  1. I rode the Flooded Mine in 1995, totally forgot about it until now. At the end, they had all this water rushing at you like you were gonna get flooded yourself, it was a cute little ride.
  2. Silly, you've already got a pink scrunchi or what appears to be a pink scrunchi... Wish I was close to places that had cool concerts, that was great
  3. That is one HOT picture of Lou Not that all pictures of Lou aren't hot.
  4. Why did they have Hello Kitty at Dollywood? I freaking love Hello Kitty. I'm going next week and I'll HAVE to get a picture!
  5. The Bat was my first coaster. My dad took me on it when I was like 5 or 6 and I almost never rode another coaster again after that. All I remember is going fast and being scared.
  6. Shireland makes me think of Lord of the Rings.
  7. Hmm, weird. I can understand why they would throw him out but they didn't have any real proof. If he did, then he should have been thrown out. And yet, they don't seem to have a problem with a woman bending over and exposing herself to the family and at least eight other people?
  8. Wow, that brings back a lot of memories. I've been going to KI since I was really little. ^^We always called them the big and little water logs, lol. I miss that ride, it was fun. So many others that I miss too, Smurf's Enchanted Adventure, The Witch's Cauldron, The Flying Dutchmen and the Hanna Barbera Carousel. Everyone would always race to Scooby Doo first. A bunch of those rides I've never even seen though. They're neat. I remember the big elephant fountain too. And they used to have this cool covered walkway in Hanna Barbera Land, it was covered in vines and everyone would always go in there because it stayed cool. I always loved the Hanna Barbera theming and being able to have access to a wealth of Hanna Barbera merchandise. I still remember the last piece of Hanna Barbera merchandise I bought from KI, it was a stuffed Captain Caveman back in 1995. I know Scooby is still around but it's just not the same. I wonder whatever became of all those rides that have now disappeared and all the Hanna Barbera and Smurfs stuff they used to have? And is it just me or did the original Enchanted Voyage with the big clown face seem a bit creepy?
  9. Sorry Ryan...you have to live in Florida to be "Miss Florida". But I'm sure you've got a shot at "Miss California" or "Miss Fresno"! -Jahan Maybe he could be Queen of the Raisin Festival, or something. We have a Miss Corn Queen at our local Corn Festival that anyone can apply for. Those are some awesome pictures, I can't wait to go to Florida again.
  10. That literally made me laugh out loud. "Monkey on a Bicycle!" should become the next big catchphrase or else the sequel to Snakes on a Plane. Thanks for the great update! You all look like you're having all kinds of fun.
  11. ^^They should totally start naming stuff after Dolly songs, a swing called The Swing of Many Colors or Here You Come Again, a rapids ride called Islands in the Stream, dueling coasters with trains called Dolly and Jolene. Yeah I'm kidding well...kinda Look over me, I get weird when I stay up late.
  12. Best: Expedition Everest made my jaw drop. The Beast, I must say I love the double helix as well Worst: Add another for Adventure Express. I rode it when it first came out and remember when we went up the final lift hill and then out, everyone on board let out a collective "That's it?!?"
  13. I'm a big Halloween fan too, that was another of the trips that I was super-excited about.
  14. I totally drooled all over myself when I read about the Disney around the world trip. That would be like a dream come true if I can save up enough money in time for it.
  15. My favorite element is carbon. On coasters I like airtime hills.
  16. Nah, I figured there have been enough pictures of Firehawk and I didn't want to make my group wait on me to ride it.
  17. And here's the rest... Nothing like a wall of candy... Kids love Scooby! Lucas, Logan and Victoria, my nephews and niece. My niece, Victoria, after her first ride on The Racer. Another empty que for The Racer. Kid's area at the water park. Train to the Water Park! The Racer hill taken while waiting forever at the top of the Monster. The Monster or The Octopus or The Spider, whatever you wanna call it. The Vortex! Scariest. Gary. Ever. Ah Munna Eat Choo! Roar! WTH? Snakes with tiger heads or Tigger that was in a bad accident and had to have his body removed? Best park employee ever. He laughed in some little girl's face when she lost the game. IGTHERTOWN!!?!?!! Empty que, like this all day long. Scientology! Oh wait, this is Top Gun. Still out of commission, I saw no work being done on this whatsoever.
