  1. ^ What GP? Last I checked they were all over on the other side at the waterpark.
  2. Crap. I really wanted to attend this again this year, but i will be in Dells and IB that weekend.
  3. Got 4 for Pittsburgh. 2 Codes. The first took about 3 minutes to get. The second pair took about 5 hours
  4. I don't want to see a clone of any of those rides. If they were to build a clone of Expedition G Force in Pennsylvania, what reason would I have to go to Germany. ... other than Oktoberfest.
  5. OK. I didn't get nearly as many photos as Justin so I am just going to post them here instead of starting a new TR. Enjoy. On our way to Thompson Speedway on Sunday, Catrina and I got a call from Justin telling us that the races had been canceled. So we met up with him and his father at Geauga to get the coaster trip started a little early. Nice of Geauga to let people know that some of their marquee attractions have gone the way of the dodo bird. They really weren't kidding when they said they would bring the park back to it's traditional roots. Enter the coaster dorks! The park was dead and Snoopy looked lonely, so Catrina and I posed for a shot with him. Sally looked on in jealous rage. After traveling through the center of the rainstorm and seeing an Accord lit up in a blaze of glory, it was time to check in at Breakers Express. Here I am driving on the sidewalk to keep everyone dry as they enter the car. The next morning we entered the park early as part of our Breakers Express deal. Unfortunately, Millennium Force was not cooperating so we made our way down to Maverick for our first ride of the day. Hey Justin, didn't anyone inform you that Cedar Point shoots all camera violators on site (Note: They had been sitting in the brakes for about 2-3 minutes) The Maverick loading area. Cedar Point does a lot of silly little things but I have always loved how they keep the stations from overfilling. More Maverick riders. "Hey Sandy and the Kids. I am standing in front of Millennium Force. How everything is going well As demonstrated in this photo, the pollen count was pretty insane for our Cedar Point visit. There were moments where it looked like a blizzard. This is not an exaggeration. Justin seemed to like Mantis more than the average visitor, but still ranked Riddler way above it. As do I. Many coaster enthusiasts seem to relish the thought of being stuck on a coaster but this is one situation where I think i would pass. Unfortunately for Justin, I brought a wealth of crappy weather to Cedar Point with me. His quest to get all the credits would be a challenge because of the constant storm fronts hitting the area. At least the rain provided some great rides on Bluestreak. So good that it was the only coaster in the park that I rode twice that day. For the geeks. Justin gets all excited when he sees that Raptor is running again. Too bad that it would be testing for the next hour. Storm #2. We waited this one out in the picnic pavillions. Storm #4. I think it is now time to go I am still glad that the weather eased up a little bit after I left and that Justin still got to get some more rides in.
  6. I doubt that "Pot Smoking" would be any justification for such a search. Maybe if the cops believed a rape or homicide took place, but not on suspicion of marijuana use. OP - Sorry to hear that your visit went so bad. It happens from time to time, and it is a real disappointment when everything seems to go wrong. You did what anyone else should do in the same circumstances. Write a letter through the proper outlets and cut your day short. Better luck next time.
  7. ^ Whoops. Sorry about that. I guess that chart could help if all you wanted to do was to compare the acceleration to height, but not much else. If anyone would know, it would probably be Dave Althoff. PM me if you need his email address. He has a true obsession for the inner workings of EVERY Cedar Point ride. Might be hard to find a lot of this data because (according to this PDF) they don't allow accelerometers on MF. Even on Physics Day.
  8. Just Google "millenium force accelerometer"
  9. Great Report Justin! It was great to spend a little time with you and your father and to take in some great coasters. Sorry that the weather wasn't very cooperative and that the best wooden coaster of the trip eluded you. Just gives you another reason to come back! My comments on our day at Cedar Point - Maverick is an excellent coaster and much more "forceful" than I would have expected. The trim after the second launch was kind of a bummer, but it didn't ruin the ride. I just don't understand why they can't lighten up the second launch a little bit to compensate instead using a break. - Cedar Point was having some issues on our visit, but they did pretty good in spite of the rain. When we rode Bluestreak after the rain, they took one train off and got it back up pretty quick. The big buzzkill was Raptor. They would test it for nearly an hour after every rain. - The early entry thing was a disappointment. I have been to CP many times for early entry and never experienced two rides (of three) down in perfect weather. Note: The day started out with very good weather. - Villian and Bobs at Geagua were running better than I have seen in a LONG time, but this was most likely due to the good soaking they got prior to our rides.
