^ I don't see how it would be that strange. All a National Treasure ride would be is a tweaked version of Indiana Jones. Especially seeing the most recent one this weekend, the movie would work very well as a temple excursion type ride, similar to the Indy temples. I could definitely see it working, especially if Disney wants to keep to their own licenses and not go out to Lucas.

What coaster is this?

Could it be Hurler early in its run? I know the car is a slightly different color, but I believe it has the same restraints. -
Hanna Barbera Land Concept Art
jackskellington101 replied to CdnbMatt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cool concepts! I wonder when they were made. Something tells me that the plans were probably sometime in the 60s. A Space Ghost ride (the flying ships) would have been awesome though. Even more, that boat ride which looks like was themed to Sealab 2020 is hysterical, seeing that Sealab was not a success until Adult Swim got a hold of it and turned it into Sealab 2021. -
Vivendi and Activision are having a 18.9 billion dollar merger, as announced today by both companies, creating a new industry giant in the world of video games. Their combined revenues this year is estimated at 3.8 billion dollars, 700 million more than their greatest competitor, Electronic Arts. This merger changes the landscape of the video game industry drastically by now creating two monster companies on the field. So, is a good thing for the industry as a whole, the beginning of the end for the little guy, or both?

TPR on FaceBook and HI5
jackskellington101 replied to JuanSe_Colombia's topic in Random, Random, Random
Well, it's not a page per say, it's a group. I know so because I'm apart of it and, well, I made it. I made it a while ago just as a way for TPR members on Facebook can show their colors. It's been up for about a year or so. It wasn't anything really significant, I just wanted to promote TPR on Facebook. If you search Theme Park Review in Facebook, it's the only thing that comes up. -
One of the worst publicity photos ever and it even stars Jessica Alba. It's for the remake of the remake of The Eye, but all I can think of in seeing this picture is "MY SOUFFLÉ HAS FALLEN! AHHHHHH!"

I'd seen it at a local toy store back home and last year, around the Holiday season, they were selling the test tubes and smaller containers of the stuff at the Everest store. The Cast Members were making "snowstorms" at the shop exit as people were leaving. The cost isn't too bad either. The 100 gram container, which make 2 gallons of "snow", is around 10 bucks and the stuff is reusable. I'm just sure it's a pain in the butt to clean up!

I think I'm under the impression that the 4D coasters don't age with time as much as they just spoil. It's a shame that coasters considered real destination coasters reside in such a craptastic park and don't live up to the hype. Now I ask, which is a worse ride: Eejanaika or Manhattan Express Roller Coaster Death Machine at New York New York? KidTums' face says it all. Adorable picture by the way.

The Official Nintendo Wii Discussion Thread
jackskellington101 replied to MiamiBoii4392's topic in Random, Random, Random
Wi-fi is built in, just set up and go. There's only a few instances in which you can connect your DS to the Wii. The only one that comes to mind is Pokemon Battle Revolution. Well, go to Virtual Console and download Super Mario Bros. I'd personally jump for Super Mario Bros. 3, but that's just me. If you want a feel of that classic feeling, I'd also suggest Super Paper Mario. It's a fun little twist on the formula. Super Mario Galaxy is a good start though, so you made a great buy there. If you're a Halo guy, I'd also suggest Metroid Prime 3 to see the Wii twist on a first person shooter. I would suggest another nunchuck to go with the remote coming with Wii Play. If you don't have a GameCube, or any Gamecube controllers lying around, I would suggest trying to find a Gamecube Wavebird because they're better than the Wii Classic Controllers. Hope that's helpful! Stuart -

It's sad to see an icon like Evel Knievel go. That being said, and I know it's an awful thought, I just picture his hearse attempting to jump Snake River Canyon through a ring of fire. -
WrestleMania crowds at Orlando?
jackskellington101 replied to spacemtfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Seeing people have the second part down, I'll give you the first. I would expect a definite increase in numbers during that week. The citrus bowl seats around 70,000 people, and it looks like the WWE is capping the number of tickets to around 60,000. I doubt it’s going to stay that way, though demand does seem to be slow this year. As of right now, an estimated 46,000 tickets have been sold, with 41,000 being sold in the first 30 min. I'm sure it's going to be a boost everywhere in the Orlando area, but the biggest boost will be the direct relationship marketing targeted towards Universal Orlando. The WWE, in the US, shows its programming primarily on the NBC cable channels (USA and Sci-Fi). Therefore, in direct connection, Universal Orlando has set up a Wrestlemania vacation package, complete with tickets to the park and tickets to the event. With that, I have a feeling Universal might be getting a noticeable boost during that time frame. My guess, though it may be wrong, is that the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will probably take place at Hard Rock Live, seeing that's a big auditorium on an NBC Universal owned property. On the second note, you might have a good chance of seeing some of the talent throughout the park during that time. The only one on semi-current roster that has expressed major interest in the parks has been the aforementioned Mick Foley. I would not be surprised if he himself is found at Disney, as he has noted in the past that he is a major Disney fan, specifically in Winnie the Pooh. The only one at Disney I've seen personally, it was during the CP though I didn't attend to him personally, was Scott "Scotty 2 Hotty" Garland, but he's no longer on the roster. The WWE and Disney also have a very strong relationship with each other through the Make-A-Wish foundation, so I would not be surprised if a Make-A-Wish event featuring both companies happens during that time as well. -
Ok, flipping through channels today, TBS blew me out of my socks. What are they showing right now, November 10th? Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It seems this particular year, we've decided to hop right over Thanksgiving right to Christmas. Any one else feeling this too? I like like holidays as much as the next person, but this feels far too early. Stuart "Though it's nice to hear Thurl Ravenscroft's voice coming out of my TV speakers" Newsom
