  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aBWWaUNOuo I cant quite understand this concept. Isn't the main draw of the arc not the arc itself, but the fact that there was one of every kind of animal inside? Who the hell wants to just see a wooden ship. I am now an agnostic, but even when I used to be very religious I still would not have found a giant ship interesting.
  2. There is a series of movies in a series called August Underground that are universally known as being the most messed up films ever made. I was going to post a synopsis(I refuse to watch the film after reading the synopsis) but Jesus Christ... I am literally sickened by reading it now. The movies (at least the first one) are considered to be very good among HARD CORE horror fans, but I am not touching this one. According to the synopsis we've got pedophilia, infanticide, and tons of other messed up things... Once again I will not watch it... EVER. The most disturbing film I personally have ever seen is Ichi the killer, which is an incredibly sadistic although somewhat awesome action movie. I love the whole Yakuza aspect, and although the gore was INSANE the fight scenes were pretty awesome and the storyline with Itchi in general was very interesting and disturbing. I also need to throw in a shout out for Very Bad Things. It is not nearly as gory and disturbing as other films mentioned... but it is classified as a comedy, which is what makes it disturbing. There are just some things that people should just not laugh at, and a lot of the issues brought up in the film should just NEVER EVER be viewed as funny.
  3. More layout revealed. I suck at supports! They are no where done, but I am generally a wooden builder, so yeah. Anyone have support advice? I have done 2 steel coasters ever and they were my first 2 coasters(ever) with the worst structures ever. I have also never attempted anything like this before. taboo-101130165124000.bmp Taboo: Dare to break coasterdoms rules...coming soon!
  4. Stupid me... worst night to see Harry Potter ever. BRING ON ICE QUAKE! I'll be there for that one.
  5. Most Majestic Title Fairy, I asketh just one small favor. I was a Disneyland cast member over the summer, and my Disney fandom is at an all time high. I would love my title to be "It all started with a mouse" Dearest title fairy I will continue to worship your everlasting beauty, grace, and wisdom for the rest of my days.
  6. 2 tone plunge... I didnt catch that... nice ska reference. Your park looks awesome, and I love the way you organize things...keep it up. The I Received a Specials CD over the weekend Ghost
  7. It's good to hear shes doing well, but the final point... This part kind of was stupid. It was due to an employees stupidity and had nothing to do with the ride in question. Granted I dont know what he could have said, but people make it seem that there is VERY little that goes into opening a ride when in truth there are so many precautions taken. This is a very tragic story, however, but it looks like the ending will be relatively happy.
  8. I'm experimenting with new building styles. This is no CS by the way. SCR215.BMP The parks central shopping area.
  9. ^ The PR clearly worked on at least one person ...lol... just kidding. I am actually very happy with this though, I love rides with darker themes, because people ride coaster type rides for the thrill, and adding that extra bit of terror or thrill adds that much more to the ride.
  10. No... IT inverts before the lift so it goes right side up, but on the outside of the lift. Then it does a more than vertical drop... but I'm having fun with it so far!
  11. I think this is a pretty unique lift hill.
  12. Some people are assholes. I saw a production of Peter Pan and some dude was such an asshole he literally got kicked out of the theater. There was this kid behind him(probably 9 or 10), and every now and then he would slightly kick the mans chair when shifting(I was told he was autistic, but am not entirely sure.) The guy proceeds to turn around and tell the kid and his mother that he is about ready to cut off the kids f****** foot. The mother then complained to security and the guy turned to the kid and said fact the consequences for your f****** actions. A few minutes later a random lady got up and got security for the same guy, she had three small children and the guy was cussing like crazy... which was true from what we could hear three rows away. In the end he was escorted out and was threatened to be sued and his girlfriend/wife left him. I kind of get this behavior at a sporting event, but this was a Broadway style production of Peter Pan. Then this guy keeps cussing at a(supposedly) autistic child. The kid was in the row in front of us and we could see him, he bumped the guys chair a few times, but like many autistic problem he seemed to have some issues with keeping still. Lastly Peter Pan is a show where it is expected there will be kids everywhere. I don't know why, but the guy REALLY pissed me off. It was so unnecessary, and it was live theater, really no reason to get crazy over, especially when he didn't ask the child or mother to stop in the first place without practically cussing them off and causing the mother to cry because the guy cussed out her kid. Some people are assholes. ^ They sound like assholes, but the giant dicks aspect is hilarious, my friend used to sign all his papers with a dick next to his name as my friends name is Richard, and that was his "emblem" as he put it. Too bad he went off to college... oh well.
  13. BONERIFFIC! Awesome work!
  14. I don't necessarily care, but I'm not stupid with what I eat. I am a little overweight(5'11 about 210 lbs) but I've been essentially the same weight or within a few pounds for the last year or so. I eat what I want, but I don't eat double downs and don't eat the ten piece chicken nugget meal. No offense to the people that do, but its not my style, and it honestly kind of scares me that thats where were headed as a country. Also for me quality is much more important than quantity generally, so I don't eat a crazy amount of fast food simply because I don't usually feel good later if I have had too much fast food.
  15. OH MY GOD! Not only do we get a disney 2d animation film, but they're also bringing back a classic franchise? This is AWESOME!!!! YES! Nice move, Disney! I went on the site, now my background til opening day is the hundred acre wood!
  16. I was freaking out all day at school while being barraged with IAAPA tweets about awesome sounding coasters and rides, but not being able to see them. SO WORTH IT! This is awesome coverage... and I am refreshing your video every 5 or so minutes as it should be up soon based on your time frame. Not to plug another site or anything, but the podcast IN THE LOOP, is doing a nightly podcast covering the happenings at IAAPA, and I believe it spans the next 4 nights, starting tonight. CLICK ROBB'S LINK! VIDEO IS UP!!!! Awesome video Robb. I love the Mauree wheels and feel that would fit perfectly on HRRR.
  17. ^^ As far as I know they build the TGG wooden supported coasters, aka non hybrids. At least, so far thats what they've created.
  18. ^ LOL ^^ I didn't know LOTSO was a real toy! Thats actually very freaky to me now. I REALLY hated that dude in toy story, he belongs in the furnace, then on Sid's truck.
  19. THATS AWESOME! The first image of the slide show literally has the url Orlandothrillpark.com in the image. Wow, someone screwed that up! By the way I found the map, thanks Larry. Jesus, this place looks insane and hilarious unlikely! I wonder who they want to build the inverted accelerator? It would have to be an intamin impulse based on what type of rides there are currently. Wow... like I said...this wont happen.
  20. I hate the LOTSO thing as well. He was an ass, and frankly he is one of the creepier villains if not only for the reason that the toy story characters were so close to actually dying in that furnace. However, I want to see if its true that his costume actually smells like strawberries.
  21. These rides are so hit and miss for me. I have only been on twice, but one ride was pretty fun and the other was ...both on Deja Vu at SFMM. I love the vertical drops, but that cobra roll killed me on my bad ride, and I had to ride relatively defensively the second time. Also, like many I hate the seating arrangement on these things.
  22. Anyone else planning on seeing Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan? I love everyone in it, and I love me an artistic film, and the addition of a few horror elements makes it that much better.
  23. Butter. That sounds weird, and I'm not really afraid of butter, but on Weeds there was a contest where one of the characters had to eat pure butter. That sounds like the worst thing EVER. I like a little butter, but ewwww... eating butter is wrong in every way possible.
  24. The top hats adorable! I think this looks pretty fun though, very nice for a small park. I could totally see something like this going to one of the "lesser" Cedar Fair parks like CGA or Michigan's Adventure, who(at least based on trip reports) are generally not too busy.
