  1. Great report! Glad you enjoyed the food despite the time it took to get it. Yeah, the locals love all of the nostalgia KI is bringing back this year, so that's even more focus and attention the park is getting ontop of their regular visitors! Ever since Mystic Timbers was announced, there's this extra 'buzz' in Cincinnati about the park. It seems like it's more popular than I can ever remember!
  2. Use the app 'Hopper' to help get track flights for cheaper airfare. The combo of Knoebels and Hershey is a great mix that shouldn't be missed. Kings Dominion + Busch Gardens is as well.
  3. That drop at night will be something else. It's seriously impressive that they were able to thread the needle, I honestly think I'd be a little nervous up there looking down at the tunnel! Looks like a lot of fun.
  4. It's okay, Bert, I have 'em permission to use the word jizz since it's in my title and I have that power Great report! I share your love for all you mentioned about Dollywood, mostly Thunderhead in the back seat and it's so awesome how each of their coasters are just...quality. The sense of humor + story + pictures has made this one of my favorite trip reports this year! Looking forward to the next one.
  5. Great report! I had the same feelings you did upon walking into the park. SFOT has a nice collection of flats and coasters; hoping you got on Mr. Freeze but if you didn't something tells me you didn't care once you got on the OG log flume.
  6. Thanks for the photos everyone, as sad as it may be. In other news, I miss I305!!! What an incredible ride.
  7. There are still so many people talking about the dislike for the vests years after they have been introduced it's not an excuse, it's because they do provide a less comfortable experience for some people. Some parks have fixed/made it better than others but when your chest is being hugged so tight your breathing is shortened, it really sucks and is a big distraction from the ride experience. Valravn is still a new ride and pulls in that wait because Cedar Point is a popular destination park and the ride is right at the front of the park looming over the midway inviting you to come ride. There are only a handful of rides at CP that get 30 minute or less waits on busy days. Wonderland getting this dive coaster has nothing to do with what people think about the vests. It's a record breaking coaster that's a massive visual spectacle. Just because people complain about one aspect of the ride doesn't mean it's a shit coaster or unworthy of being invested in. Hasn't B&M said that these new restraints have been implemented because of the slow inversions? Are you insinuating that there's headbanging on Griffon or Sheikra or other dive coasters with the old OTSR?
  8. You've perfectly described every ride I've had on Mindbender over the past 11 years I've never had a ride on it that didn't include the loooooong pause at the top of the lift. I love it! Gives you time to take in the tree-top views before curling around to the drop. I believe that's the normal Mindbender.
  9. Glad to hear both of you had a great day on the opening day weekend. You never know what you're going to get! Happy to hear Fury still lives up to the hype and exceeds the previous rides in 2016, it's a fantastic coaster! Especially at night with those chaser lights. Damn I love the color scheme.
  10. I had to stop reading when I saw the Pikachu-glasses-mask combo in the Copperhead testing photo Pik-a-boo
  11. I'm just here to test out the quick reply feature. I mean, I'm really happy with all of the little changes they're doing to keep the park looking great!
  12. This section of TPR is such a treat.
  13. Great report and photos of all the amazing options. I wish I could get out there this year!
  14. Just got a chance to watch the multi-angle video for the first time... you can really see people lift out of their seats against the restraint during the inversions! And then again during the airtime hills. Looks like a ton of fun.
  15. 14 airtime moments and a low to the ground floating barrel roll. I love the aesthetic of the area and it looks like an amazing complete attraction + area!
  16. I couldn't continue after 5 seconds. I'll wait for the park to put out some testing footage or photos.
  17. It all looks and sounds incredible! I can imagine how that hallway/door scene goes in Scooby and translating that into a part of a trackless darkride is genius.
  18. You're welcome. It is also going to be your last impression because I have zero patience for people like you... Nailed it. Right?! It's amazing how the whole area for the ride has been filled in with the greenery and water, too. It'll be so much fun flying around the trees and over the ponds.
  19. Thanks for calling that out, I hadn't had the chance to read all the details on it. That's pretty cool! $5 for probably a great offering of beers too, I'd be in if I was a local.
  20. So much good food! What a great diverse mix of sweet and savory for what seems like an endless menu when combined. That beer stein though. Seems like you've gotta be a dedicated drinker to bring that thing to and from the park on top of putting it where you need to if you want to ride something.
  21. That's how Six Flags is meeting in the middle. We asked for fresh paint so we're just getting a fresh coat of simple white paint haha Bold prediction: new name - La Flama Blanca
  22. Exciting chapters of this thread! The Intamins at Ferrari world seem like a ton of fun. I like the how you talk about the lateral G's - that really intrigues me because those parts of Skyrush were kinda my favorite. The combo of the strong forces + the open seating makes for such a unique feeling. A rare, legit scared feeling
  23. I don't think you guys can call Kw6sTheatee a nerd because he clearly misspelled the 'Theater' part of his username when hastily signing up.
  24. Cedar Fair does a great job on picking the breweries they work with. I'm a fan of all the collabs they have put out.
