Photo Mini TR: Carrabba's and Kroger
spaceace12 replied to TheRapidsNerd's topic in Random, Random, Random
Here in the Haute, we have 3 Krogers, a couple IGA's, and a few independants. Kroger has about 14 checks, others about 10. My job has 6 up front and 2 on the side. Because of our customer service and products, more people visit my store because of that. One part I love about my job is getting to know my customers. There is two in particular, that I leave my main job up front and if they don't have help, I push a cart through the store and help them (one has MS and is bound to a wheel chair and the other is a former worker at my p/t job now bound to a wheel chair). The only bad part about my job, holidays!!!! 6 lanes open with lines out to the aisles. Anyway, since the closest Terre Haute has to a themed restraunt, would be Cheeseburgers in Paradise, that one looked pretty cool. CiP is too expensive, so I heard, 10 dollars is what I heard for cheeseburger. -
publix was the first place I have ever seen Milk in a yellow container. OFf topic, I know, NICE trp btw.

Brave Six Flags Birds Get the Worms
spaceace12 replied to PKI Jizzman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know right now, 55 dollars gets you a six flags sp for 08. Plus since I am already a sp parking, that is only a extra 25. 80 dollars for a season pass with parking. I looked at a maxx pass earlier this year and the cheapest one was 125. With only two visits to CP and a KI trip planned next year, it still isn't worth it. I used to be a Six Flags sucks kinda person, but then I visited SFSTL and that park won me over. I have only been to one other park (SFKK) and HW is my favorite park by St. Louis is a close second. -

I don't think season pass sales are a problem for six flags. If you go to a six flags park 3 times in a season, it is paid for. I think more people would buy six flags season pass than a cf sp if they don't live close enough to a cf park or in ohio. I know a cf sp for me is silly because the closest cf park is 2 hours (kings island) and 5 hours (cp). While I have 3 six flags parks within 3 hours of where I live (st. louis, kk, and great america). Also, if I remember right, Six flags sold quite a few sp's this year. -

good luck. I know this may sound bad, but I kinda like how females are required also. Here in the states, only males are required to register for selected service (the draft, if it is ever used). I personally don't want to have to join, but hope if I do, I get a desk job also. Or a job in broadcasting (don't get me wrong, I like that people like to volunteer here). But anyway. Good luck.

Rob ....East Coast Trip 2008 - to late to announce?

If you want to do acting, good luck. If you got good looks and your voice sounds descent you could always do broadcasting! In Orlando, it should pay descent. Reporters that are good make descent money. Anchors make the most money after they have been established (the two main ones here make a good bit of money. I know the main guy anchor gets triple digit figures and holidays off.) But before you choose, think long and hard. It will affect you for the rest of your life. You could go to school for something you like and make just enough or more than enough money. Or you can could go to school for something you hate and make the best money there is, but hate your job.

Photo Mini TR: Carrabba's and Kroger
spaceace12 replied to TheRapidsNerd's topic in Random, Random, Random
Kroger sucks. 1. Because I worked there for 6 months 2. I work for a small hometown grocery store now (not too small though, probably half the size of a regular kroger) The restraunt looks cool though. -
Lets start off, park was dead all day. No wait for middle seats on any coaster all day. Clean like usually. Meet up with GCI intern Adam for a few rides, then found another person to ride with, this was his first visit to the park. I get the feeling he will be back quite a bit. Day rides. Rides on Voyage were, because the coaster was slower and they had the trim off. Raven was wonderfull like usual. Legend was rough, but okay. Later they did add trims on Voyage, but I didn't ride it then. Then dinner. Pizza, fudge, chips and veggies. Yummy, except for fudge, I can't eat it, too sweet for me. ERT!!!!!!!!! The person whose visit was the first time to HW was in for quite a shock. The only way to describe these coasters at night is. You know on movies where they speed up video to add the sense of out of control and speed, that is why these coasters ride like at night. It was absolutely unfreaking believable. Possibly better than night rides at HWN. Plus I guess there was about 70 people for ert. Front maybe had a one train wait, the same for back. I only took four photos at this event because I have just about every picture and I only took my video camera. I heard after first train ride on ERT on Voyage, someone on the train said, "hot damn" When ERT started I got two fun rides with Santa On Voyage, This was Santa's first night ride and the two things I heard him say was, "Still not as fast as my Sleigh" "woah Rudolph" Dragsterforce, GCI Intern, Adam. The King is here. I guess not performing anymore and eating peanut butter and banana sandwhiches will do this after a while.

ACE Musuem/Conneaut lake Park
spaceace12 replied to kidcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think this would be good for CLP. It would get people into the park, and get revenue in. Plus, you could ride a classic and then look at classics of yesteryear. Then if the Musuem charges admission, they could give a percentage back to the park to help keep Blue Streak running. -
Holiday World question
spaceace12 replied to SFOGdude25's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
this time of year. Very littly crowds. When are you going? I am going on Saturday. Also, be warned, some things might be closed (games and restraunts) and coasters might be on one train operations due to crowds and staffing. IT will be very possible to see pat or will koch even op'ing a ride. voyage's station on closing weekend last year. -

hey Scaparri, want to try to hit up the park sometime next year when the coaster opens? If you are at home , you can just drive down 70 and I will drive the rest of the way. And I can't wait for this to open. I wanted to ride a GCI so bad. -

If they are starting construction already (clearing land), why is it opening in mid summer. Man, I was so excited for opening weekend. -

TPR 2008 Trips! Download the flyers here!
spaceace12 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If someone hadn't of told me unofficially earlier that the texas trip wasn't going to happen, I might have been upset too, because from all accounts of R and E's posts, it seemed like it was going to happen. I was excited to about this trip because it was the most affordable of all thier trips they do, and to me that is a plus. I am now trying to decide if I want to go there on my own next spring or wait for tpr's trip. My plan now is to spend a good 3 days at cedar point while staying at breakers in the spring. Along with a weekend stay at cribbean cove in Indy (indoor water park) this spring. My advice to all of those who are upset, get over it, things change, your plans change. R and E, even though it isn't a 08 trip, I sure hope you do it in 09. -
I would go with A, but move Cedar Point to after Kings Island, Food and drinks is probably going to be cheaper for plan a (because HW and IB have cheap food), maybe also consider adding Six Flags St. Louis. You could possibly do HW and SF in 1 and 1/2 days, and they maybe adding a coaster next year (I say maybe because of the fact no official word is announced till tomorrow and swoosh says it is a GCI).
