  1. This just in... All New “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” Show Brings Joyful Celebration to Walt Disney World Resort LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Joining the lineup of unparalleled Walt Disney World Resort entertainment, “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” will immerse guests in a royal musical celebration set to debut this summer on the Cinderella Castle stage at Magic Kingdom Park. Mickey Mouse and his pals unite in a tale of friendship featuring songs and characters from Disney’s contemporary classics “Princess and the Frog,” “Tangled” and “Frozen.” From the land of the bewitching bayous, Goofy has invited Princess Tiana, Naveen and Louis to add a little spice of New Orleans jazz to the party. Donald Duck brings some new friends he met in the land of the enchanted woods, where Daisy Duck introduces us to her special guests, Rapunzel and Flynn. Finally, Mickey Mouse shares a surprise with Minnie Mouse, as he has traveled to the land of the mystic mountains to invite Olaf, Princess Anna, and Queen Elsa, who swirls a blast of her icy magic. The celebration culminates in a grand dance, marked by a magical fireworks finale. “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” will be presented multiple times daily.
  2. Today was the unveiling of the sexy new Mako train at SeaWorld Orlando! The train looks amazing! The ride itself is really coming along and they have to be pretty close to track complete at this point. I'm gonna let the pictures do the talking because the train looks gorgeous! Check it out... Yay! We are here to see some sharks! And here we are! But today's not about the shark encounter exhibit.... It's about whatever is in this box...And we are about to show you! Wheee! The box goes up and looky what's inside... A super-sexy shark train! Mako's new train looks.... AWESOME!!!! Soon you'll be able to plop your butts into those comfy B&M seats! And your view won't be concrete, it will be 73MPH of juicy steel B&M track! Shark week fans! Sharknado fans! This train speaks to you! Just what you've all been waiting for! The most amazing sight in the world!!!! It's the BACKSIDE of Mako! Hello seats... And just in case you forgot what park Mako is going to... "Grrrr! I'm Mako! Come any closer and I'm gonna BITE you!" Here's a look at the progress of the actual ride... Hello Mr. Overbanked turn that could be an inversion to some people, but not quite to me... You will one day be a station...or a big box...one of the two. "Where does this lift go?" "It goes up!" And here is the other side of that lift so you can view these pictures in stereo. Betcha didn't know this was gonna be a big box construction tour, did you? And here is what the ride jumps the shark...or something like that! lol Thanks SeaWorld for having us out to check out your new hotness! See you soon, Mr. Mako!
  3. Gotta love the classic woodies...
  4. Yup, it's true. Wizarding World soft opened today. Here's a few pics from the park and Forbidden Jouney.
  5. You know...I never even bothered to ride it! lol That's how little interest I had in it...
  6. TPR was on a construction tour today! Joey will update you with lots of pics soon! But for now, here's this one....
  7. I will forever now judge just how far in the middle of nowhere someplace is by clocking the amount of time in which cows are passed. Now, does this count if you are in traffic? Or if it's a slower road of 45MPH vs. 65MPH? There are factors here that need to be determined. It's IMPORTANT!
  8. And I'm sure you will again! Read into what I posted above...
  9. Here is the email that is going around. While it's true that "Coasting For Kids" isn't happening this year, that doesn't mean there might not be another GKTW driven charity event at parks. Like the email says "Stay Tuned." So I just want to squash any rumors that C4K is totally "dead" but it may come back under another format. For those of you who don't know, Cedar Fair is now working with another charity so that means some changes for the event with Give Kids The World. Anyway, stay tuned...
  10. You asked for our opinion and we gave it to you. Now it seems you don't like our opinion, so now you're questioning us and asking other people? In our "Ask Alvey" forum??? RUDE! If you didn't want our opinions, don't ask next time. --Robb "This is a perfect example of why I hate people." Alvey
  11. In which case I'd ignore all the recommendations you've had for Knoebels. Really? I find that Phoenix ranks up there with some of the best wooden coasters I've ridden. Twister can have quite a bit of a bite to it, and their new Impulse is actually quite good! Sorry, but I don't find any of those three coaster lame or boring at all. Night time rides on Phoenix are some of the best coaster rides you'll ever have, IMO.
