  1. The Nara Dreamland video was what first brought me to TPR!! As for Nara Dreamland, my only wish was that it stayed open long enough for me to see it, but my visit to Japan last year was too late! Oh well.
  2. I rode this coaster at Nut Tree Park and it is a great family ride. I am really happy to see that it was saved!
  3. Thanks for the Golden Horse coverage!!! You can never get enough info about their spinning mouse coasters. As for the show, your IN DEPTH coverage is second to none. I am so sad that I have to work this week and can't go to the show.
  4. You guys pretty much summed this up. The Happy Valley parks were a great first step at introducing themed parks to China and they have been successful. I think with the size of Shanghai's population, how many people live within a few hours by train and its growing popularity as an international travel destination, it is the perfect city for this park. I also think that it is far enough away from Hong Kong that the two parks should both be viable. I can't wait to see some art work and for construction to get underway!!!
  5. ^No problem Larry. I think it gets missed a lot because it is so hidden back there. Hopefully someone else gets a good picture of it for you.
  6. I have a photo of Banana Split's sign and the ride in the background. I cropped it for the sign and also have the picture where you can see a little of the ride. Banana Split's sign cropped at Gilroy Gardens. Banana Split at Gilroy Garden's
  7. I also agree about Lethal Weapon being one of the roughest coasters ever and that Scooby Doo is AWESOME!!!! Thanks for the trip report!
  8. This is a call out to all New Englanders to find this card. The Red Sox will win the World Series next year and make Big Mike's beloved Yankees fall back down from their pedestal!
  9. Awesome TR so far. I can't wait to see the rest!
  10. Thanks Gerd. It looks like they really went all out with the Halloween decorations.
  11. Just my luck. I have the highest total in the whole league, but play the guy that finishes with the same amount. Had I been playing any other team I have a win right now.
  12. 49ers Defense. 31 Points. R U F***en Serious? My team is cursed. Edit: I wrote a poem/cheer to celebrate the happenings of today. Here we go! Ok! Today was the day. Our chances for a win were good. I think Big Mike even thought that we could. Then Sunday came and the day started well, Before the Rams took the field and shot it all to hell. Thirty-Five to zero they lost to the Niners, And sealed our fate as the Wood Coaster League Whiners! But wait is that Greg Jennings I see? 200 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns on Monday night, could it be? What do you mean Ryan Grant got shut down? I thought Big Mike had won and took me to town. Are you saying my sad team has finally won? I see why people say this Fantasy Football is fun! Thank you Big Mike for this unexpected win, Even if it took an act of god and me giving up all sin!
  13. Another week and another loss for LV ShizatOne. UGGGHHH!
  14. Thanks for the TR. I was just at the park a couple of weeks ago myself. I don't know how you could have liked Stampida though. It is the roughest coaster I have ever been on by far and I have been on some doosies. For me, Stampida made Psyclone and GhostRider look smooth. I agree that PortAventura is a beautiful park, I just wish that they had more uniqueness. It just seems to be your average amusement park with terrific theming. While I am certainly not complaining about this, it would have been nice to see a couple of unique attractions. The only unique coaster there was Furius Baco and while Dragon Khan was ok, I think Superman at Parque Warner is better. Thanks again!
  15. Yes Josh kicked my butt. Team ShizatOne is really stinking right now.
  16. I sooo want to stay in the Big Mike hotel now! Great update.
  17. Considering this is my first Fantasy Football League and I did absolutely no research, I think my team turned out alright. I guess we'll see as the season progresses! Thanks Big Mike.
  18. Thanks for posting this. It makes me wish that I had scheduled some time for this in my upcoming Spain trip. After getting my feet wet on the one at the Great Wall and feeling the insanity at Park City, I can't wait to ride more of these. They are absolutely incredible!!
  19. NO FAIR! NO FAIR! NO FAIR! Big Mike wouldn't give me the extra European Mikestery cards! That's it. I'm coming to the Big Mike Hotel now for sure.
  20. For the person that placed the GD at SCBB behind Roar and GhostRider, I have to disagree. For me it sits slightly behind Terminator as far as wooden coasters in California go. I also agree with everyone as to how suprisingly smooth it is and the beginning tunnel is awesome! I wish both Roar and GhostRider were so smooth.
  21. I have only been on each one of these coasters one time, so I am not knowledgeable of all of the differences, but the one up north seemed a bit faster and more forceful. I would agree that they both are solid and fun coasters and rank highly among wooden coasters in California. Of course there isn't much competition in that category.
  22. I would love to play. That is, if you would have me.
  23. Thanks Robb! Awesome deal.
  24. We usually get ice water a couple of times every visit while at SFMM. I have never been charged, although the employees aren't always enthusiastic about it.
