Track Spottings!
terrancew_hod replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You know, I know plenty of strippers and porn stars... even party with them and sometimes walk in on them doing naughty things when they're "off duty". I say... "Bigth deal". Past "been there, done that". Oh and newsflash: They think we're not cool. Luckily I have no sense and give an awesome backrub that they love. It's almost orgasmic, I've been told. (Which I've responded "And that's only my hands" ) I'm done. I need coffee and off to tackle my boyfriend after he just farted in my face and ran into the other room since I'm online instead of paying attention to him. Terry -
I'm probably a few weeks away (at this rate) from getting enough together for any type of teaser. Between work, gym and my sad attempt at dating (just got off the phone with the BF, so there won't major changes to the ride tonight; I'll be on the crappy laptop again at his house instead of going home. He teases because he has the nice shiny Macbook and I got a crappy Dell! It's not fair!)... it's been slow going. But it gives me a chance to change parts I don't like and give more thought into how I want the ride to run. Another issue is I have to build some type of entrance into the park, so I can enable the free flying camera for the teaser. I haven't decided how much of the other sections to show, but it's more likely will be just the haunted woods and the bridge connecting to this attraction that will be available in this park file. I'm still toying around with the name of the dark ride, maybe something like "Fear: Escape of the Cursed".... yep, that's cheesy... but not as bad as my ripoff off Tomb Raider... Keisha Jones and the Tomb of Bounced Checks... I need some custom scenery for her character and Lil Ray-Ray... oh and her baby daddy. I had better luck with naming my Party themed rides, which will be my next project when I finished this. Those rides include the flagship dark ride/ coaster "Circuit:Alegria" (working on the mix now and version 1 of the track is finished,), drop ride "Down the G-Hole", and dark ride "Chill-ax". Also one of my friends may supply some trippy graphics to place in the rides... I'm not supplying glow sticks though. But I'll probably need to learn how to do custom scenery to add a few additional items. But I right now I'm focused on finishing this... I'm a Taurus.... 'nuff said. Terry

Track Spottings!

^Are we taking over this thread with spanking too? Kerry & Dave, Don't fight! Unite! I'm gonna have to pull out the big guns to punish you two! Oh Monica Lewinski needed to sing this back in the day. EDIT: I had to replace the video since the other didn't allow embedding. This video is worse! In the other video those Dolly Madison flats she had on her feet were getting on my last nerve! EDIT AGAIN: I just looked at that video. Too many damn things are going on that stage! I don't know what's worse: the dancers doing 15 different things at the same time, the rude fashions, the train wreck dance solo, or Vanity's slew-foot dancing! A FULL Dogs! At least she's got a real heel on her foot this time. Terry -

I'll buy the Wii fit for $10. I'm good for it. I know you ain't stepped on it since you got back from your cruise. I'll have to spank you for reals the next time I see you! Terry P.S. What's this about yellow tracks in Ohio? I know the ghetto girls are coloring their badly attached cheap extensions, but is it getting that out of hand there? Jolene assumed since Tamika was a... err... "woman of color", she could do extensions. Tamika had her looking like "Crazy" Britney at the MTV Music Awards! -
^I doubt this will be a single ride project; and I think I can put a few indoor rides in the area without killing the themeing. These rides won't overshadow the main attraction of this "land", which is what I'm working on now. But the overall park will consists of three main areas (so far), which still need some names: * The village (includes the main street) * Sir Debbilyn's Castle (Where my "party" rides will be built) * Ruined Castle/Tomb (Featuring my "Cursed" coaster that I'm currently building) There will be some flat rides in the haunted forest/area between the castles Chances are these will be three separate parks due to the constraints of RCT3, but that's what I'm shooting for. I may not get that far in the work, but this is the scope of what I want to accomplish. Terry

Well if the subterranean cities don't have a White Castle, I'm not interested. Terry

Time for another quick update! I have a little mix of updated and new pics. I'm trying to add restaurants and work on the castle structure in front, so there aren't a lot of cute areas in front right now. I think I will put a few rides in the area as well to fill out the front as well. Now the splashdown area in Hell is properly filled in! "What manner of foul sorcery is this? It has an 8-track player!" Another overhead picture of the underground river. So far on this coaster, there are only two places you can safely take pictures. The first was outside in the courtyard, and this is the second. I'm planning on adding a few shops and seats for peeps for peeps sit down, eat and relax.

