This right here is the PERFECT expectations to set going in.

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for. Sounds like you will be annoyed if it's rainy and annoyed if it's warm. End of the day, be prepared for rain. It rains something like 300 days out of the year (not all in the same area) in Japan. If you're going to Disney or Universal parks, they keep most if not all of their attractions open in the rain. It's hit & miss at most other parks, and at Fuji-Q if it drizzles they will shut down most rides. Being in Japan in the rain is still better than being at work.

I'm not sure what you mean. I mean like a TPR day at an event. Do you ever go on a specific day? We don't really do TPR days at these events, sorry.

Whether you're soaring through Metropolis on our SUPERMAN Virtual Reality Coasters or co-piloting a fighter jet on The New Revolution, this remarkable technology is a definite game-changer. The headsets allow guests 13 and older to enter a virtual world with high-resolution imagery and 360-degree views that synchronize to the action of the coaster in a totally new, one-of-a-kind experience. Six Flags and Samsung Partner to Launch First Virtual Reality Roller Coasters in North America Samsung is “Official Technology Partner” at Six Flags Theme Parks Nationwide GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas, and New York City — March 3, 2016 — Six Flags Entertainment Corporation (NYSE:SIX), and Samsung Electronics America, Inc., today announced a broad marketing partnership which appoints Samsung as the “Official Technology Partner” of the world’s largest regional theme park company. The partnership includes the debut of ground-breaking experiences coming to nine Six Flags parks—North America’s first Virtual Reality (VR) Roller Coasters, using Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus. In partnership with Samsung, Six Flags is taking its signature brand of thrills to the next level and beyond in fully immersive, virtual riding experiences using Samsung Gear VR. Some of Six Flags’ most popular coasters will be equipped to allow riders wearing Samsung Gear VR headsets to feel the heart-pumping adrenaline of steep drops, inverted loops and powerful twists and turns as gyros, accelerometers and proximity sensors synchronize all of the action in an incredibly realistic 360-degree virtual reality world. “This remarkable technology is a definite game-changer for theme park rides and represents everything our brand stands for—delivering the most thrilling and innovative rides and attractions in the world,” said John Duffey, Six Flags President and CEO. “With the addition of these virtual reality coasters, Six Flags will be introducing more than double the number of new coasters and rides than we did in 2015, and more than any year in the last decade. Innovation is part of our DNA, and news in every park every year is driving higher guest satisfaction and building strong momentum for our company." “What makes this partnership so compelling for consumers and the broader tech industry alike is that both companies are committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible - and bringing a VR coaster to life is certainly a new and thrilling proposition,” said Marc Mathieu, chief marketing officer at Samsung Electronics America. “Now, people can be immersed into a totally new universe while riding a roller coaster, powered by Samsung Gear VR virtual reality devices. This transforms the modern roller coaster into a totally new, one of a kind sensorial experience - powered by technology. We are excited to work with the premier brand in theme parks to bring Samsung’s VR technology to nine Six Flags locations across the U.S.” Samsung Gear VR – designed to accelerate virtual reality into the mainstream – provides an untethered, fully-immersive experience with 360-degree content for an extremely high quality mobile VR experience. Built to work with Samsung’s Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ and Note5, the Gear VR headset utilizes each device’s super AMOLED display to provide the color, clarity and performance needed for an amazing virtual reality experience. About the VR Roller Coaster Experiences Six Flags and Samsung will launch the new VR Roller Coasters beginning this month and into the summer, totaling nine coasters across the U.S. On the six New Revolution Virtual Reality Coasters, riders are transported to a futuristic battle to save planet earth from an alien invasion. Riders are the co-pilots in their own fighter jets as they strap in for air-to-air combat. Taking in the view around them, riders will see other aircraft in an underground secret bunker. As the aircraft moves to a landing pad, it begins to launch its thruster engines, lifting the craft straight up through the roof. During the ascent, riders