^My friends and I would just use a made-up feminine name that describes them. When my old roommate got arrested by the FBI for using someone else's Social Security Number on an airline security form, we referred to him as "Felonia". When my ex started dating this ugly guy with braids, my best friend said he looked like "the Predator"... thus his new name became "Predtina" . This then became a name for anyone fitting this description. Doesn't work all the time though. Felonia's husband is just named Quark because he looked like him... big ears and jagged teeth! Terry

My roommate still takes calls (barely) from a mutual drama-filled ex-friend. I stopped talking to him almost two years ago. Anyway, how many people would continue to hang around with someone that treated you bad, burned your kitchen down after falling asleep while heating cooking oil for french fries (not paying one cent for the repairs), then steals your other friends motorbike joyriding and crashes it in the parking lot... and goes to jail for it (still not paying for repairs... not to mention the owner didn't have one dollar's worth of insurance)? Well my ex-friend does... I can't deal with that much drama. My ex friend goes into how this guy got married and has a kid on the way... and he's fooled around with several of my friends. Well my roommate says "Wait... you're still talking to that fool? I gotta go." And hangs up on him.... and pours a glass of wine. He tells me the story and I say my typical "A mess" comment, grab a beer from the fridge, and change the subject. Too much. Terry

^Also it didn't take almost two weeks for them to show up. I still stand by what I say. Looking at his two other parks, this is nowhere near the progress of the other two. His other parks were pretty much up and going within a day or two of the thread starting. There's really nothing here to warrant a thread when the forum rules say that park threads are supposed be started after progress has been made... Oh and the "not to be a bother" part was my way of trying to make it sound nicer. I tried. Terry

^Basically Milli Vanilli was singing over a remixed version of a rap song... was it "Paid in Full"? (not sure, don't care really). I liked the music of the original but was not fond of the rapping, so this was a compromise. If I had the computer software back then, I would just take the instumental parts and just loop it and eliminate both of them. I remember when they offered money back for the album; I just kept mine. Another scandal that I thought was even worse was C&C music factory and Black Box. I remember when Zelma Davis got on stage after accepting the Grammy for the C&C album and started to sing. I said "That's great that you could actually sing, but that STILL isn't you on that record!" This was the real singer in C&C music factory, Martha Wash... who was also one of the singers of Weather Girls, ("It's raining Men"). They finally credited her and added "Visualized by" in the music videos but she didn't get much credits as she should have. That gal could BLOW! blackbox.bmp Blackbox also used the same girl from C&C for most of the tracks. Except from one by Joyelyn Brown. Well there was two, ahem, reasons why I liked this group. But the girl wasn't the one that actually sang "Everybody Dance Now".

Not to be a bother, but where are your rides? I think you've had the thread long enough to have something. I really think, at the risk of sounding mean, people creating park threads and only showing an entrance, random buildings or a parking lot is getting old. This is not fair to others actually creating threads with decent progress on their parks before they make their first post. Remember, there are guidelines on park threads that I don't think you met yet. I see on the Atari forum they moved your park back to parks area after the last update, so I'm mirroring the comment you got there, even if it's a bit more pointed. But I really think people should have their park underway before posting so that we don't waste space on updates between buildings and a few tables added. This also keeps the number of threads down where someone begins something and loses their interest after not creating much. Terry

I know somebody bought this back in the day... I pull this out every holiday season. The Christmas and New Years medleys are the ultimate disco jams! I don't have this, but I posted it for giggles... the real singers from the first album are on the left and right ends... it never made it out of Germany, but it seems the record company didn't learn its lesson by trying to stick video-friendly singers in the group. Just let the ugly guys sing for heaven's sake! They deserved the real shot instead of having to put up with the sham! "Girl you know it's true... oooh oooh ooooh...."

Well it's almost been a week since an update! I've been making more tweaks to the ride and enclosing more areas as well. Hopefully I will have more time this weekend to work on the ride. I need a good day at home to make any progress, and I'm not getting there when I'm on my old laptop. Luckily I'm trying to save up for a new one! Even an new Macbook would be better... but I'm shooting for a new Macbook Pro! Terry I've also added parts of the demon temple I've previously created to the ride. It was a bit long, so I had to cut out part of the back to make it fit. Another view of the crypt with the fake wall opening. Another room to close off and theme. We leave the sewer to the next area... But where does it lead... I think the soon-to-be victims will find out! I added a small sewer to take us even further down... Which way is up? Dark hallways are never a good thing. This looks familiar.... Boo! Another view of the loading station. Still a bit dark, but we're working our way through the first portion of the ride. This is one of the coffin rooms. Overhead view... Back to the castle... The car enters the courtyard... Here's a daytime testing pic from the courtyard. Notice the coaster in the background.

^Don't you think you should ask one of the admins privately than airing this publicly? I think you're going about this wrong. Terry

Don't much about the good parts of the prom tradition, but I've certainly found the bad... "prom was an event that was all about them dressing up in their Sunday best. " They're dressed up for the Saturday strip. "Outfits usually match..." This is why they shouldn't. The look like they're auditioning for the revival of "Star Search"! "Dresses are usually more expensive" Not this thing!

