  1. Not much on current events ... are you? // Closed - Please search before starting new topics. Especially when the story is 3 days old.
  2. ^ Nope. Those are them (The Hurricane Trains).
  3. Gary Sinise typically does the dates right around Christmas. I even witnessed the awesomeness myself in 2001. Always wondered why he did those dates. Is his family based around Orlando?
  4. It was great seeing you again, Soren. // Damn. I am an awful enthusiast. I am offered priority access to any attraction and I pick an Ice Cream bar instead
  5. I still haven't posted the honeymoon TR, but here is our Soren credit! Catching up at SFMM 07 The generosity of Soren Hanging with Soren
  6. That is pretty much it. As for TTD and MF, I would plan on leaving ALL things behind. While it may be possible to pass them to someone else it is not very practical. Most of the time the person at the entrance isn't going to let you through with anything too big to put in your pocket. Occasionally (like many here have said) you will get through with something, but it is not the norm in my experiences.
  7. You are It's from Legend. The Villian Train has an open front.
  8. The only thing that is consistent is the inconsistency. I would plan on not carrying any items onto the larger rides. Especially those that don't fit in a pocket. Typically, the coasters that enforce the rule the most are the ones that have the lockers nearby (TTD, MF, Maverick). If you wear glasses, then a black strap will be the greatest investment you ever made at Cedar Point. I have seen ops stop people from queuing because they didn't have a strap and were not wearing cargo shorts. If there are any questions, it is always best to ask the person manning the entrance (fortunately CP has one on most rides)
  9. ^ I will make no such promise Like my new site ... www.onridephoto.com
  10. ^ Apples to Oranges my friend. Steal a crappy photocopy of the $10 bill and now you have a comparison. The value is pretty much equal. That is a GREAT idea. I could totally see Holiday World doing this. New for 2008! - Free Parking - Free Sunscreen - Free Pepsi Products - and now .... Free On-Ride Photos Wanna buy a domain?
  11. Nice report so far, Wes. The best way I can describe Villian is take the trains (and jackhammering) of Hurricane Cat 5 and put them on Ghost Rider. // Tamarack Owns
  12. ^ That is pretty much standard at all Cedar Fair parks. I always found it a little odd as most people wouldn't even think to take a picture there. Well ... maybe everybody except Chuck Berry.
  13. Paging Grizzly ... Your days are numbered
  14. More blood stains. Seriously, this whole time line of events could not have been better scripted. Two of the worst coasters in the world both rise from the ashes to form the ultimate pain inducing super machine.
  15. If you are a first time traveler from the UK, the answer is so obvious that it isn't even on your list. Orlando and Tampa
  16. If everyone posted these type of messages, the board would be completely unbearable. Please plan a little further in advance in the future. Thank you // closed
  17. ^ Rebel Yell is probably one of the few coasters that actually deserve that distinction. I mean ... it pretty much is the start of ACE. So I guess an ACE makes sense there. Interesting thought, but I think it is a little misleading. There may have been more wooden coasters built in the decade prior, but when you look at all coasters there definitely was an upswing after Racer. I don't really doubt the importance of the Racer at PKI (I have seen pictures of people lining down Coney Mall to where the Vortex currently stands to ride it), but I think that awards like this would be best served to award the parks that actually go the extra distance in maintaining their rides. Not the parks who donate money to ACE (most donate admission during Cons) or those who host an event.
  18. Excellent Report! That is a pretty harsh statement. .. but why? When are they going to listen to him? Hysterical! This has pretty much always been my take on Kinzel.
  19. Patience - Guns and Roses
  20. You must be kidding. While the photos may be "copyrighted", they could never be used for any commercial purposes without a model release.
