Silver Bullet Concept Video

Why does it suck? Keith McVeen is great and companies need people like him to promote their rides. -
I love how he just looks like some normal geeky kid. No expectations then WHAM he stuns everyone. You can tell on one had a clue because the 2 dude on the side are just  at the end. This is old, but still great. This is pretty sweet too http://www.funfreepages.com/flash/beatbox_harmonica.php

Ok, was just making sure. They said their aim for that element was to try and disorient the riders before they even get to the lift. I can assume it may for alot of the GP. -
But are you 100% sure it was their food that made them sick? Could they possibly have had a bug in their system and food triggered it? You cant dispute that really. How many times have you been feeling ok, then, ate something, thrown up then realized you had the flu? Not to say it cant happen, but I am willing to be every single fast food chain has had someone get sick. No ones perfect, someone can easily put the stuff in wrong, mix wrong ingredients, etc. I know its all been dumbified, but people still find a way. I am trying to stay away mearly to get more in shape. Im sure it hasnt helped me much lately.

Once a week I do DDR. Recently, Ive started a routine. Every other day I work out on abs, chest, shoulders and arms. Between those days I am running 3 miles to lose the weight so I Can get that beach body by summer The working out isnt so bad, Ive worked at UPS for over 2 years, its tough enough. But the running which Ive just started SUCKS. My ankles feel like they are going to just snap because they arent used to that kind of work. Oh well, itll all be worth it in the end. Ill be DDR'ing every day here in couple of weeks...I Hope. -

Considering how messed up he is in his own mind, I dont think hes stable enough. When I think about all the trouble hes had with his own identity, it doesnt make me think "Oh, hes got it together" Then couple that with his private amusement park....ehhh. It just doesnt seem right.

Well I wasnt trying to say she was wrong, she just happened to be the person I picked on, sorry there Elissa And yes, environment and parents are what make up a child. But Parents overrule it because parents should be aware of the environment a child is in/getting into. If not, they probably arent getting enough interaction with thier children. And like you said and I hinted too, he had no parents. More often than not grandparents cannot raise children like they should. Most of the time there seems to be a lack of dicipline probably because they feel inferior to a child, especially a high school boy who can overpower what they say and do. Especially for a child who doesnt have any respect for anyone, counting themselves.
-
I 100% disagree. Some kids just have messed up parents. Kids dont just grow up to be this way for random reasons. Kids grow up like this because their parents shouldnt have been parents, or, as it sounds in this case, were raised by other people who didnt properly raise them. This sort of stuff starts at home. And while I think its too far to hold the parents as accountable as say, landing them in jail, I think its enough punishment to have everyone looking at them going "what the heck did you do wrong?"
-
Its a masterpeice of GCI design IMO. I think only making it 30ft higher with more of the same track could make it any better. Simply an awesomely fun ride. Frankly, I love Tennessee Tornado as well. Loads of airtime from the backseat.
-
Don't worry. It will come. Unless you have already riden Thunderhead. In that case, you would be a lost cause. 100% correctness there. I would also throw in there Indiana Beach and Holiday Worlds wooden coasters. All of them should be very smooth but very fun.
-
Well, if you want your own, it takes a credit card. From there, youll purchase a plan for space. Alot of the places now will also take care of and include the domain name you choose and get it all set up for you. From there I would reccommend a good FTP program for ease of use. Once its all setup, youll just create your html templates (if you choose to use pages) for your pictures and upload em to your site. Its pretty darn easy really.

Anybody ever been on a roller coaster...
Real replied to Three's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hmm, the boomerang I was on wasnt bad at all. I also hear the Vekoma woodies are very smooth and their newest ride, Booster Bike, is completely heartlined. -
Ok, thats WAY too much information. Boxers and jogging pants (got done working out...still gotta run when I get back from work) Man Im tired now...

Well, I know the ones on SROS were air, but they used crappy hosing too. He checked the ones on MF and they used a wire mesh hose + they had a counter-weight system inplace I believe. http://capital2.capital.edu/admin-staff/dalthoff/sros.html " Third, the cylinders operating the brakes are much larger than the ones on the Darien Lake ride, and are connected to the air supply conduits via large hoses with braided covers, not the thin plastic hoses seen in the Darien Lake photos above. Next time I go to Cedar Point I'll take a camera and see if I can get some decent photos of this mechanism. My suspicion is that the cylinders used on Millennium Force may be spring-return cylinders rather than double-action cylinders, but that is mere guesswork on my part." The word hydraulic does not show up on that whole page. However, this isnt to say that the rocket coaster ones arent different, they very well could be. But they seem to be the same. They give the same hiss as the ones on MF when they open up to let a train in. However, I can be very wrong in this too. I dont work for Intamin, I only speculate
-
No. The main hydraulics issue was within the motor itself. It dealt with the hydraulics that were presurizing the nitrogen into its containers. The problem you see most often is the pnuematic /hydraulic (cant tell, they hiss like pnuematic but could be hydraulic + i remember reading Dave Althoff talking about air at one point in dealing with the Intamin brake systems) arms used to push and pull the brake fins up and down. They lose anywhere from 10-60 minutes per incident. I dont think that KK will be ANY differnet here. Theres not much to those systems so chances are, there wasnt much to improve upon. But the dual station the way they chose is going to be crap IMO. I think the dual loading and dual unloading single file is far more effective.
-
They do have multiple loading stations on TTD...that one station services TWO trains. Plus it unloads 2 trains at the same time its loading 2. Hows that slow? TTD has some of the fastest moving lines at CP, period. It kills MF (because of the seat belt crap) and even moves faster than Raptor at times. If Im not mistaken, KK has that one single dual station where they will load and unload. If thats so, thats not going to be as effecient as Dragster. Also look at capacity as a whole. KK will run 4 trains, Dragster runs 5. And when they run 5, its a SMOOTH 5. Its when CP tries to run 6 that it bogs down, its just not realistic in terms of people needing to be cared for every step of the way. My money will be on KK having slightly poorer capacity, but I hope less downtime. As Robb said thogh, the smaller rockets arent in the same class and have had FAR less downtime. This is the only ride on scale with Dragster so its techincally only their 2nd rocket of this magnitude. Its a whole nother ball game with cables this long, motors this big and launches that long.

Haha!! ALL of the games I owned for SNES that I loved as well. Man, all of those are SO classic. Pilotwings is still one of the most original games out there. I simply loved acing stuff to get hte guys to freak out. And especially getting in the copter to blow some stuff up. I just never understood how skydiving, plane flying, rocket packs and hanggliding qualified you to take on a helicopter for a military mission. Man, brings back some CLASSIC memories. That and FZero as well...dang freakin Fire Field...

HAHA, good call Elissa, good call. I have the same feeling about the kids who can step on one of the arcade machines and ace say...the fastest song + 2x + no bar + backwards and get a double or triple A. If they do have a girlfriend, they probably dont know her as well as they could.
