I completely disagree with this. IMO the most complete of all of the Disney parks is either Disneyland or Tokyo Disneyland, but lets just focus on the domestic parks. Disneyland has every major attraction that The Magic Kingdom has plus a much fuller Fantasyland and a real Toontown. If only Disneyland had the space that the Magic Kingdom does. That is why I love TDL so much, it mixes Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom so well. As for Nemo, I wish they would've just spent $60 million at Disneyland for the Epcot version of the ride and left the rest of the budget for something else. As much as I love the subs, that ride just doesn't feel E Ticket to me. Ok, back to DCA, as Robb said, "The park looks bad!"

^I agree with Robb. Paradise Pier does look horrible right now and they are supposed to start ripping up the front entrance soon which will make it even worse. I guess since I have been to DCA so many times, its current state doesn't bother me because I know it is improving and I have had the DCA experience many times before. For people visiting the park for the 1st or 2nd time, I can't see how they wouldn't be disappointed, especially when the whole entrance area goes under the knife.

I agree with Robb about In 'N Out being overrated, but I do love Tommy's.

Pooh at TDL is certainly awesome. On our first day at the park we went straight for the Pooh Fastpass and had to wait in a 15 minute line just to get one. Our return time was already late in the afternoon! The Japanese know how to maximize the fastpass system. Thanks for the pics!

Speed: The Ride in Las Vegas .... Closed?
packfanlv replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm happy that its going to reopen. I haven't ridden Speed since 2000 when it first opened and I think its time for a second go around. Thanks for the picture. -
SFNO/Jazzland Discussion Thread

^^Wow JJ. Thanks for all of the hard work and research. I can't believe the grammatical errors in his postings. I still wish that I had visited SFNO before the hurricane, but you can't win them all. -
^I think the show would be much better if they actually brought in a group who were real chefs. Ramsay could still go off when they screw up, (which would be less often) but you would actually learn more about being a chef and cooking. I am a bigger fan of The F Word and Kitchen Nightmares because Ramsay is a lot less over the top. Even the American Kitchen Nightmares is made a lot more dramatically, which I am sure is what Fox wants. It will be interesting to see what NBC's new show "The Chopping Block" will be. I wonder if they will copy Hell's Kitchen or try something different. The chef on that show is the one who replaced Ramsay in the British version of Hell's Kitchen.

"Disney Parks" reorganization
packfanlv replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Jay Rasulo is the head of Disney Parks and the mastermind of managing and marketing the parks as one unit. Since he is still there, I think this just means that the two U.S. resorts will continue receiving clones of each others rides and nothing unique. The generic Disney Parks marketing is unfortunate IMO as well. -
Theme Park Review's 2008 Asia Tour!
packfanlv replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
In my opinion the story in the Tokyo TOT is far superior to the Twilight Zone versions. The story is told so well, that even though everything is in Japanese, no translation is needed. I was so surprised by how they could take what was already one of my favorite rides and make it so much better. -
Theme Park Review's 2008 Asia Tour!

^^^^We experienced the same thing with Curry Popcorn. The smell is fantastic, but there was always a long line so we didn't try it. Toyko Disney is perhaps on my top 5 of favorite places on earth. Thanks Robb! -

Shane this looks amazing. We are planning on visiting Lagoon during the summer. I hope this is done by then so we can stop by and see it. Thanks for sharing the details here. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
packfanlv replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
It is my 200th credit and one of the better SLCs I have ridden, but it has nothing to do with SFMM! Here is Vortex's listing on RCDB. http://rcdb.com/id3715.htm -
^I was thinking the same thing. How did you not get kicked out?
-
^^I thought the same thing. Perhaps it was in the rules that you couldn't roll them down intentionally and that is why no one did it.

Yah 700 feet is pretty extreme. I bungee jumped in New Zealand from 250 feet and almost had a severe panic attack before jumping. Kudos to them for not freaking out more than they did! I was also glad to see who was eliminated. You could just tell that they were going to be drama.

Luke running down the hill out of control was perhaps one of the funniest things I have ever seen! That cheese rolled down the hill so damn fast. I love The Amazing Race!

Thanks for the pictures Robb! I can't wait to see this next month a WCB. At the pace they are constructing it, the structure may be almost complete by then. -
Thanks guys. This is a top notch TR! Eric we visited in May of 2007 and the Gran Fiesta Tour had just opened, so it must have closed for the change over shortly after you visited.

1990's website design rocks! This inspired me to look up my old AOL Homepage on the internet archive that was dedicated to my favorite team! (All hand coded by me BTW!) http://web.archive.org/web/19981206073722/http://members.aol.com/Anonymou00/pack.html

^I agree with Eric. That is exactly how I pictured it in my mind! Happy Birthday TPR Forums!
-
^That is awesome. There are also two other parts to look at as well. Thanks!

^Oh that is just too much!
