Kristen will NEVER be called "Katie" by us. No offense to anyone who shares that name, but we really don't like it as a nick name for Kristen. --Robb "KidTums will do just fine!" Alvey Sooo sorry i also screwed it up. Jon "sometimes i forget my own name" Azevedo -
I have always wanted one of these themed to Peter Pan. Switching to flying postion as you exit the darlings window, fly over London, then launch as you go to the second star to the right and straight on till morning.

GO Big RED Apparently either a large crayon or a piece of gum? Though the mascots at sporting events were bears.

^*5 Katie Screamed on this trip? Wow. I think she did that maybe once on the Spain trip. Including at night since Ron and my room somehow often ended up next to R&E&K's, sometimes even adjoining (as was the case in PortAventura) She was such an angel and soooo adorable. I admit i cooed and made more baby noises more than i think i ever have. -
Then how about Patrick Star the Ride?

Photo TR: Nrthwnd's TOP 10 LIST of the TPR Japan'07 Tour!
Moose replied to Nrthwnd's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^ How dirty it is depends on what you were packing. I will definately bring fewer shoes to Europe which was where most of the room in my suitcase went. I shouldnt have listened to Mr Raptor, my carryon is the size of your checked bag, BoyASU when packing. ^^ You HAD a bag. Emphasis on the past tense of course. Still no word? -

It's cool that the pic on teh rail pass is Hokusai's Great Wave (or at least part of it). It is one of my favorite paintings. Damn you are a shopaholic. I could not have fit that much EXTRA stuff in my suitcase if i tried. It was a struggle to get the couple of things I bought in Spain as it was. Perhaps i need to invest in a bigger bag . -

That panda looks like it's making an OOOh face. THat might give some sort of indication why Rich is so happy. -
Was Serious Debacle not filling the back of the trains? And, fyi, that is not just some statue, it is Chilly Willy. It really is best to know who you are hugging.

Did i miss something on why the coaster couldn't cross the path? Looks good as always, but it's a bid sad to see a great looking coaster retired before its time. -
NEWS: Six Flags Great America Cited by OSHA
Moose replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really do not understand all the OSHA hate around here. Yes someeof their regulations can be a P.I.T.A. but they are there for a reason, to keep employees safe. Their regulations are the law, and if they were broken, SF, or anyone else, deserves the fines. I myself have had to go through OSHA training regarding construction sites. While it was boring and some of the stuff is a pain to deal with, the fact remains construction sites are much safer now than they were before OSHA. Same goes for other job environments. All of the infractions listed seem to be in a machine shop. These regulations would apply to all machine shops and it is not a case of OSHA coming down hard on SF. If you read the article you would see that this "raid" was because they were investigating places that had problems in the past and had absolutely nothing to do with a disgruntled former employee. Floorless Coasters: Just a gimmick?
Moose replied to RIP Psyclone's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I look at floorless as a slightly modified version of a sit down and that's good enough for me. I like being more exposed, but i do not view a coaster as better or worse because of it. Gimmick. eh. don't see it. Count me in the "hate standups" crowd. The forces it excerts on my knees are not pleasurable in any way. -
Nice landscaping around the coaster (though i suspect you'd hit it if it were real.) Those inversions would likely kill the riders.

Ride At Valleyfair Closed After Fire

Since the park does not open till 10am and this was "around 9 a.m." I am guessing this was during morning testing. -
Poll: Favorite Style of B+M Drop
Moose replied to timetrial3141592's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I selected both predrop straight and curved. (Thankyou for giving an indecisive gemini the chance to NOT make the decision). The speed going over the top of the drop gave it a great feeling for the whole train. I still liked these "elements" better on the Spanish coasters, though I'm not sure why. Perhaps it was the company? -

Looks like you are having a great time. I'm not jealous, i swear. I hope the weather doesn't mess you guys up too badly. -
No, THIS is phallic: Ok. I can see that. Mitica's did look happy to see us (it's the angle of the "inversion") but not happy enough to be working. But adding a fetus does make it much more female. That would be great theming wouldn't it? But then again i am not sure i would want to go on womb: the ride.
-
She? That has to be one of the phallic coasters out there, i doubt it's a female. Nice report. Too bad its sister (brother?) coaster didn't work while we were there.

You get a pig for being "fat"? So very poetic.

So was it your age sex or location that they got wrong to win you mr piggie?