  18. This is my first trip report, so bare with me. Yesterday I traveled to Ohio for a day at Kings Island. I went with my sister and my 2 nephews and niece. I already knew I wasn’t going to get to ride any of the major rides because the group dictates what we ride and they are all scared of most of the big rides. But still, my sis paid my way in so I wasn’t going to complain. We headed into the park and I was surprised to see that the park was not very busy at all. The guy in front of me had to go through the metal detector like 20 times. He kept taking stuff out of his pockets and finally they made him take his belt off and he was able to move on into the park. I thought it was funny for some reason. First things first we headed to the kid’s section of the park. I hadn’t been since they’d revamped it and there were a lot of nice changes. It was really colorful with all your basic recognizable Nick Jr. characters. I can see why they get awards for their kid’s section. I’m just glad I didn’t see anything Wonder Pets related, that guinea pig freaks me out. I’m still not a fan of the name The Fairly Odd Coaster either, it will always be The Beastie to me. We decided to ride the Avatar ride first. I was actually pretty excited to ride it. The two younger kids chickened out after they saw what it did but my older nephew and I loved it. He said it reminded him of the Viking boat except that it spins. It was really smooth and didn’t spin so much that it would make you sick. We both give it a thumbs up. It’s a great ride and a great show if you ever catch it on Nick. My nephew and I went off to ride some coasters after that. We headed toward The Beast to get it over with. We walked by White Water Canyon and Tomb Raider, which were both closed down. I found someone’s Gold Pass on the ground and turned it in, so if anyone knows a Kellie Campbell tell her pass was turned in. We get to The Beast and surprisingly there is no wait to ride. And this would be the way it was all day long. We basically walked onto almost all the rides we rode all day long. On to The Beast, it was rough and I definitely like the second half of the ride more than the first. The first half is just so slow now it’s pathetic. Up next was the Italian Job Stunt Track. It was the exception to the no wait rule for the day but was still only about a 10 to 20 minute wait. IJST was actually really fun, I’d never rode it before and even the younger kids in my group rode it and loved it. We rode it 7 times throughout the day because they liked it so much. If you get to ride DEFINITELY ride in the front seat. I flew out of my seat multiple times in the front. After IJST we walk past another ride that’s shut down, Shake, Rattle & Roll. Lots of shut down rides that day. I have to avoid The Vortex because no one in my group is brave enough to ride with me. We ride the Zephyr, swings are always fun. We go into the Flight of Fear/Firehawk area but again I can’t ride because my group won’t do extreme coasters. This was the busiest part of the park, which is understandable. There was probably at least a 1-hour wait for these rides easily. We head to The Racer after that. I love The Racer, well the backward side anyway. My nephew loves it too. We rode it 10 times during the day, never having to wait. Only rode the forward one once because it hurt to ride it. The red backward train was faster while the blue one was smoother. My niece also rode it for the first time and loved it. We rode The Adventure Express about 10 times during the day because the two younger kids LOVED it. It’s okay but it’s super rough, I think I left some internal organs in one of the tunnels. We also rode Top Gun, which was quick but still fun. We headed to the water park for a couple hours so the kids could get in the wave pool for a while. All in all we had a great day and had a lot of fun. The only really bad thing about the park was that some of the workers are rude and it seemed a bit dirty to me. Also, there was a fun experience waiting to get on IJST. This woman comes trucking up the exit on her scooter with her group of 8 people in tow. There was nothing at all wrong with this woman or her family members. It was my group’s turn to get on the ride but we couldn't get on because that whole group practically got a whole train by theirselves. The woman gets up and walks to the coaster with no problems whatsoever and the whole group just has the worst attitude ever. After their ride was over, she even had the nerve to complain to the ride attendants. She yelled at one of the attendants, “This ride almost gave me WHIPLASH! I can’t believe you all let me ride this thing.” I hate people like that and I just don’t think that big of a group should be allowed to cut in front of a whole line. The group behind us was mad because the same group had already jumped in front of them on another coaster. And apparently there is a lack of watches in Ohio because I got asked what time it was 10 times. Now here’s some pictures, with more to follow... Entering the park and a random family I don't know. Blues Clues! Yeah, I'm a dork. The Backyardigans swing. Great, now I'm singing the theme song again. The entrance for the The Avatar, lots of people were using it as shade and blocking the entrance. The Avatar! It didn't make me sick, yay! Sandy Cheeks with the kiddie water area behind her. I don't know what she's doing with her hands. Bow down and worship at the altar of Spongebob. I love getting sprayed by elephant snot water. Tomb Raider, nobody riding it today. The Beast, yeah. IJST! Ride in the front, trust me. Shake, Rattle & Roll, another ride shut down. Zephyr! When I was little I would always hope to find Greg and Peter Brady here. The Racer...yay for backward, boo for forward. The Adventure Exess??!? The train for The Adventure Express. My spleen just cringed in fear. I thought this was a pretty shot. The Viking Ship from across the pond.
  19. I'm so freaking worried about being able to buckle those belts at Cedar Point in August. I've been on a diet and walking 5 miles every day. I've lost 17 lbs so far but I'm still worried because I've read that it's actually not so much your stomach that's the problem but your thighs and I've got massive thighs, always have. I naturally have a muscular/thick lower body and I'm scared I won't get to ride the coasters now because of it. I'd be afraid to even try to get on if I didn't think I could because that crap's embarrassing being told to get off because your too big. So what's most people's experience with these rides, like what do you all think is too big?
  20. Me too. A huge amount of my friends are so excited about this and are dying to go to IOA when it opens. They're already planning their trips. I want to move to Florida just to be closer
  21. Very cool. I'll have to check it out to see what parks and restaurants get highlighted. I love watching the Food Network show where they do the awesome cakes. Although I totally missed posting in this thread to begin with. I've not been to enough parks or eaten in enough park restaurants to vote.
  22. My favorites include: Scream - Great movie The Descent - I hate tight places, that scared me more than the monsters Arachnophobia - I know it's more of a comedy but man I hated those spiders Troll - This was the first scary movie I ever watched and I was like 8. It scared me half to death. Troll 2 is the worst movie ever made, so much so it has garnered it's own cult following (the movie isn't even about a troll, it's about goblins lol). I hated the Sixth Sense. It took me no time at all to figure out the twist and I was like how could people not figure this out. The Grudge 2 is the worst horror movie I've ever seen. I was literally mad after I watched it. I wanted to burn the dvd.
