  1. Somebody call in Gerd so he can find a way to spice up the 'meatloaf'! Terry
  2. Like my roommate says "Life is hard." I doubt "Please excuse the caps because that's all I can do at work" will fly when everyone else is posting properly (some even at work), so let's not pick this as something to complain about. Accidents are one thing and sure it sounds mean, but really. You can't see what you're typing in caps and not know? Terry
  3. I should send this thread to my roommate, the " Chilean Rachel Ray". He loves watching people cook and enjoy new recipes. Great thread! Terry "Stuck watching the Food Channel when my roommate's home" Weaver
  4. ^This isn't work though. He should post like everyone else or wait until he gets home if the machine he isn't on doesn't do lowercase (which I have doubts about). I remember one person on another forum used the excuse I can't see so I type in all caps... I posted a link to turn on the Accessibility Wizard in Windows. "You should be able to see the screen properly after you set this so you don't hurt your eyes or mine." Terry
  5. ^ I figured since Obama won, we can put the images of black folk eating chicken like they've lost their minds and the gang references away for now. Try to look at the peeps in new light. Don't make me petition for a bill on Capitol Hill... (almost sang the rest of that rap song! Oops!) Terry "I hate Watermelon too" Weaver
  6. Well it's been a while since my last update! I've been still working to fill in the outside areas, though I forgot to look into the suggested brick! I'll try to do that for the next update: The church at night. I did a lot of work on the return back to the station. Now there is a beginnings of a church. Also I used some raft track to make a creek at the bottom. Heading back to the station. Inside the unfinished area. See anyone familiar? Overhead view... Another view of the bridge to the Dark Temple. The obligatory dive into the fire... Here's the lift into the first act... Lots of work needs to be done here! Another view Just to show the scope of what I've done, this is the rough construction of the ride front and Act One to the left; you can't see 2 or 3... I may need a better video card for this! That's it for this time! Well here is the tentative name of the ride: FEAR. After this I'm betting the riders will be glad to get off! Another view of the new hallway to the station.
  7. The only thing that would have made it complete was to recommend that a backup should be made in case the file gets corrupted. Terry
  8. ^South L.A.? Dude. It's a park with a wall being torn down... not the ghetto in South L.A. South L.A. doesn't even look like that. And where exactly did the gang reference come from? Obviously I'm not seeing the same thing you are. Terry "You 'gets' a FAIL too" Weaver
  9. ^So what you are saying is that if we want to ride any rides, we'd better get up there quick when it reopens? Terry
  10. ^Joe should make some creative shortcuts with established recipes... similar to this: We can have a "Goofus and Gallant"-style approach to recipes here! Terry
  11. ^Hmmm. Black person eating chicken. Laughs ahoy. FAIL. Let's try something a little less stereotypical:
  12. ^There are medicinal purposes for it and it is far less destructive and addictive than someone downing a few beers and getting behind the wheel of a car. (Although that stuff is worse on your lungs than smoking cigarettes) Because of several people I know that are HIV-positive and use it to help them with the symptoms of their medication, I have no problem with it being legalized. Anyway, as for your friend, you need to ask him why he think it needs to be legalized. If his reasons are just to party, then he needs to stop talking about it all the time... he might just be a pothead. Terry
  13. ^Ginzo's in med school... (correct me if I'm wrong) So I'm sure the idea didn't fly. Maybe a clinical registry that tracks his thresholds would be better to track his progress over time. Terry
  14. I was over my dominatrix friend's house working on her new laptop: Me: It looks like the screen is 17 inches. Miss Laura: Let me check (pulling out measuring tape). Yep it's 17 inches. Me: (Look confused to why she has measuring tape in her room) Miss Laura: Oh. This keeps the men honest when they come over here. I charge them extra for getting my hopes up with their lies. Me: Terry
  15. ^You saved me from having to say something similar. If something doesn't make sense to you, ask instead of constantly doing it. But somehow, I'm thinking Yankee was told about it and he thought it was stupid and did it anyway... earning the extra detentions. Terry "Two sides to every story" Weaver
  16. ^I probably wouldn't since I have never done it, voluntarily anyway. (An aunt sticking a wig on your head when you're 6 doesn't count!) I'm usually the designated photographer that catches them at their "low" moments. Besides I know enough "girls" that do it professionally and have walk-in closets and storage lockers full of stuff. If they don't have that much stuff to show for it, then they're...ahem... "sniffing" away their tips and booking money. Terry
  17. I know this isn't your first time "Dolled up"... with that Loni Anderson hair! As it's said among my female impersonation friends: "You're feeling yourself on that pic!" (Means you're really into the illusion) Terry
  18. ^Actually, I was looking into playing around with doing some custom scenery for my next coaster (possibly my current coaster as well since I have some photos I need to get ready for my next update). Maybe I can experiment with it this weekend... that is if I can give the "Gay Werewolf" comic panels I worked on this week a rest! My porn friends liked what I had anyway! Terry
