski show is worth a look" H.
  22. Lakemont and Delgrosso's are like 30-45 minutes from each other, so you can do both on the same day. I did them both on a Friday in August. Delgrosso's was pretty busy in the afternoon. I went at Lakemont after 5 pm and there were like 6 people there! Oh, sit in the front of the Skyliner at Lakemont. It's smooth in the back and unbearably rough in the back!
  23. So Mythos needs a new dish called "The Balsamic Donkey" for Robb? Barry "The Balsamic Donkey with a side order of Beverly!" H.
  24. Check out: www.disboards.com R&E used to post there, but I haven't seen them in a long time. Barry "I don't post there anymore either" H.
  25. Hey, you need somewhere to ask about donkeys, right? You can't do that on the DIS Boards! Barry "ask about Donkey Kong Country strategies and see how they answer!" H.