Park Is Dead
terrancew_hod replied to the ghost's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^I'm thinking this may be the case. I think ghost has two or three active threads going on at this point; maybe a small park with just a few rides may be enough to keep his attention and the park manageable. It does seem like the park tends to get corrupted after only a little work is done; if he is getting bored or running out of ideas, it may be better just to let the thread die quietly than draw anymore attention to it. Park Is Dead

Am I wrong in saying that maybe playing RCT2 isn't your thing? I mean how many times has this happened? Honestly, if you can't bring back this park maybe you should take a break from posting any parks until you learn how to consistently play the game without getting the park files corrupted. Once or twice, we can understand; but this is heading into about the sixth or seventh time of the same thing happening. I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from. Terry -
You know, this is precisely why the mods want you to make progress on your park before you announce it. Having little more than a lift hill when others have put hours in on their rides before announcing it isn't fair to them. Honestly, this wasn't worth the web space used. I'm hoping in your next effort that you have your park well underway before you announce it. Terry

The "Preview" Thread
terrancew_hod replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Actually, Terry, I use grammatical mistakes to hint upcoming attractions in my RCT parks. For instance, I occasionally misspell 'would' as 'wood' when suggesting that a new wooden coaster is on the way. I don't use quotation marks, though. You wouldn't consider my grammar to be bad, would you? No I don't. But there's the answer to using intentional mistakes... use quotes! That way people know you're purposely misspelling something. Terry -
@ PointeBreak: The option.txt trip allows you to overlay tracks so it looks like tracks intersect, one track type switches to another or in the case of the water, the track going into a underground river . @ themeparkman25 : I've taken a few overhead shots and there's a lot going on for a 5 minute ride. But when I showed my friends the amount of work on this park, their jaws dropped... and one begged me to fix his mac so he can get back to the game (Apple's quicktime update messed up the program.. so I upgraded him to Leopard and the last working version of Quicktime). I'm going to try to work on the park in a bit after a nap... but I've been going since 7:30 this morning upgrading so I need a little shuteye! Terry

The "Preview" Thread
terrancew_hod replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^Possibly, but then if he was doing a play on words it should have quotes around the "red", like: This way, you get that I'm implying the word "Red" and you still get the phonetic sound of "ready". I'm giving less slack because of the fact the graphic was done in Photoshop; between changing the font, position and color, you have more than ample opportunity to catch glaring errors. Now my grammar is far from perfect, but you can tell the intent of what I did better. And you only get that from paying attention in school. I think you need to watch your spelling. Misspelling "ready"... there really isn't any excuse for this. And I'm see this happening a lot with our high school kids. Are you guys not paying attention in school and texting your friends instead? By your age, I learned the meaning (and spelling of) "serendipity". I'd hate to see some of the younger kids try to tackle this! Not trying to be mean, but a lot of kids need to start running their text through some type of spelling checker before posting. It's getting really bad. Terry -
Ok, it's time for a Friday update! Last night, I revisited this sad piece of real estate: I had already smoothed down the blocks but not much has happened to this area. Since I need to start closing this area up, I wanted to go back and add a few things... After I fix the other things below, it's back to work on this... the only way out is down? Again? Last look... Now to fix the walls around the Waterbearer statue... Do we need another splash down? I think this will exceed the minimum acceptable amount of wetness! I have to add lights but, the track-on-track trip makes this scene work even better. Now we have a little better entrance to the Waterbearer... looks like she's made the place a bit more cozy! Now let us put it all together now. Bye Bye demons! (We hope) A closer look. Then we build a proper escape route from Hell... First thing: Let make this save by the Waterbearer a little more splashy!

So... what does this have to do with spanking 10 days later? You know, to be honest, I'm not believing the "BPB is using us as scapegoats for their mistakes and using lawyers against as a smokescreen argument." Lawyers cost money and BPB doesn't send them out unless they feel that the content of the site may be harmful to their name or reputation, with your site may have fallen foul of. Back to the fun topic...

Well I got home and worked a bit more on my coaster. I continued worked in the general Warrior Crypt/Haunted Pond area. I have several scenes overlapping in this general area, so I worked on trying to hide them from each other. So I don't have a lot of pictures, but pictures I have hide two very nasty surprises for our unsuspecting vic... err... guests! A tower sits on the edge of the haunted pond. What secrets does it hold? Is it a gateway to another dimension? Or from? There has been whispers that it is actually larger inside that it is outside, but no one has been brave enough to find out! What's the best way to hide transitions between scenes, especially ones that come later in the ride? Dark tunnels with evil ghosts! Or did we jump the track (or shark) and end up at Ghost Mine with everyone else that copied his ride? Our evil ghost host, starts making his appearance in various parts of the ride. I'm envisioning that you will hear him taunt you long before you see him... once you start seeing him it will be too late for you to turn back!

RCT3 Parks
terrancew_hod replied to Achterbahn2009's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I believe we have a thread for this already... it's the Preview Thread: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=47259 If you want to highlight continuous work on your park, just follow the guidelines here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=47124 Terry -
I think the point should be at work "Keep it professional". It's not about hiding who you are, but keeping the tone to the business at hand. Save the really personal stuff for after hours. Not everyone wants to know your business, whether it's a straight man's conquests, a failed romance, someone's religious or political views, trouble at home, or the fact you have a crush on someone in the workplace (which is a big no-no anyway). Besides, many people in your workplace aren't really your friend and will just collect info to use against you. Be careful what you dish out. A lot of people learn that the hard way. That's what you really want to keep in mind. Do your job, keep the conversation light and drama-free, and collect the check. You'll have a better working environment and career that way. Terry