For me it depends. If it was a layoff because of a loss of business is one thing, but if it was because of bad business decisions like hiring your unqualified friends to do major work at a higher rate of pay, pushing out the people that actually do the work then it is another. In this case, it was the latter. They tried to design a new program that was designed completely wrong and the old VP and I tried to warn them. To be honest, if I was being evil I could have just not contacted them again and let them struggle since they originally thought all I was good for was 13 hours a month.... that is a slap in the face, considering all the work I did for them. I did however let them know that my new job took precedence over them and if I needed to come in or meet with them, they would have to schedule it in advance. I hit them with an even higher rate when they felt I should jump when they called and come in right away when I was at my other job, and locked me out of the system when I told them I couldn't come in until the day after. So, when I found out they locked me out of the system I said fine and proceeded with my with my other job, which was full time with benefits. When they finally called me to ask if I was working on their stuff, I told them off about locking me out of the system and hit them with the new rate... which they ended up paying. Anyway, when the company went out of business (due to the hurricanes and the bad application that cost way more than the projected amount) I saw the VP that ruined the company eating dinner on Miami Beach a few months later. He saw me and tried to lower his head and duck under the table... I walked over to his table and said "Yeah, you need to have your head down."... and I walked away. Terry

The mysterious yellow B&M!

You're all wrong. The track is only going to be high enough for Tandi Iman to jump off of and land into the splits. Terry -
(Continuing to derail the thread) I looked at that video and realized why I'm not impressed with a lot of entertainment these days... these young kids don't have the imagination that we had. I went to contests these days and people are doing copies of music videos and the "old girls" were climbing up to the roof and jumping off down to the stage, or spinning down ropes... in heels! Not to mention these contestants were being THROWN through the air! My friend did tell me about some performer that tried something similar... but the beam broke and "she" fell to the stage and broke her wrist and ended up in the hospital! I showed the video to a person that had been judging national contests for over 20 years and her jaws dropped when "superman" THREW that girl! That was the funniest thing ever! And yeah, the ending was real tired. Terry

^That's because the "dragon" with the bullhorn chased them away. She looks a man-sy mess. Terry EDIT: I had to even myself out by seeing someone at least attempt some good drag, and I found the following video... That is if you're brave enough to see black drag queen slaughter the legacy of Wonder Woman. Regardless, she puts the other queen it the previous post in her place. At least she didn't bring the invisible jet onstage with her... like another one did! I know no one was ready for that! Just remember while watching this (particularly the ladies): She's in heels doing all this. I don't think the chances of getting hurt are this high in football! Worse costume translations of DC Comic characters. Worse looking backup dancer. Worse acting EVER. BEST entrance of a drag queen on stage EVER. (Brace yourself) BEST display of a drag queen being literally tossed around the stage EVER.

^Sorry to hear about that as well. I've been worried about layoffs at my job since last year. I'm just hoping I have a job log enough to pay for my Europe trip! I remember I worked at a place that decided to lay off the entire programming department and rehire them as consultants with no benefits. They only wanted to hire me back for a measly 13 hours a month! Luckily I was job hunting and accepted a job offer that same week. The funny thing was they told us on a Friday (two weeks before the end of the month) that they wanted me to finish up documenting what I did for the next two weeks, but neglected to see that my two week vacation started the next Monday. "Well, I guess this is my last day." was what I said, trying not to laugh too much. I got funny looks from people that thought I was a bit too happy for a person that was newly unemployed. Know why? I was the only person in the company that knew how to actually do the month end processing and I intentionally "disappeared" after that day, putting them in violation of Florida insurance law because they couldn't get the reports or checks out in time. When I finally returned their multiple phone calls, I said "My new rate is..." (Which was more than what I was originally making doing 40 hrs a week) I ended up paying off my car for what I charged them for. Oh and they went bankrupt when we had a string of hurricanes in the Florida panhandle. That's what they get. Terry

I'm going way back, but I have the LP of Vanity's Pretty Mess special extended version... Wait... nevermind, that song was the jam back in the day... the video was just a mess.

Elissa! Amen! I remember one bodybuilding brother that I had to make an excuse to get the hell out of dodge... not that I'm into that measuring up thing... but we're talking baby's thumb here! Poor thing! P.S. What's the point of this thread if we don't get to see video? I already see enough of that on Atari's site when those kids announce custom scenery and rides before they realize they can't deliver! Boo! Terry "Not into seeing naked men right now anyway (did I say that?)" Weaver EDIT: Thank god no one took a pic of me at Gay Disney in that speedo that my porn star friends made me wear while I was assisting one of them at the pool party!

Track Spottings!

Yeah that's Hollywood for ya. They must not want anyone to pirate the movie. He's putting on the remix to "Pretty Mess" if you must know. -

^No I think have the hilarious, yet disturbing example of dating the most unlikely person that turned out to be a prostitute on the side. When I found out, all I said was "Wut? Huh? HOW?" (That was the general response from all my friends too) Then I went out and got drunk. Terry -

Wes, Did Sony give you a date on when they're taking your novel to the big screen? I think Brad Pitt wants a crack at the lead role. Lavar Burton wants to play me since he found out that an old lady said I look like a handsome Kunta Kente. Terry "Don't answer if Fred Savage calls" Weaver
