I almost forgot about the laws that were on the books against interracial marriage. A lot of religious leaders were behind those measures as well. Luckily, these laws eventually got struck down as well. I'm sure people look back and realize how silly putting these types of laws on the books were. One day, they'll look at gay marriage in the same like... just takes time and people willing to look at others like they want to be treated... that's the basis of having rights after all. I agree. People also don't realize by using the "protecting children" argument for pass laws like this they've hurt children in the process. There are gay families that already have children... like one of my friends. They been together for 10 years and have two kids, but it would be great for them to be able to get married for the tax breaks and health insurance for the kids. So if they can't get the necessary insurance, who pays for it? You do now. There are so many definitions of family now, it's a sad thing when we enact laws that don't take those things in account... because the people that suffer the most would be their kids. I don't think we should have to have gay men and lesbians marrying each other to get insurance and tax breaks for each other's kids. Also, there are way too many kids that need adopting but no one wants to adopt them. Then on top of that, some states have laws that keep gays from adopting. Now if people are against that, that's fine for them... But I feel in that case they should get down to the orphanage to adopt a kid if they don't anyone else to... or help them find a home for those kids to go. After all, who did they actually hurt? ^I haven't seen the movie, but I agree religion is a powerful weapon... thus to keep people from using religion as such, the founding fathers wrote that separation into the Constitution. That's also why we keep it out of discussions at work and on forums... it causes to many problems across so many groups on who is right and who is wrong. If you go by the spirit of the constitution where everyone is equal and keep religion out of enacting laws then you should realize that passing any laws that says to a group "no you can't" based on religious convictions is probably not valid. But I really don't see that happening anytime soon... heck here in Florida it's illegal for a gay man to adopt, but you can have sex with an animal legally.... um where's the logic? Someone isn't on their job! (BTW a congresswoman keeps trying to get that law on the books but somehow it never makes it to the floor! Also the Florida Supreme court did allow a gay man to adopt a child recently so it's a matter of time before this law goes away too.) Terry

^I did that when Bush came on... but I'm guessing from his approval ratings before he left the White House that a lot of people did it too. I'm just disappointed that Obama didn't work the 40 acres and a mule into the stimulus package. We haven't forgotten. Terry "Can we start sending the cans of black paint to the 'Yes We Can' committee now? Weaver EDIT: One of my friends (who is white) works for a cable news network and he said when taped reactions to Obama's acceptance speech at a tavern he said he saw some looks from of the white people that made him think they were gonna burn the bar down! There goes the country huh? (I'm having fun with all of this BTW)

Thank you Eli for that. Saved me from pointing out how the United States got started in the first place. People tend to forget that... and the fact that there is more than one religion in the United States and that's why we should keep it separate in just these instances. I just find it funny how people say marriage is so sacred but I don't see people passing laws to shut down the quicky marriages in Las Vegas and how it's so easy to get a divorce. With over a 40% divorce rate in the United States, if it's so important to keep marriage sacred, why aren't those concerned actually try to take care of the REAL problem instead of telling a group that has nothing to do with their woes that they can't get married? Somebody help me understand this. Besides I have more gay friends "married" than my straight ones... and all of my straight friends have gotten divorced. But I have the perfect solution... Ban divorce and enact heavy penalties for adultery (I'm talking felonies with jail time not the slaps on hand). Let's do marriage like they do in the Middle East. Heck let's just throw rocks at adulterers they get caught. I'd bet people will think twice before rushing down that aisle without knowing their partner or cheating on them. Maybe then people will actually appreciate what marriage is... the joining of two partners that love each other. Let's see if someone will put that measure together. Those laws are actually in the bible, so why isn't this on the books? Laws against Gay marriage never really made the top 10 in the Bible, but adultery did... what's actually the punishment for that? And divorce pretty much amounted to adultery. But I'm betting those same people that voted for these measures wouldn't go for that... it's easy to tell others what to do rather than fall under the microscope themselves. Ok, I'm done. Tell your mom that Obama won, so what she said must not be true. Oh and I invested my welfare check in the stock market... hedge fund... and lost it anyway. Sheesh. Terry

^^The thing that got me is that the writer was thinking that they made the meat at the store... like baking bread! How do you make meat? A mind really is a terrible thing to waste. Terry

If I was in the audience, I would require medical assistance from laughing too hard! NOTE: Please keep your eye on the lady in the brown robe for her reaction! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGOYE7Mn4sA&feature=channel EDIT: While we're on performances, don't add surprises on stage while someone is lip syncing! On a side note you can hear him over the recording for that split second. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCRev-h8yq0&feature=channel

^I agree. Those turns need to be taken much slower and you need another block brake somewhere to reduce the wait at the top of the lift hill. I did like the drop under the station. Terry -
Sorry 'bout that. (You may be disappointed again at this post as well) I did try to work on the coaster last night, but didn't get too far. I did, however, find some more objects to fill in the 1st act... it's a bit empty inside! I'll try to do some more work, but the priority this weekend is to take stuff out of my room so it can be shown to prospective people to move in. Terry

I just saw the episode. Diablo's cemented in pop culture now, but the comment was ugly. We're talking about "bitter drag queen hatin' her life and yours" ugly. Oh my goodness! I know it's in good fun, but when I belonged to a gay forum where there were constantly comments like this, I had to fan the flames as follows: Comments like this will set your entire world aflame!

^I saw him on Atari as well. However, I think you should actually show the coaster without the blurry photoshop edits. That's what meant by showing the progress on the park.... keep the teasers to a minimum. Save that for Atari. Right now, you can't see anything on the ride. More pics please . Terry -
^I have one in my computer downstairs but it's not setup since my roommates swapped out the Directv receivers and I haven't been home to reprogram it. Besides, I'm moving out in two months so it's too much trouble for something I'm going to be removing anyway. I'll probably have more time to look at it tomorrow anyway. Anyway, back to work. Terry

The worst coworker I had was riding with me to lunch. She was an ultra religious person and also a hypocrite... but that's a different story. Anyway, she goes off into a rant... in my car... about how sinful gays are and said some horrible things. I pulled over and looked at her like she was crazy and I went off on her. Then I said, "Why don't you reflect on what I said by walking your a$$ back to work. Get out of my car." I also reported her to human resources about her preaching to the Hindu employees in the department as well. Just disrespectful. She got fired a month later. Terry

I think I'm gonna miss part of Battlestar galactica series finale because I'm gonna be stuck at work and my friend doesn't get home until about 10pm. Possibly get it off itunes later. Terry

That was one of my favorite parts of the game and back in the day, I was pretty good at getting multiball or winning a game. Like other things that I used to do but don't do as much now (ahem), I'm out of practice! I did manage to find the game as part of a virtual pinball game. I need to dig that program up and play it. Do you know "cyberbullying" is? I think by sending harassing text messages to someone, you may be doing something illegal. I'm surprised she didn't turn that text message into the police. Remember the case about the girl who hung herself after being harassed on Myspace by that girl and the mom? I believe they got arrested for it and on trial. EDIT: The charges were eventually dropped due to lack of evidence, but it's caused several states to amend their laws to properly address this. The mom certainly didn't win "Mother of the Year" with that type of behavior. You need to get away from those people, before you get in big trouble. If you insist on hanging around with them you deserve to go down with them if they get in trouble. I know if I had their information I'd turn them in; it's really despicable how some people are. Terry "no love for cowardly bullies" Weaver

I used to play pinball (particularly the "Funhouse" game) every week with my best friend before he died. I saw the game on the Midwest trip and played it there in his memory... with a beer of course. Terry