can test fire their weapons using the world’s first-ever interactive gameplay technology on a roller coaster. As riders clear the roof, they realize they are on top of a skyscraper and about to launch off the edge of the building diving straight down on the first drop of the ride. The aircraft races through the city until reaching the edge of the skyline where riders see the mother ship hovering above. The mother ship is heavily protected by drones and the mission is to get past the drones, fire on the mother ship and destroy it. This elite fighter squadron experience will make its debut on the following six roller coasters: Shock Wave at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, opening March 10 to Season Pass Holders as a special sneak preview; Dare Devil Dive at Six Flags Over Georgia outside of Atlanta, opening March 12 to Season Pass Holders as a special sneak preview; The New Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain near Los Angeles, opening March 26 to Season Pass Holders as a special sneak preview; Ninja at Six Flags St. Louis in Eureka; Steamin’ Demon at The Great Escape in Lake George, New York and Goliath at La Ronde in Montreal. On Six Flags’ three new SUPERMAN Virtual Reality Coasters, once riders take their seats and fasten the headsets, they will be fully immersed in the 360-degree comic-book world of Metropolis. Guests will be taken on a leisurely (or so they think) tour of the city of Metropolis, courtesy of Lex Corp Sky Tours. Just after departing the station riders encounter Lex Luthor who uses an anti-gravity gun along with his army of Lex Bots to create chaos throughout the city with cars, taxis and buses floating in mid-air around the rider’s vehicle. As the Lexbots continue shooting at the vehicle, SUPERMAN uses heat vison to destroy the anti-gravity gun, causing all objects to suddenly fall, including the train as it takes the first giant drop of the roller coaster. Riders then soar alongside SUPERMAN as he battles the evil Lexbots through hairpin twists and turns, loops, dips and dives before ultimately defeating Lex and the Lexbots, and returning safely back into the station. This amazing adventure will debut on these Superman-branded coasters: SUPERMAN Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio; SUPERMAN The Ride at Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts; and SUPERMAN Ride of Steel at Six Flags America in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Yesterday we were invited to take part in a media preview of the 2016 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2016. The event opens on March 2nd and runs for 90 days this year, the longest the event has ever been! Along with some new garden displays and playgrounds, they are also expanding the food offerings, which began four years ago, to 13 different "outdoor kitchens" around World Showcase. Much like the Food & Wine event, you can find food booths set up around Epcot where you can sample different offerings featuring more "organic" menu items that showcase some of the Flower & Garden themes. We got to sample quite a bit of it yesterday and there are some outstanding food & beverage options! Have a look at the photos & video below and we hope to see you at the event this spring! Here we are at the Flower & Garden Media Preview! Chip N Dale fans should be very happy with this exhibit! We started off the event with a fantastic tour of several of the garden displays by WDW Horticulture Manager, Eric Darden. Of course Mickey Mouse would have a very prominent display! Here's a closer look at him to check out some of the detail. The area surrounding the water front just looks fantastic. I sort of wish Epcot could look like this all year long, but at least this year we've got it for 90 days! Yes! We timed it perfectly to get a monorail in the shot! Scattered around the park are loads of the topiary displays. Here's Chip N' Dale right at the entrance to the event! Turns out, they've stolen Mickey's sandwich! Minnie & Pluto are also here hanging out... Here's a closer look at Pluto... Since the event was not quite open yet, we got a sneak peek inside some of the areas still under construction. Noted! This is always a very popular playground and I'm sure it will be again this year! Only a few more days and it will be OPEN! More of the character topiaries that have been set up in preparation of the event. Hello, Tigger! And where there is Tigger, there is always some Pooh! We were invited into a "Tables in Wonderland" event where we got to sample some of the Flower & Garden "Outdoor Kitchen" offerings. But first, some of the event merchandise... Cute hat! I'm sure this Chip N Dale item will be in our house sometime very soon! Macaroons? Yes, please! Oooh...do I see Ricotta and Balsamic in the same sentence? Yes, I do! The ricotta was