I'm guessing that the training methods are much different; you hit a killer whale in the nose with a newspaper and you're gonna get your a$$ bit. Besides aren't dogs are classified as domestic animals? I don't see a bin at the local kennel where you can get your own killer whale. One you are bringing from the wild to train and the other doesn't get wild unless you set it out in the wild. See the difference? And you certainly don't want a baby playing with a killer whale. EDIT: I believe you made the distinction yourself. You teach a dog obedience for an owner; they're teaching whales tricks in exchange for food. If this is referring to the fool that snuck in the park, that doesn't count. He was earning his Darwin Award. He should have tried the dophin tank. Any wild animal that gets spooked or unnerved will revert to its nature, so you can't punish wild animals for being something they are.

I haven't followed to much of the progress, but I'm been pressing my friend that works at one of the new channels stationed in Orlando that if he get's a press pass, I'll be up there with bells on. It will definitely be interesting to see how it looks once everything is finished.

I'm finally getting a chance at catching up on TPR now that I'm working from home and I have my first project out for sale... I had totally forgot how I tortured Bryan that day (including the "Strike A pose" pics ) and talking to his mom on that video... after all those beers. Notice I don't get drunk, just plain silly! LOL! I can tell I'm getting old, I'm keeping a real low profile on these trips now! Terry

I get to work from home for the next few weeks while the new office is finished. I had to go in to unplug my machine so IT can move it into the server room (not sure why they can't get this put up in Citrix... oh well). So in lieu of no computer to work on, I popped open a beer in my home office. Wheeeeee! Terry

It's been a busy weekend, but I think my side business of a Published Artist for 3D models is going well. I'm about ready to release my first pack and I'm working with a guy that owns several online stores to create several figures for sale. I made 2 morphs this weekend and he likes my work so much, he wants me to do 5 more! I'm excited about this! Terry

Tomorrow is my last day of work, so I'm trying to finish as much as I can today. Then Wednesday I will be in LA to ring in the New Year.

Did even your parents forget? If not, then I got you beat. My mom called two days later asking for money and my now ex-friend, who is a doctor had the nerve to have his office manager call me to ask if I could come down to the office early so I can clean a virus off of his network. And he wasn't going to give me a break on the deductible or visit! I told her to call the "Geek Squad" and cancelled my appointment. That's one of the reasons I changed my number and didn't give out the new one.

^I went off this morning and told them to try that again next year and watch me knock down the tree. I love the "deer in the headlight" looks I get when I raise my voice. I made their christmas morning very uncomfortable. Bet they won't try that again. But I think next year, I'm just checking into an extended stay hotel for christmas until they get that 'cheer' crap out of their system. Oh, but here's my rant for the week... We had a meeting with a client over my system change proposal... she said (in a backwoods accent) that my proposal was too technical and she wanted it in more layman's terms... which would have been fine until she said I had random capitalizations in my document... so I wondered what the heck she was talking about until I realized that my "random capitalizations" name a specific item and should be capitalized regardless of the place in a sentence. You know what that is? (The english majors and proofreaders should know) It's a called a proper noun. I just sat on the other end of the phone with my jaw dropped. This dumb you-know-what is showing her ignorance and making it seem like I don't know what I'm doing. Anyway she wants to make "revisions" to the document and asked if I had any questions. I said "You make those revisions, then I'm sure I'll have questions." It got quiet on the phone for a second. My boss wants to be the buffer between me and the client. I said I'll let him because I can't find the right way of saying she needs to brush up on her English if she thinks I'm randomly putting capitals in a business document.

I'm still trying to side what parks I'm going to in LA next week, now that my friend has gotten back from working out of the country I'll hash that out. But I'm thinking I will be going to Disneyland for a bit on New Year Eve... I already have my New Years party VIP tickets, so that's what I'll be doing for the rest of the night... and the weekend for that matter. Terry

Must be Northern and Central Florida. It's "back to the bass" in South Florida. I'm still not over the time this lady in a SUV was all up on the bumper of my coworker's car just so he would have to take another parking spot when he made the turn too wide and tried to back up... and he had handicap plates on the car! I took care of it though. I guess homegirl didn't feel like spending her lunch in the emergency ward. Terry

I totally loathe Christmas, so I usually keep to myself. Outside my room, my roommates are playing Christmas music and the such. No big problem there, as I was online speaking to one of my friends from overseas and working on some promo images of a product I'm going to sell. Anyway, I decided to take nap around 8pm... and didn't wake up until almost 3am. I wake up and find that they tried to turn off my power and unplug my wireless router in an effort to come out and celebrate... you know watch them with their boyfriends and husbands and I'm the odd man out... I just spent 20 minutes fixing my connection because my wireless card acts funny and I have to constantly reset it in Windows to get the card to act right when the connection goes down. So they get to see me explode tomorrow when they open their presents to show them not to f%ck with me when I'm not in the Christmas mood. Terry

I don't smoke it, but I've seen how it helps people deal with the side effects that their HIV medication gives them. And I definitely deal with a pot smoker better than a drinker! Terry

We had our company party today... it was mostly a toy drive with desserts. Everything was ok, if not boring until they started karaoke. The people really couldn't sing! But that's not the bad part. The CFO decides to sing and know what his choice was? "Mamma's l'il baby loves short'n bread." For those that don't know about that song, that has connotations to racism against blacks. So the black employees just sat there with their jaws dropped. It was a complete mess. What's the odds on that karaoke machine being there next year? Looks like the company needs some sensitivity training. Terry

I hate when people lie on their online profiles. I saw the profile of an old friend on myspace; when I knew him in 1998, he was 25. His myspace profile today shows him as 27 years old.
