  1. Woah, sorry Elissa! I wasn't rolling eyes at you. I just found it funny that only three posts after you, another post was made that pretty much was the kind of post you were referring to in your own. My sincerest apologies.
  2. ^I remember seeing that in the aerial pictures of the construction site. The turn around the skycoaster is still there, with what looks like the entire fleet of cars parked on that section. I'm not sure how visible that part of the ride is to guests from the midway, but I'd bet the park gets a lot of questions about them.
  3. For a Cedar Fair park, this area of the park actually looks quite nice in my opinion.
  4. If we're counting coasters within one park, Corkscrew at Nagashima Spaland was just moved closer to Steel Dragon, and, though it's listed as defunct on RCDB, Ultra Twister will be as well.
  5. Black Widow went vertical yesterday! The park has uploaded an album on Facebook showing the work done.
  6. ^Yup. In fact, I think the jokes about it are starting to outnumber the actual questions about it.
  7. Finally! I was seriously beginning to doubt if they would install it or not. I hope they still plan to put in the other fly-through building. Any word on if they are still doing it? I thought the theming was cancelled.
  8. Plus, that former exit ramp is finally gone. I really like the way Comet turned out as a result of the Hollow revamp. I'm glad they decided to open up more space in the Hollow, so this certainly isn't a complaint by any means, but I'm kind of surprised they didn't try to build small row of game stalls from the edge of the new Comet queue up to the curb next to the Skyrush station, to minimize the change to the area. I'm glad they went for the trees and midway practically right under the brake run instead. I can't wait to see this thing start testing...I'm already looking forward to my visit to ride it!
  9. Kennywood actually test ran beer sales last year in September with an 'Oktoberfest' setup in the stage area. You had to be 21 to enter the area, you couldn't take beer out of the area, and if I'm not mistaken, they limited the amount of beer a guest could buy. It was handled very well; I noticed no problems (my rides are right across the midway). The article suggests the new beer garden, if introduced, would work the same way. I don't think there should be an issue. The park has thoroughly explained how the system works to all media stations in the area, but local reactions seem to indicate that people don't seem to understand it. Not sure how much the beer cost during the event, to give an idea of the prices this garden would have.
  10. Ever given a speech on Billy Mays? I'm about to do just that.
  11. I actually think Khan's trains look really good. It's definitely more well executed than the ad skins everyone is comparing them to.
  12. SFMM last year also comes to mind, but we haven't seen its long-term effects yet.
  13. ^Keanu's got you covered. Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  14. X-Flight for the other Great America...tear down Grizzly and build it in the same spot as the Six Flags ride! In all seriousness, this does seem to have Green Lantern written all over it, but something tells me that's not it.
  15. Looks like we'll have to start a "The Mysterious Green B&M" thread! If not Cedar Point, isn't X-Flight rumored to get cloned for other Six Flags parks? Or it could very well be another Hair-Raiser-obscure-location-made-well-in-advance ride.
  16. My guess would be a Starflyer. I haven't been on one, but CP's Windseeker didn't really freak me out.
  17. I'm thinking the main appeal about reversing the train is that they're shuttle coasters, so the riders will still be going forwards at one point, just in a way they haven't before. That said, I don't see Joker's Jinx or Poltergeist being switched. However, if Great Adventure had kept the Chiller coasters open till this point, I could see those being reversed.
  18. I'm sure there's more, but the current trains on Trailblazer are Premier trains, and apparently more spacious than the old Arrow ones. Personally, comparing it with the Cedar Creek Mine Ride, I can't say I noticed any differences, but...
