Man, for a bunch of people who probably only went there once, rode the crappy coaster once for the credit, left 30 minutes after they got there and never had any intention of going back these enthusiasts are sure fired up about this. Again, I liked the place and this is unfortunate but the way to convince them to keep the dry park open was to actually go there and spend money when it was open. That ship has sailed. I’ll never understand the point of these kinds of petitions. This is the park on the Ohio river that gets devastating floods every so many years, too. That can't help with costs either. What was worth saving and petitioning was their funky giant wooden-coaster looking pair of slides called the Zoom Floom. It was a great place to take your little kids if they couldn't go on the bigger rides at Kings Island. The real attraction for the locals is the water park, Riverbend music center, and events held there like company outings.

Great report and glad you had as good of a time as you could, haha. My experience on Hades was the same as yours, although I found Zeus to be one of the most painful coasters since vintage SoB and Hurler. RIP to the S&S woodie that lived around the corner.

There is a difference between writing about it on TPR and filling out a comment card/letting the park know.

SFOT has a really awesome mix of coasters and Power Wave inly adds to it. I really need to get back there!

I'm glad it opened and you got to experience Untamed! It looks really great. Goliath is still very alluring..it looks great and I might be in the minority that likes its current color scheme over the original.

Phoenix is legit! It's really wild in the rain, too. It's amazing how it's so consistent - first rides of the day or last of the night it's fantastic.

Kings Island takes a lot of pride in their Haunt, so if there isn't anything new offered this year I hope they just focus on adding more details to the current line up and packing them with as many actors as much as possible. I think it's much more Story Telling COASTER than Gringott's is. I mean, Gringott's BARELY counts as a coaster. Just that strip of Guardians track that was exposed before it was covered up is proof that this will be WAY more of a coaster than Gringott's All of these updates look incredible. So many updates! I'm aiming to visit WDW in 2020 and Epcot has been climbing the ranks on my 'anticipated parks' list.

Great photos! Millennium still manages to be special in a park crowded with excellent coasters. What changed my view on it was a front seat ride. Wow. Day or night it's epic!

Giant Drop alone is worth the trip out there, and now they have this awesome new coaster. Great addition!

First of its kind? Then it's gotta be with a drop taller than the lift/heighest point for sure. It's a lame 'first of' but I think it makes sense.

The other teaser that was just released: Eiffel Tower will no longer have the longest 'drop' in the park next year.

The eye blinking/movement on Mickey and Minnie is just SO cool! Great update, I like the layout and look of the place. I'm sure it will be crowded on hot days. The Orlando Magic did pretty well last year and have playoff hopes again this year so I could see them tying in player appearances/events/promotions there throughout the year.

A custom invert at Gröna Lund...this will probably be one of the best out there since it's Gröna Lund! Can't wait to see it take shape.

One of the teasers is that Diamondback will no longer be the longest steel coaster at KI. Diamondback: Length 5,282 ft (1,610 m) Other similar 300+ft coasters: Leviathan: Length 5486 feet i305: Length 5100 feet Final predictions? Are we going to see something crazy like a launched lift hill? First cable lift by B&M? A drop track? Will crazy KI superfans storm the stage if it's not over 300ft but still has a 300ft drop? Vest restraints? 48 trims?!

Great report! I happen to be heading to Ocean City this weekend and I was curious about what rides and coasters I'd see out there so this is a great recap. I'm more of a beach guy and have 0 nostalgia tied to this place so although the Flitzer looks tempting I doubt I'll go out of my way for any of these little parks.

Guy, it's all subjective. To the vast majority of theme park goers Copperhead fits that to a tea. If you're a well traveled park visitor and you took that literally expecting i305 or Skyrush you played yourself. Also you're quoting a press release. They're not going to say 'This coaster has decent speed, gives you mild tummy tickles, and goes upside down and has 2 launches but don't let that trick you into thinking it's our Maverick'

It's definitely noticeable in the back of the train wing seats (12, 14, 16), not as noticeable in the inner seats (13, 15) and it's been like that since it opened in 2009. For some reason the bottom of the drop coming out of the turnaround going up into the trim brake hill is the worst part. It's like you're going through gravel I suggest riding in 13 or 15 next time. Personal faves: row 2 for the hangtime over the first drop on the outer seats, row 10 for a good blend of middle and back, and then either 15 or 16 for the whip over the drops.
