^^^I was at the park on Saturday and it was crazy busy! Despite the huge crowds the staff kept the park relatively clean. Perhaps the reason they are so profitable now is the new water bombs that they installed on Log Jammer. During the 5 minutes we spent in that area an average of 4 out 6 of the bombs were used on every log. It seems like that would add up to quite a bit of money over the day. While I am just kidding about this being responsible for the park doing well financially, it certainly is a small thing that not only makes the park money, but gives people loads of cheap entertainment. Everyone there on Saturday enjoyed watching the people in the logs get soaked.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

I also saw Terminator for the first time this past weekend and was impressed by its size and the way it stand prominent in that section of the park. On Saturday they were cycling Deja Vu all day, but it didn't open while we were there. The park was incredibly busy on Saturday with long lines for everything. Thanks for the update Robb. I can't wait to get back there this coming weekend! -
Happy Birthday Elissa! I can't wait to meet you next week.

^^^I hope they either get rid of the Mickey head behind the loop or redecorate it. I was also under the impression that it was going to go. It just doesn't look right to me. Either way, the new Paradise Pier sign looks beautiful and I am sure it will look even better lit up at night. I'll be there on Sunday and I can't wait to see it in person!

^Not that Mike can't defend himself, but I just don't see why you come into this thread to be negative. If you don't like Big Mike then just stay away. There is no need to insult him in any way. This has been going on for months with you and it seems that all I see you post are negative things about Big Mike. Let the man live his life. I for one can't wait to make my debut in this thread!!!

Theme Park Review's 2008 Asia Tour!
packfanlv replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^Yes Journey does essentially use the same vehicle system as Test Track. I also believe the next generation of this technology will be used at DCA for Carsland. Of course as you said theming wise Test Track does not compare to Journey. While I agree with Robb that Journey is the near perfect ride, my only complaint is that its too short. Of course, I wouldn't be complaining about this if the ride wasn't awesome. After it was over I found myself wanting more. I loved practically every ride at DisneySea. From Journey, to the "ToT With The Far Superior Story" and even the 20,000 League "submarines". I can't believe how many "E" ticket attractions they have put into that park and the atmosphere is truly amazing. Perhaps my biggest surprise was how much I loved Sinbad. We walked around the park for two days singing the lyrics, "The compass of your heart" simply because that is the only English portion of the song. With them still having land in the back of the park for expansion and the rumors of Toy Storia Midway Mania coming to the American Waterfront, it seems that DisneySea will just keep getting better and better. Thanks for the great update. Shawn "I am a Tokyo Disney Fanboy" Coomer -
^^Oh so you are still looking at the reports with hot bikini girls! Oh to be a BMRS virgin again! ^I do believe he will open up the 2009 road show at WCB. Hopefully he will make my year and let me check off the t-shirt either at WCB or when he visits Las Vegas later in the summer. (HINT HINT!) That would bring tears to my eyes!

Having grown up in SoCal I pretty much agree with everyone about its cons. Robb, given what you said above: If you could choose anywhere, where in the world would you live given your extensive experiences?

^^Believe it or not we found great sushi in Japanese supermarkets. Since the Japanese are always on the run, they buy it up in the morning to eat for lunch. 90% of it was gone by 9am. It was fresh, delicious and reasonably priced.

Deaf people can't really tell people how they're feeling (except with sign language), so they tend to exaggerate expressions to get their point across. Or at least, that's my understanding. Thanks for explaining why his expressions were a little over done. I wasn't aware of that and I understand better now. I felt a little bad for him with the name thing as well, but he made it through. It was hard to watch how hard he is on himself.

Based on your hint I would say some sort of bubble.

or a "blue ball"

IMO both Kong & Mind Eraser are both incredibly rough. Whoever said that Kong is a smooth SLC hasn't ridden it in a while.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

^Roar at SFDK is an ok ride, but I wouldn't call it great or even good. While it isn't "kick your ass" rough, I definitely wouldn't describe it as smooth either. With that said, I have heard that it was much better when it opened. I am sure some of the roughness comes from maintenance issues. -
I would say a bowling ball.

Photo TR: Six Flags Over Georgia

I'm glad to hear that SFOG employees are friendly. My only visit a couple of years ago was just before kids got out of school and they seemed to be understaffed but the staff they had was great. I really LOVED Goliath but that was a few years ago. Maybe something has changed. Thanks for the great TR! (Oh and the drop tower is awesome and Ninja is perhaps the single most painful coaster I have ever been on!) -
^^Hmm, I can hear the wheels spinning. I also doubt any adult can get on this ride. It is Las Vegas after all and the ride ops are being watched at all times. Who knows though. If anyone can pull it off than it is you Big Mike!
