  1. I have received $12 in donations since I posted this. Please keep the donations coming! Thanks TPR!
  2. I am feeling a little crazy today, so for every $1 that is donated to my page by 8pm Pacific tonight, I will personally donate $.50 up to $100. I am currently at $55 meaning that if I get to $255 I will donate $100 bringing it up to $355. Thanks for all of the help and support from everyone.
  3. I am going to say Sky Rocket at Kennywood!
  4. I finally got around to taking in your ENTIRE WCB trip report and all I can say is, "WOW"!!! You guys outdid yourselves. I am just so happy that Shawn Reece and I played a small part in it!
  5. ^^Ok I donated $5 to her to make an even $200!!!
  6. I just want to officially thank Ben Wheeler for being the first to donate to my page!!!
  7. Ok I went to my computer and was able to register. The site must have a problem with the iPad. My page url is: https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/shawncoomer/KnottsBerryFarm I can't wait to do this! It looks like a lot of fun!
  8. I keep trying to register and it just hangs at the Processing your registration screen after I put in my credit card information. Has anyone else run into this problem? I am using Safari on my iPad.
  9. Great report Dan! As always it was thoroughly amusing.
  10. Great trip report! My family and I had the pleasure of visiting these two parks back in 2007 and we were blown away. I wasn't expecting such nice parks in the middle of nowhere in Guatemala! Thanks again for sharing with us!
  11. As a general rule I avoid people as well, but cruises are so peaceful. I never feel crowded. It really is a peaceful way to travel!
  12. My guess is they will probably salvage it and transfer the ship to another one of their lines. I don't think there is any way they will completely scrap it, but with so many other lines, I don't see them keeping the same name given all of the bad press and the fatalities.
  13. Not to change the subject, but Elissa how do your parents like Princess? We might have an opportunity to sail out of San Juan this year and the options are Carnival, Princess and Celebrity. For some reason the Celebrity ship is priced at lot higher for the particular dates we need, so I am learning towards Princess. Thanks for any insight!
  14. I got the Blu-ray combo pack. Thanks Robb!
  15. Thanks again for the great coverage! That GCI Big Fun looks really good. I can't wait to hear which park builds it first!
  16. I have been spending the entire day trying to figure out how to say Zierer properly! Thanks for the great coverage! Elissa would make a terrific reporter.
  17. I agree with Elissa that this park seemed cheaply built to me back in 2008. Your pictures do look like they have kept it up though. The new coaster looks nice, but did they theme it at all or did they just give up on that? Thanks for the trip report. I have really enjoyed reading it!
  18. Discovery Cove looks amazing and is definitely on my "must do" list. Thanks Scott!
  19. I visited Wuhan Zhongshan Park and thought it was quite nice, but never heard of the other park. I actually really liked that jungle mouse and how it seems the trees had engulfed the coaster. Thanks for the report!
  20. ^^Oh what is this world coming too! Anyways, I think a drop tower would make a nice addition, but like others I can't wait to find out what the next new coaster will be for SFMM. I say there is no way they are not going 500 feet. No way!
  21. ^^The corkscrew at Flamingoland certainly has a padding issue, but I wouldn't call it rough. If they would just dial down the padding it would be doable IMO.
  22. Yeah I agree that buying a home is a good thing when the situation fits it. Of course I sold my home in the top of the market and came back and bought when things were lower, but I think ownership is a good thing. The way I afford things is by not overspending. I own two cars outright and have a house payment that is less than $600 per month because I didn't buy a house that I can afford, but one that I could pay for while also saving a lot of money. Having low expenditures = freedom. This is something that a lot of people fail to realize.
  23. I can honestly say, having been on over 500 coasters, that the Coney Island Cyclone (In the back seat) takes the cake as the single roughest and scariest coaster experience of my life. After the first drop I just wanted to cry and wasn't sure if I would survive!!!
  24. The Canyon Blaster at the Adventuredome of course!
  25. I got the, "I was obscured by the waitress without Hooters credit" in this picture!
