Oldest Coaster You've Ridden

I pretty sure that Leap the Dips was never completely razed, though most of the wood (read about 80-90%) has been replaced. Now, here are my 10 oldest: Leap the Dips - Lakemont Park - 1902 Jack Rabbit - Seabreeze - 1920 Jack Rabbit - Kennywood - 1921 Thunderhawk - Dorney Park - 1923 (Massively Changed) Big Dipper - Blackpool - 1923 Thunderbolt - Kennywood - 1924 (Massively Changed) Big Dipper - Geauga Lake - 1925 Racer - Kennywood - 1927 Roller Coaster - Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach - 1932 Roller Coaster - Blackpool - 1933 -
^ You gonna take that Wally! Anyway, I really don't have anything against AB, but what they are doing with RR is just silly. How can you change the process, the location and the source and still label the beer as "From the glass-lined tanks of old Latrobe, we tender this premium beer for your enjoyment, as a tribute to your good taste. It comes from the mountain springs to you."? Mister Rogers (Latrobe Native) is rolling in his grave as we speak.

Here is what I suggest to anyone visiting Hersheypark. Get there in the late afternoon and hang around Chocolate World (free admission) for a while until you can get into the park for "preview". Then, close the park. If you kept your parking stub and admission stub from the night before, you will park and get into the park for free the second day. Get there early and head to Storm Runner. Resist the urge to go to Wildcat and LR next and head to the Comet. Comet and Stormrunner and the two biggest lines in the park.

Just saw The Roots this past monday with the Pharcyde and some crazy chick that plays hip-hop violin.

Average Wait Times for the month of August It looks like the waits are about half as long the weekdays as opposed to the weekends, but since it is Cedar Point, still count a couple of long ones. If you absolutely MUST cut the line, try this. (I got to try this someday)

Seriously, you should probably listen to Carnage's take on this. He travels outside of Canada pretty frequently. I think he would know.

Oh ... and Tim ... don't forget to pack that big fat bag of cash! The UK is SUPER expensive at the moment. But I sure that you knew that.

^ From my understanding, one of the big benefits to the DynaBrake over the Intamin Magnetic Brake is that it can shave off speed depending on the speed of the train. Unlike the Intamin brake that applies the same braking power no matter what. // Feel my uber geek powers ... now they have no excuse.

License is fine, but I would bring the Birth Certificate for good measure.

I totally agree. I don't understand why they are so hesitant to put the second train on. They usually wait till the line is damn near the entrance before adding it. To makes things even stranger, they have no problem adding the second train to Thunderbolt and Jack Rabbit. C'mon. We all know it works

Soren, I know that you used to be able to get Warsteiner on draft at the Orlando Ale House (Located at Crossroads, across from the Downtown Disney entrance). Haven't been there in years though. -
^ Why wait till next year! [points to signature] Nice Report Derek! Sorry we weren't around any longer, but it is pretty hard to try to keep a big group together. Especially when everyone is just trying not to die of heat stroke. ^^ Tommy, it was every bit as hot as C3 last year, but with a big difference ... the Fudge Shop is the only air conditioned building in the whole park. So hot that I even rode the Raging Rapids for the first time in like 15 years.

Rolling Rock isn't really any special, but the only thing it really had going for it was it's crisp and "clean" taste. Pumping water out of some nuclear pit in Newark isn't going to help that any.

Slight Modification to Derek's will work for me ... Last Row of Phantom's Revenge on Sunday. Great ride! -
Crotch-Pot Cooking. That is all I have to say.