amazing! It just melted in your mouth! The beef brisket hash was one of my favorites! Adding Jalapeños? Now you're speaking my language! And of course there are beer & wine offerings this year as well. Anything from Cigar City is something I'm sure I'll be a fan of! The executive chefs are not afraid to "spice things up" at these Epcot events! The jerk chicken was fantastic! Beef teriyaki with udon noodles?!?!? This just keeps getting better and better! Delicious! Wait...what is that I see?!?!? MAPLE. BACON. STOUT! The only three words you need to come away from remembering (if you can) from this event! For the live music fans, here's the band line-up this year. Starship! YESSSSSSS!!!! Wait...Currywurst???? Yup! And it was also fantastic! Next up was a plat potting activity. That's right...I'm getting down and dirty.... "I'd like a purple plant in a pink pot..." "I totally birthed a plant here at Epcot!" Little guy even has my eyes! Going to go check out some more topiaries and gardens... Peter Pan high above London! Tick Tock Captain Hook! Belle & Beast are back this year... ..as are the Lady and the Tramp. Snow White has her entourage. All seven of these little guys are here... The ultimate Snow White fanboys! There are even some miniature topiaries set up in the model train in Germany! Simba is back... Here is the Chinese Dragon! Anna & Elsa are in Norway this year where they belong. Here's a closer look at the girls! Elsa's icy powers are a little green during the spring! But seriously, this is absolutely the prettiest that Epcot looks all year long! You've got 90 days starting March 2nd to check it out! What are you waiting for? Photos by Robb Alvey & Hanno Roos -
Last night we had the chance to see the touring production of Kinky Boots at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center in Orlando. For those of you who don't know much about the show, I will tell you first of all, there are a lot of dudes wearing women's clothing...and they look FABULOUS! Getting that out of the way, the show is just fantastic with some high-energy amazing music by Cyndi Lauper (You should know who she is) and a wonderful and touching story by Harvey Fierstein (he also wrote the book for Newsies.) Kinky Boots won the 2013 "Best Musical" Tony Award and you can see why. It's hilariously funny while at the same time being emotional and sends a great message. Yes, it's based on the movie of the same name, but the musical version is just so much more touching and endearing in every way possible. There are moments that are incredibly tear-jerking then later gets you laughing hysterically then before you know it, you are up dancing in your seat! And if there is any message to be learned from Kinky Boots it's simply to accept others for who they are, and be who you want to be, not what others say you ought to be. I recently saw the show on Broadway with Wayne Brady as the lead playing Lola, and the touring cast was also just incredible to watch. Some seriously fantastic acting, singing, and dancing skills in front of you. The sets are fantastic, and the whole show just leaves you feeling AWESOME when you exit the theater! Kinky Boots is part of the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Broadway series which you can find more info about here: http://www.drphillipscenter.org/ And if you're interested in seeing Kinky Boots while on tour, here's more info about their schedule: http://kinkybootsthemusical.com/ We HIGHLY recommend this show! From the official website: "Inspired by true events, KINKY BOOTS tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits his father's shoe factory. Looking to save the family business, Charlie turns to a fabulously fashionable new friend — cabaret star Lola — who gives him an outrageous idea that could change both of their destinies. Soon, this unlikely duo creates the most sensational footwear that’s ever rocked the runways of Milan, giving the factory and its hardworking family a sparkling new future. An exuberant story about finding friendship, inspiration and passion where you least expect..." This wasn't my first time seeing this show, and it won't be the last! Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center is just beautiful! So happy to have this new venue in Orlando! It's nice to see the entire complex pays homage to much of Orlando's history. Just beautiful! Tonight we are going to get KINKY!!! Not gonna lie - I kinda want those socks! lol The cast just KILLED IT tonight! Such an amazing show filled with all kinds of emotion and high-energy excitement! Here's a few stock photos from the Broadway version of the show:

It made me immediately not want to read the article because it's focusing on the super nerds, not the ones who just want to have fun. I'm sure ACE would go bananas over this article, though. THIS!
