  1. Now when are they going to fix the leaky roof?
  2. All we can think is that WDI did a wonderful job of TSM at Disneyland with a similar boardwalk theme and to this point TDS has taken every concept and upped it quite a bit, so I have faith that they can pull this off, but I agree a boardwalk theme in that area of the park wouldn't be my first choice. I can't wait to see what this looks like when they finish it. Even though these aren't original attractions, I think they are solid additions to the Tokyo Disney Resort!
  3. Great pictures and captions as always Chuck. I too tried to lick my elbow, but failed. Thanks for sharing.
  4. ^Go ride S:ROS (Bizzaro) or Millennium Force and you will really feel like we got screwed with Goliath! (Although I do agree that the extra helix on Titan makes the ride a little bit better!)
  5. Thanks for a great day Big Mike!!! I am looking forward to the rest of the report. Its funny how those ad trucks kept getting in the background.
  6. ^It was running when I was there a couple of weeks ago.
  7. Thanks Jeff! I love both of the Tokyo Disney parks. Looking at your pictures reminds me of just how fantastic and beautiful Tokyo DisneySea is! Like others have said, I MISS JAPAN!
  8. ^I was in China for the Olympics and those Porta Pottys were state of the art and self cleaning. After every flush soap was automatically sprayed into the bowl. This not only kept everything clean, but kept the bathroom from smelling.
  9. ^^I agree. Pee on yourself! I can't believe that she stopped to go. Crazy!
  10. It definitely was worth the wait. Great job guys! I loved it!!!
  11. ^^Sue I agree with you completely. Margie and Luke need to go!
  12. ^I don't know why, but they use the area under Xcelerator for train maintenance. When I was there a week ago they were working on Xcelerator's 2nd train in that open area. It looked kind of ghetto, but mechanics are better than animatronics aren't they?
  13. ^^^That didn't stop the WHO from raising the pandemic level to 5 today. (2nd highest!) Here is a story. http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/04/29/swine.flu/
  14. Great update Big Mike. I think I would have enjoyed it more if the Yankees didn't suck so much!!! I had the pleasure of watching the Yankees lose a game at the old stadium a couple of years ago and I have to say it was an amazing place. The new stadium looks great, but I fear we lost a great piece of baseball history.
  15. ^I know but it has been reported that this project went over budget and Cars land kept sucking up money (this comes from fan sites like Miceage) so they had to cut some out. I was simply stating that the retheming of the other side of the pier is more important than the wheel's queue area given its increased visibility.
  16. I have seen their parks in Australia and they are beautiful. I have no reason to believe their new water park will be any different and I can't wait to see pictures when this park opens!
  17. ^I'm pretty sure they just ran out of money. The Wheel's queue is mostly hidden from walkers by and they are instead using the money to re-theme the other side of Paradise Pier including Souvenir 66 and Corn Dog Castle and of course the Orange Stinger. While in a perfect world they can do everything, at least the most visible areas are getting re-done for now. IMO that is a big win.
  18. It's possible that they're stored in a place where it would violate TPR rules to show a pic of them. Not saying that's what's happening, just that it's one possibility why there aren't any train pics yet. It sounds to me like this might be a hint. Either way, we should see the trains soon because they need to get this thing testing pretty soon. I was at the park on Thursday and saw it from the sky tower. The ride looks amazing and I can't wait to get on it.
  19. ^That story plus your profile picture = a great visual!
  20. Sunfire - Do you know why Vortex was closed all weekend? I never was able to get the credit and no one was able to tell me why it was closed.
  21. As an example of employee indifference today, when I went to enter the park, I showed the ticket lady my Knott's Berry Farm Platinum Pass and she didn't know anything about it. She then looked at me and told me that it wasn't valid. Finally after asking another co worker I was directed to the Guest Relations window to get a paper ticket. Since this required me going outside of the metal detector area, I was required to wait 15 more minutes to go back through security, even though I asked to be let through, given that I had already passed through once. Perhaps the worst moment of the day for me was when I was walking into the Demon station and was about to pass through the entrance gates, the ride op closed the gates at the last possible moment and than began laughing at me. If he had to close the gates then fine, but it was clear that he was laughing that the gates literally slammed in my face. There were other things, but those were the major ones. The ops on the log ride were friendly though and of course everyone who worked there wasn't bad. It just seemed that there were more rude or indifferent employees than nice ones.
  22. Ok people. I don't want to start a new thread just to ask this so I will put it here. I am visiting Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk tomorrow after Gilroy Gardens. Is it worth me buying a unlimited ride pass at the boardwalk to get multiple rides on the Giant Dipper. I am/have visiting/visited 11 parks this week including Disneyland, DCA, Knotts, CGA, SFDK and the above mentioned parks so I will ride plenty of flats. Should I just pay the money and get the three boardwalk credits and walk around for atmosphere, or invest more money and try to make a few hours out of it? Thanks for the help.
  23. I just got back from my first ever visit to this park. First of all, I have to say it is one of my least favorite parks. There is just something missing atmospherically and the coaster lineup is crap. As for Flight Deck being intense, I just don't feel it. In fact, I think Silver Bullet is much more intense than Flight Deck and it certainly doesn't compare to Batman: The Ride. I say this having been on Silver Bullet two days ago and B:TR at SFMM yesterday. As for coasters, Grizzly is pointless, Demon was really rough, I hate boomerangs (Suspended is worse), the mouse was a mouse, two kiddie coasters were ok and Vortex was closed, so I have to go back tomorrow at opening to get the credit. (I am not happy about that.) Having been to SFDK a few times now, I just don't see how Great America can ever stack up against it. SFDK has a very comparable coaster lineup (better in fact) plus you also have all of the animal exhibits and shows. I am an amusement park lover and have found myself enjoying parks without any major coasters, but something about CGA just rubbed me the wrong way. Now that I have the credits, I wouldn't be sad to see it turned into a shiny new football stadium. And one final thing. Is Cedar Fair the new Six Flags management wise? I swear both Knott's a couple of days ago and CGA today reminded me operationally of Six Flags in their worst days. The employees at both parks were unhelpful and down right rude at times. Has it always been this way at CGA? I know Knott's seemed different than my previous visits.
  24. ^I will PM you the code. You must paste it into your signature in your profile.
  25. ^And on top of all that she has already completed 3 out of the 4 things since she has your banner in her signature and she took a picture with you at WCB! Here I was thinking that I could win this contest, only to get stabbed in the back by my own wife and son! This is one competitive house that I live in!
