  1. Aah, another person who sees the greatness that is Knoebels. Too bad that you didn't hit everything..Cosmotron (which I didn't see mentioned at all) is like rave party: the ride, and some of those other flats you didn't hit were pretty cool as well. However, none can ever match Phoenix.
  2. According to the webcam, looks like the watersplash section is the next to go up.
  3. Actually, the station is done now. But then again, its been atleast 2 minutes since I last checked the webcam.
  4. Its an awesome model, and I stop by it everytime I go to KI to watch it go a few times. My only concern is the inacuracies, such as the two hills surrounding the hammerhead are supposed to cross, one of the helixes going the wrong way, and the first two drop curves out at the bottom. However, I'm sure there were building restraints and that was the best you could do.
  5. ^Yeah. They are both really fun parks, especially Kings Island. Starting next year, we'll have a great hyper, and our current line up does have a few hidden jems. The only thing is, I have declared Son of Beast to be the S&M coaster. It can be good, but you have to be willing to take a beating to get airtime. Also, KI has a bunch of good flats like Drop Zone and Crypt. Cedar Point really only has a bunch of coasters, and only a couple of them are any good (Maverick, Raptor, Millenium...) They DO have a Chaos though, so thats always good.
  6. LASER SNAKE HORSE ON FIRE How do you guys not see it?
  7. 2 new pieces of track are up as of the park closing today. It looks like they are constructing the brake run first. I wish I had a camera to get a pov shot of it. Its so high up, and there looks like there is little room for the actual brake run/turn around after the water splash area.
  8. I completely agree with you on Firehawk (except I haven't got the chance to ride Tatsu yet...) Something tells me you didn't get the full KI experience though. I didn't see anything on Drop Tower, Crypt, or the awesomeness of Vortex's first drop.
  9. Its been atleast 2 minutes, why isnt a new piece of track up yet? With that in mind, I'm heading up to KI today for one last Deathbat/Beast/Vortex/Diamondback/other ride fix before I head back to college this saturday.
  10. For newer systems, I'd go with a Wii or XBox 360. However, I've always prefered Sony and Nintendo to XBox. The system has a few cool games, but otherwise, PS2 covers most bases, and the Wii is a highly interactive system.
  11. Vans Warped Tour at Riverbend in Cincinnati. I love getting into events for free with my Coney Island employee ID.
  12. I never realized how massive the Mall of America was until now. Sure I knew about the park and minigolf, but an aquarium and miles of stores? All I can say is wow! I can easily make a day there if I ever go up to Minnesota.
  13. What about the riders? Do we get coastercats? Because I'd go if I got coastercats.
  14. Mmmmm, Vortex.... I'm suprised how Racer has changed over the season. Earlier, blue always won, but now its red (like I mind, Red's my fave anyways). Still, KI is really shaping up this season between Diamondback, Crypt's epicness, Vortex still being there, Racer, and just the fact that its ALWAYS crowded when I go this year. Hopefully I'll get in another trip next week before I go back to Huntington... Well, either that or another CP/Indiana trip.
  15. Looks really good so far. I like Iron grizzly and *gasp* the kiddy. My only concern is the number of coasters. You can design them pretty well, but I dont want to see the skyline get crowded with giant skyscraping structures. A reallistic park would have them scattered with lots of flats and such inbetween.
  16. Dear Kings Island, Can we get this instead of Diamondback?
  17. I'll be working my second to last day this season at Coney. I'll try to work the Pespi Python all day if I can. -Jared "Enjoy your ride on Coney Island's longest, tallest, fastest, and ONLY steel rollercoaster" Becker
  18. Hmm...water.....LSHoF? In all seriousness though, I'm gonna join the Eurofighter side. HW needs an inverting ride period, and I'd love to see a Eurofighter over there. Its a medium-sized coaster that would fit pretty well with HW's family friendly yet thrilling attitude. The only problem I see is IB's El Loco being only hours away, since they are a similar concept in rides.
  19. Just for the record, I only got that Diamondback shirt so I could rub it in peoples faces that I called the name and location years ago. Anyways, Deathbat=awesomeness. Definately my favorite non-coaster, and a must hit if you ever go to KI. However, it does try to neuter riders, so...Also, I want to go back and get those glasses. They gave me laser vision, and helped me melt Son of Beast
  20. Its about time you posted this, JACK. I like how I'm the least photogenic person in the world. All the shots of me make me look like a retard. Also, I love all the random coaster clubs we never heard of. Especially Theme Park Adventure (apparently their a magazine)
  21. I agree with ginzo (lazyness and all). I'm just happy that my second home park (though I would LOVE for Coney to get a new coaster) is getting an awesome steel coaster. Personally, I loved Nitro, so if this is really slightlymodified Nitro, then I'm not complaining. Suddenly one of my favorite hypers from half way across the USA from me just came to my homepark with a cool color scheme, and a name that I called 2 years ago.
  22. The baddest ride in the park. Although I'm pretty sure its gonna be hard to beat SoB's roughness...
  23. KI has airtime. You just have to be willing to take some pain to get it (backseat SoB, wheel seat in front car of Racer, double ride seats on Beast, anywhere on Vortex...) I'll just be happy if Diamondback gives airtime that wont shatter your back. As for the whole B&M in-creativity thing, I personally love how they modeled it after Behemoth and Nitro. For an Ohioan, its awesome to have that kind of thing so close to home. Nitro was fun when I went to GAdv, so I'm happy to have something similar at my homepark, and I'm not going to Canada anytime soon, so... The point I'm trying to make is not everybody goes around the world riding coasters. If we have a clone mix-up at a close by park, more power to us. Intensity wise, KI is a family park, so B&M is a better option than an intense company like Intamin.
  24. Yeah, I'm trying to find that clip right now. Apparently the reporters got JZ's name wrong and called him Jack. I'm not sure if they got any of what I said, but I've heard that they did quote JZ, and we were both standing there in our LSHoF shirts.