  12. My third time talking theme parks on the Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin show! We talk about parks all over the world! 16. Are you kidding??? Magic Kingdom used to get so much grief because quick-serve was pretty much ALL they had for the longest time... - Casey's Corner - Columbia Harbor House - Cosmic Ray's - Gaston's Tavern - Pecos Bill - Village Haus - Sleepy Hollow - Friar's Nook - Lunching Pad - Tortuga Tavern And that doesn't even include many smaller kiosks or even Be Our Guest, which is also a quick-serve during the day, but harder to get into. I mean, with all that, Really??? You couldn't find quick-service food options in the park!?!??!
  17. Really? Which ones? Of all the B&Ms I've been on in the last few years, the only one that really took me by surprise as being somewhat forceful was Banshee. And while that ride was REALLY good, it still was not as forceful as coasters B&M have done from 1992 - 2002.
  18. I understand where Ross is coming from in terms of them feeling very similar, I mean, I really felt that Medusa and Wicked Cyclone felt, really, really, REALLY close other than some obvious track layout differences, the feeling was similar. That being said, I still feel that RMC's coasters are far and above better than just about anything else coming out these days. I guess you can say that a lot of the Intamin non-looping coasters all "feel" similar too - Millennium Force, Superman Trio, Mega-Lite's, SkyRush, etc, but I wouldn't be upset if a park, no wait, EVERY park built one of those! IMO, having "too many RMC's" is the epitome of "first world problems."
  19. This year's event has been expanded to two days/three nights. Sounds like something you won't want to miss! Details: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Coasterstock Be sure to join or renew your Club TPR Membership! http://www.clubtpr.com
  20. It looks like the place you are hosting your pictures is private so they won't embed. You need to use the uploading tool to post them to TPR.
  21. No, actually you're leaving the board forever. Idiots like you won't be missed at all. If you think anyone here gives a crap about your "I've leaving" drama, you're totally wrong. The BEST thing for this forum is for horrible drama queens to bail out and make the content better for the rest of us. Thank you for improving the forum! We wish more people like yourself would leave. *EDIT: On a side note, the person that created some of the original drama with the complaining actually wrote to me and apologized for their behavior because they realized it was out of line. They are still an active member of this forum and we welcome their contributions. You, woodlandmammoth, on the other hand, decided to take the opposite route to create pointless stupid drama on the forum. You are not welcome back here and we don't want people like you posting to TPR. I'll make it quite simple - This is our forum... OUR FORUM!!!! If you don't like what we post, don't like how we respond, don't like how we run things... LEAVE! No one is pointing a gun to your head to be here and we really don't care to put up with your drama. It's quite simple - If you don't like it here, leave. You won't be offending us in the least bit. Thank you for your time.
  22. You know what's more annoying? People like you complaining...endlessly...about stupid crap like this. So are you ALSO annoyed that Disney reuses the Toy Story name for different rides? Or that Space Mountain appears in different parks and there are three totally different versions of it? Or that Universal has multiple different Harry Potter areas? Seriously. SHUT UP with all the damn petty complaining!!!! These are names and characters that people can connect with and that the park has the license to us. It just makes "sense." Sorry you don't understand that. I can tell you that we had way WAAAAAAY more views on every "Batman" video we put up than one labeled something like "Total Mayhem." Why? People people relate to those names and characters. Your average guest who walks out of the park is going to remember the "batman ride" a lot more than some random name of a ride that they probably forgot 10 minutes after they rode it. Not everyone is an "enthusiast" and most people in their lives will probably never know that "Batman" appears at a different park but is a different ride. We are all supposed to be "theme park experts" here and understand why parks do things. But the reality is there is more bitching and complaining than from normal park guests. And I *HATE* that part of this community. The park is building a big new ride, the name and theming look great, and I personally haven't had a chance to ride Batman in Texas so I'm actually VERY MUCH looking forward to riding this one in July. Why can't more people make posts like that? Would certainly make our forums a lot less annoying to read. /end rant.
  23. To all the people complaining about the name or ask why, first of all, who cares? Instead of complaining about it, why can't people just be happy the park is getting a big new ride? And as someone who worked with licensed properties most of their life, I can tell you it can be difficult getting everything approved and maybe this was one of those cases where the park knew what they wanted, but it was the licensor that held things up. It's not always "the parks fault" you know. Again, stop the complaining!!! It's so annoying! The ride looks great!!!