  10. Sorry for the delay folks, but here is the Trip Report that I have been promising for a long time now. As many of you probably already knew Catrina (IMAPRINCESS) and I were married on May 5th and we took a honeymoon to the mouse house to celebrate our nuptials. Here are the gory details ... Part I - The Rehearsal and Wedding Friday evening the gang all got together at the church for rehearsal. My niece and nephew look like they will be able to handle this no problem. Catrina and her mom practice their walk down the aisle. "Just think honey ... in less than 24 hours, you will get the pleasure of watching me pass out in front of all our friends and family!" After rehearsal, it was time to head next door to Staffelinos for some grub. My mother, brother and a few old family friends took over one of the tables. The Dessert was especially yummy as you could of guessed. After the rehearsal dinner, what better way to unwind than with some karaoke. Many of our friends joined us for drinks and karaoke including Ang and Kyle. Saturday morning and the big day is finally here. One of my groomsmen, Shaun, receives his required floral ensemble. The girls were treated to Air Conditioning while the men hung outside the church. Catrina taking a break before the big ceremony. The church is waiting to greet all of our friends and family. My dad and stepmother were some of the first to be seated before the ceremony. Shaun helps Catrina's mom light one of the candles. The men have taken their places and are ready to go. Time for the women to enter. Catrina's cousin, Jamie, walks down the aisle. Catrina's sister, Michaela, was the maid of honor. No idea what my nephew is doing here, but the Ringbearer and Flowergirl did eventually make it down the aisle. Here comes the bride! The ceremony is now underway. Just as long as her mom doesn't say no The preacher was excellent and I really wish that I could remember everything he said, but I was mostly concentrating on not falling or doing anything else stupid. Do you Ted ..... Lighting the unity candle. Please don't fall ... please don't fall ... please don't fall ... Flowers and a hug for my new family. You may kiss the bride! I present to you ... Mr and Mrs. Theodore Cromwell! Outside the church, we were attacked by millions of flying bubbles. At this point, I have no idea where we are walking to. Maybe we should get in the limo or something. "I will just drive you around the block so these people can get the hit to go get their drink on" Time to get our drink on in the limo before arriving at the reception. Drinking 40s of Miller High Life. Now that's classy. The Kentucky Derby was on the TV for our trip to the reception hall. Now at the reception hall and it looks like Amy can't wait to get out of the limo. Working with my good friend Carter to make sure that everyone gets announced properly. I know it may seem strange to some people from outside the region, but cookie tables are a must at any Ohio Valley wedding. The cake almost looked too good to eat. The centerpieces were beautiful also. Several of our best coaster friends from around the US made the long trip to WV. Her is Sandi (65Skylark's wife) with their two children, Chad and Ellie. I am sure that no theme park discussions are taking place. Right Paul? The traditional cutting of the cake. I guess that the agreement that Catrina and I had didn't exactly hold up once it got down to it. But what goes around ... comes around. Time to have out first dance as a married couple. The paparazzi was in full effect for the Bridal Dance. Once the floor was opened to everyone it became a real party. See what I mean. The flower toss. The battle ensues for what is left of the bouquet. The guys don't seem to be nearly as motivated as the women. Time to wheel out the cart for the dollar dance. A couple of my coworkers didn't have any interest in dancing with me, but they did force me to partake in a couple shots. As the night went on, it just kept getting weirder. The whole gang. In the end it was a magical day and we are thankful for all the people who made it out to witness it. Disney Honeymoon report coming soon. You can view all the wedding photos at Flickr. Just follow these links. Wedding (Pro Shots) Wedding (Catrina's Camera) Wedding (Ted's Camera)
  11. Congrats Dave. Send my best to Jodi and baby.
  12. It is amazing to me that the ASO has not been sued to date for slander. So much so that I think it is only a matter of time. They release no information on how they gather their data and scientific research is most likely somthing they cannot even fathom. I once made arrangements to interview Jason for CoasterFanatics and after I sent my questions to him, I never heard from him again. Ever. The ASO is a joke and not to be taken seriously. Shame on FOX for lending them any credibility whatsoever. // That is all
  13. I kind of have a special place in my heart for Williams Grove and the Cyclone. Catrina and I made a short stop a couple of years ago and I thought that the Cyclone was hysterical. I love coasters that have little quirky things that set them apart from the rest and Cyclone certainly had that. A ride so volatile that every ride was different and safety was but a pipedream. I will shed a tear when the ride is eventually cast into the abyss know as the Yellow Breeches creek. Not because it was a classic or historical woodie, but instead because it gave me a memory that I won't soon forget. // as I cry, Catrina will cheer loudly at her least favorite park's demise
  14. ^ & ^^ I kind of had that one figured out also. I is just too obvious to ignore. Another thing .... who do you think did John Locke's surgery?
  15. Wes is right. I lived in Florida for a couple years and there is no bread to be found. The best I could muster was to throw some tortillas into a steamer until they got mushy. It was kind of like bread.
  16. I am a pathetic prognosticator.
  17. Actually, I think they may cost more than that. I was just being generous.
  18. Leave it to SFMM to destroy a $7000 sign.
  19. Got my picks in. // Florida beats Ohio State ... again
  20. Agreed. // Can we thaw out Reagan yet?
  21. ^ Nice Glass. I finished off a couple bombers I "exported" out of California last weekend. AleSmith IPA (It's Pretty Awesome) Stone Pale Ale Of course ... both were excellent.
  22. McCain. // If Gore runs ... he will win. You heard it here.
  23. Hey, it's better than my local pool's "White Wednesdays".