  19. ^AMEN. I graduated with a 3.833... guess what? I had no cellphone and didn't get into trouble either. I agree with the others, there is no reason to have a cellphone in class. You are there to learn. Turn the phone off. You don't need it. Really. People have gotten along fine without them around. I think it's more an addiction to being "connected" than anything else. Besides judging by the text-oriented typing so many people that use now, they need to put the phone down and pay attention in class. It's really getting ridiculous. If someone needs to reach you in an emergency, they should have the number of the school's office on speed dial. There's absolutely no reason for you to have it in class. Leave it in your locker and learn something. Cell phones are really a distraction and some people use them in the rudest of situations. The guy I'm dating took twice as long to finish cutting the yard because he kept stopping to pick up the phone or text his friends. I finally started yelling at him and threatening to leave if he didn't put the phone down and hurry the heck up. I've also seen when people are having a conversation and someone will just pick up the phone while someone is talking to them to text someone. I yelled "Excuse me. I'm talking to you. Put the phone away!" Terry EDIT: I think the biggest problem in the school is the lack of parental guidance so many of these kids have and the teachers have to spend time trying to get order in the class. I've heard so many stories from ex-teacher on how bad these kids are now and their hands are tied because they can't discipline them like they used to when I was in school. See if they have the proper discipline then these kids would know better than to bring their phones in and text while the teacher is trying to teach them something, acting up when they should be sitting down and learning, etc. See more kids would behave because they knew that they would have to face their parents if they acted up in school.... and in some instances that teacher would have a paddle with their name on it if they didn't behave. Just knowing it was in the drawer was enough for the people to pay attention to what the teacher was saying. But back then, you didn't have everyone trying to do anything but learn.... but maybe they would doodle... (ok I'm guilty of that one... but then I was getting an A in the class anyway!).
  20. Great what you had so far. I know it takes a lot of time to work on a park; I haven't had a chance to work on my park this week due to some shifting priorities... and learning how to use this 3D modeling program to make things I can't publish unless I put up an 18+ warning! Anyway, are you just working on the exteriors or making any rides in the park? Terry
  21. Some drag queen did a funny number as Monica; she used "Pretty Mess" by Vanity since it fit so well. The queen kept getting smeared with different things by a man in a Bill mask, then he splashed her down with a big bowl of milk... Terry "Such a pretty mess, he made such a pretty mess of my dress... OH YEAH!" Weaver
  22. ^Besides if they don't like what you like, how do you expect to do anything together? Some of my friends, dates and acquaintances said my coaster hobby was stupid, which prompts me to go though a list of their bad habits and flaws... which makes them get mad and fume. I end it with "my other hobby is 'reading'. Now shut the hell up." EDIT: On the relationship front, the person I'm seeing is more a friend now than anything else. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't bother me and I'm kind of relieved. He's going to Orlando this weekend (probably to the parks) and I'm staying home and trying to relax and get my workout going again! Yay! Terry
  23. ^I tend to miss calls because my phone is always on vibrate, which is the polite thing to do. Nothing more irritating than some silly ring tone going off loudly in a public place... even worse when several go off at the same time. Save the rings when you're at home! Terry
  24. Just saw this: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sfl-0219-octo-mom-foreclosure,0,7724414,print.story Poor grandma. You know she went under trying to take care of irresponsible Octo-mom's kids. That's why you can't have just anyone staying in your place... not even your kids if they start messing up. A coworker was having an issue with her daughter... a year after she moved out, she was was trying to move back in after the place she rented went into foreclosure. The mom warned her to get out of the place and put her stuff in storage while she looks for another place and the daughter played around and didn't listen. So one day the daughter went home and all her stuff was on the curb... and some stuff got stolen. When she came to her mom crying the mom told her that she could only stay two weeks and none of her stuff can be put in her house... that's so the daughter won't get comfortable. The daughter got mad and went into some kind of shelter. The mom didn't want to have her stuff broke up and go into debt because of her daughter... so she didn't feel bad for her decision. I didn't think it was mean because I've had my share of worthless people trying to stay in my house costing me money and not taking care of their business. Terry
  25. ^It irks me when people complain about the drama in their lives and you see them diving right into it and creating it. If you constantly thrive in it, don't complain... you must like it deep down. If you remember nothing else, keep this gem. Terry
