  1. Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces Record 20th Coaster WONDER WOMAN Flight of Courage The Tallest and Longest Single-Rail Coaster on the Planet Will Debut at The Thrill Capital of the World Summer 2022! VALENCIA, California — October 21, 2021 — Six Flags Magic Mountain, the undisputed “Thrill Capital of the World,” in partnership with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and DC, today unveiled plans to add yet another record-breaking coaster—WONDER WOMAN™ Flight of Courage—to its unparalleled thrill ride lineup. Six Flags Magic Mountain’s record 20th roller coaster—the most at any theme park in the world—will debut as the tallest and longest single-rail coaster on the planet where riders will fly over 3,300 feet of track, towering 13 stories and soaring at speeds up to 58 miles-per-hour. The new coaster will be located in the six-acre DC UNIVERSE™ area of the park, which will be expanded and entirely remodeled to include a new, innovative restaurant and bar experience, plus retail locations featuring exclusive DC branded merchandise. “This is an historic milestone for our park as we introduce the latest addition to our unrivaled coaster dynasty, WONDER WOMAN Flight of Courage. Not only is this a record-breaking single-rail coaster, it brings Six Flags Magic Mountain’s coaster count to an unprecedented twenty, the most in the world,” said Park President Don McCoy. “Our partnership with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment makes this accomplishment even more exciting, as we integrate the legacy of an iconic DC Super Hero into the theming of the ride. Additionally, we are creating a more innovative guest experience by redesigning one of our most popular areas, DC UNIVERSE, which will become the home of WONDER WOMAN Flight of Courage,” added McCoy. WONDER WOMAN Flight of Courage exemplifies the Super Hero’s traits of strength and speed—showcasing the legacy of Wonder Woman herself. As guests enter the ride queue, influenced by Greek architecture and featuring tropical landscaping, they will be immersed in the story of her life and how she obtained her super powers. Riders will join forces with Wonder Woman in the fight for truth, justice, and equality, to embark on an incredible journey of heroic feats, propelling through dives, banks, rolls, and turns designed to challenge the bravest of thrill seekers. Key features of WONDER WOMAN Flight of Courage include: Themed entrance portal and queue inspired by the hidden island of Themyscira; Four sleek trains of 12 passengers each sitting one rider per row along the monorail track; 3,300 feet of single-rail, I-beam track; Tension-building ascent up a towering, 131-foot lift hill; Reaching speeds up to 58 mph; Intense elements including a steep, 87-degree first drop and overbanked cutback; and Three dramatic inversions including a 180-degree stall, raven dive, and zero-gravity roll. The newly-themed DC UNIVERSE™ area also includes the popular BATMAN™ The Ride and several other DC themed rides. 2. You are forgetting you’re not competing against people who have “free fast passes” and only the people who have bought this service. That being said, I have used Max Pass at Disneyland several times and have always been able to make at least 5-6 reservations a day, even when walking into the park at 5pm. I don’t think what you are describing will be an issue.
  3. Disney's Genie Service is launching at Walt Disney World on Oct 19th, 2021! For full details, check out the post from the Disney Parks Blog: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/10/disney-genie-launching-at-walt-disney-world-resort/ Here is the info that I feel people are going to be the most interested in... the replacement for FastPass+ "Disney Genie uses our 50+ years of knowledge and expertise in how guests visit our parks to make the experience better for everyone. With this launch, we’ll also be introducing the Lightning Lane entrance. Available for purchase through our Disney Genie+ add-on at more than 40 attractions – or individually, “à la carte” at some of our most highly demanded attractions – the Lightning Lane entrance can save you time waiting in line." Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane Selections "When you take your day to the next level by purchasing Disney Genie+ service, you can select arrival windows for Lightning Lane entrances that are available at more than 40 attractions and entertainment across all 4 theme parks, one at a time throughout the day. Disney Genie+ service will be available for $15 per Guest per day. Once you have Disney Genie+ service, you can book the next available arrival window for your first experience via the My Disney Experience app beginning at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit. Once you’ve redeemed your initial selection (or the arrival window has passed), you can make another selection using the app, up to park closing." Individual Lightning Lane Selections For some of our most highly demanded attractions will offer Lightning Lane entry as an "á la carte" purchase. This option will be available for all Guests—with or without Disney Genie+ service—and lets you choose a time to arrive at up to 2 attractions each day (booked one at a time). Prices will vary by date, attraction and park. For example, the Lightning Lane entrance to Remy's Ratatouille Adventure will be $9 per person on October 19 and $11 per person on October 23. As another example, on both those dates, Lightning Lane entrance to Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will be $7 per person, while Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be $15 per person. Throughout the year, prices may be lower on some days and higher on other days. This option may be purchased at up to 2 different attractions each day. Purchase via Disney Genie service in the My Disney Experience mobile app on the same day of your visit. Individual selections will be available to buy via our complimentary Disney Genie service in the My Disney Experience app on the same day of your visit. Here are some of the other features of the Disney Genie Service and you can get more info by reading the update from the Disney Parks Blog:
  4. I'm just going to say this once. You really need to clam your attitude down or you won't be a member of our forum for much longer. Have I made myself clear?
  5. Here’s the clip that WESH 2 News in Orlando ran about the new Walt Disney World passes featuring Theme Park Review! https://www.facebook.com/themeparkreview/videos/144799674482567
  6. Not gonna lie, I’m a little bummed that it’s going to cost us an additional $1,000 per year for the two of us to keep the same AP perks we already have, so we will most likely downgrade our passes then add on the PhotoPass option. Will we still go and support the parks? Yes, of course. But we will have to make different choices now.
  7. Bumping this topic as we've had a few people ask about it again recently...
  8. More tweaks were made last night. Notice anything better or worse?
  9. I have posted a follow up question: https://themeparkreview.com/forum/topic/47337-follow-up-question-is-the-forum-running-any-faster/
  10. Follow up question from yesterday... Is the forum running any better now? Do you notice any difference from today versus before today?
  11. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Going to work with our server company to see if we can figure it out.
  12. I'm finding it could take anywhere between 10 - 15 seconds sometimes to load a forum page or topic. Is anyone else experience this slowdown on the forum lately? Thank you.
  13. We've been posting all week on our Instagram and Facebook "stories" from our current So Cal trip but since I know not all of you have accounts on those platforms, I'll re-post that update here as well. This was our first day at Disneyland Resort and "Avengers Campus." Needless to say... we loved it! Read on... 14. We had an absolutely AMAZING first day at Disneyland Resort spending most of our day in Avengers Campus! I put together a report on Instagram Stories. Let me know if you can or cannot get this link to work for you: https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/17877795437397215/
  15. I was able to update everyone's "seniority" again, but for now the regular "Donkey Title" ranks will be gone. Maybe it's time to retire them?
  16. So we had to do a required update to the forum the other day which seemed to break our ranking system. I've been looking into it, but it's been a bit of a busy summer for us and I probably won't be able to fix it until we get back from our California trip mid-August.
  17. New Video! Riding in the back seat of Leap the Dips at Lakemont Park!
  18. It's that time of year again.... well, actually it's an EARLIER "that time of year again!" That's right... Epcot's Food & Wine Festival has officially begun NOW... in July!!! This is the earliest the event has ever started and it will run until November 20th, 2021. I don't think I need to explain what the event is as it's been going on for well over 20 years now, but in case you have been living under a rock, in a cave, or simply just don't visit Disney parks because you're a die-hard roller coaster nerd and Epcot doesn't have any roller coasters (yet), it's a event where there is lots of food... lots of wine... and lots of beer! Today we are going to focus on some food... Yep! Today's the starting day for Epcot's Food & Wine Festival! The earliest it is ever started in the history of the planet! We are looking forward to Chicken Potstickers, Pork Sliders, and trying out a few new items! Our first stop was something NEW! Soy glazed ribs were most certainly a WIN! However Elissa looks a bit worried trying the Chicken Potstickers this year.... So it finally happened... After 20 years of having the same "tried and true" Potstickers at the China booth, the have now changed the sauce. Elissa says "it wasn't BAD, it just wasn't a change for the better, and the new sauce has a lot less flavor that the old one." To soften that blow, we made a stop at a new year-round location in italy! You can now get the Zeppole's that have been served at Via Napoli for years at this quick service restaurant, and they are AMAZING!!! It certainly was busy for the first day of Food & Wine! But I can't not get the Hawaiian Pork Slider! Still one of my favorite items! We love that the American Adventure Rotunda is now being used as not only a new food location, but also an indoor air conditioned eating area! This is IMPORTANT when the event now starts in July! Giving the Falafel Pita a try in Morocco... And interesting to see this come back to Canada... Last year with COVID, the Circlevision movie was transformed into a food booth & eating area because it was an "indoor attraction" that couldn't be used, but this year they've decided to close the attraction from July - November to bring back this food booth! However we opted for the fillet from the outdoor Canada booth! And YES! It's another "Fish Free Year" in Canada (thank you) and they bought back two of our favorites! The fillet and the Cheddar Cheese Soup! Trying out some of the wings at the new "Wings & Beer" place that is located inside the Odyssey Restaurant. As always, it's great running into TPR Friends while visiting the parks! And guess what? Single Rider Lines are BACK! So a ride on Test Track it is! We only ended up waiting about five minutes in the Single Rider Line! And I loved that I was able to use my "custom car" again, too! Yay! Was great ending our first visit to Food & Wine on still the FASTEST RIDE at any Disney park! Thanks for reading everyone!
  19. Even after 16 years, Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure proves it’s one of the most intense roller coasters in the world! Watch this ride nearly blow my face off!!! VIDEO:
