  1. Here is the entire 3 Gallery set featuring Islands of Adventure, Epcot and the Hotel I stayed at, Pop Century (well, only for 3 days). Most of the gallery is IOA, understandably so. Everything is uber high res. You can keep clicking the photo till you get the full size. Be warned, its huge. The entire gallery is 185mb. http://www.real-coasters.com/florida_parks/ But its worth the time taken to download the pictures, IMO. (Of course, I took the things!) Also, if theres any true requests for posters of any of these, I found a place that does them for cheap and quality should be nice. I plan on ordering one this week to see just what the quality looks like. Expect 22 USD for a 30inch by 20 inch poster (pretty good size) ========================= Well, pictures will come later but yesterday I was lucky enough to get into Epcot for free using my girls Soarin preview pass. Ill start with Soarin - This thing was pretty sweet. I knew what it was, maybe expected a bit more than it was, but nonetheless it was pretty sweet. Awesome concept and sweet engineering. Ive been to huge IMAX theatres that have displayed similar movies, and you still feel like you are flying (The one at CP was 8 stories tall...lol) but actually being lifted up and the other effects were great. Overall, a mild but very fun ride. A few suprises and I really liked the queueing areas. This should be a crowd eater seeing as how much room there is in the queues. Test Track - Usual, love this thing. Got in single rider line, did get split from my girl but we waited all of 10 minutes instead of the 30 minute line. Was the longest line in the park but I would have waited 30 if I had too. Mission: Space - Each time I ride it I ride it more like a video than a simulator. I just love the forces really. I was too preoccupied leaning forward on the launch and looking at everyone else (Also getting a WICKED spiraling feeling) that I almost forgot to put us in Deep Sleep after our slingshot around the moon. Oops. But it is. I dont think I can be disoriented..lol I broke every rule concerning not getting dizzy and I loved it. I got SUPER dizzy Living Seas - Turtle Talk - That thing was cool. Im pretty sure i have an idea how its done, but, its still funny. Remember, Dudes are cool and chicks are hot! Ive always been an aquatics person so I love getting back to LS when I can. Love watching the fish and checking out the smaller tanks with the little exotic stuff. Probably going back tonight. Spaceship Earth - Went on it to take a nap...no, really. Actually, Rachel and I found 2 hidden Mickeys, how many do you guys know about? (Without getting those cheat books... ) So should be back there tonight for cast preview. Going to take more pictures, especially night time pictures. Hopefully Ill have the Soarin pictures up here soon and a few other misc ones I took. Was a leisure day really.
  2. lol @ "Cost of Magic" Yea, thats why she said she wouldnt want to work there after this. Its just not something she things is worth her time. About the other stuff, yea. Im one of those "Florida is my 2nd/3rd home" people so Im all for hitting the parks on those short rainy days. You can be there half a day and get in more rides than a full day if you do it right. Im really looking forward to Typhoon, I havent been there in years.
  3. Well she doesnt get much then. Shes there for 6 months and gets like 2 single park tickets to give out? I can understand not giving her full employee status, but man, thats not much incentive to bring down your family or friends to visit. The only perks I actually have enjoyed (and am VERY thankful for) was the 50% off PER night on my rooms at the Economy and Mid-Level Hotels Im staying at. (had to split cost to save more money) I will be getting the cast preview on Saturday for Soarin (cant beat that either) but shes mentioned some other things that I cant remember but she thought they skimped a bit.
  4. Finally getting to see my girl after 2 months... + Going to Disney + Going to IOA + Going to Typhoon Lagoon Id say next week is pretty awesome. Lately: Promoted to Supervisor at UPS's #1 Hub in the Nation. Which should bring along its own set of awesome things.
  5. Advanced Intern for Floral Design I believe. Yea, shes gets majorly shafted being Advanced. she gets hardly any perks that the normal interns get...so I dont get it. She gets the more advanced internship but gets way less perks. Makes no sense. I mean heck, there was some big ordeal for the regular interns, (riding Spacemountain with lights on, all kinds of stuff) and she had to get in via a friend. She wasnt invited...so its really odd how they work it there. But yea, going to have tons of fun. Looking forward to finally seeing her most, then, riding Dueling Dragons again, then WDW parks, then Crush N Gusher
  6. She works the Floral area. Mainly she works at what she calls "Main warehouse" but she also does work at the Grand and Contemporary. BTW elissa, GREAT resource. Thats going in the bookmarks.
  7. Send an email to info@nolimitscoaster.com and give them as much info about yourself (CC you used to purchase it, name, etc), the more you give the easier and faster they can identify you. This usually only takes a day or 2, normally very speedy.
  8. Haha! That ones hilarious. Its just how she pops in and hes inconspicuously repeating the eric clapton song while shes trying on 50 dresses. Gotta say the Pepto one sucks. Lately I havent watched much tv but I remember there were quite a few that really were annoying.
  9. My girl is down there as a College Intern, so shes not 100% familiar with the way crowds get, but I was wondering how next week "should" be? I heard that its the very last week of "peak" but as far as I know, most schools are back in session by now at least. I would think this week would be much busier than next week but Im just trying to figure out plans seeing as I leave Friday night.
  10. Well, I was thinking about doing something like this this year. I recently got a Canon 300D digital SLR and it can produce sharp images up to 30 x 20, which is poster size. I am going to be trying to get to quite a few parks this year and as always, CP and GL many times (the former probably more than I can count, as usual) So I thought about printing them out on demand as people wanted them and sending them via UPS where I work. I havent priced things out yet but I dont think they would be too expsensive (I could ship other methods too) but I think it would be rather cool. Ive got 1 MF poster and 2 Dragster ones, one of which is in my room at the moment. As for finding them, eh, its a tough call. CP started selling them this last year or the one before and seemed to be selling quite a few. Same with the Banners...while expensive, people, like me, were willing to pay 125 bucks for an original, first year off the rack Top Thrill Dragster banner that hung down the launch. Just depends on the park.
  11. Yea, if they crammed another one alongside NMR that would be sweet. The only thing was it would have to be made in a way that didnt take away from the beauty of whats there. Its a very good looking wooden coaster and its extremely photogenic.
  12. 96 Sebring Convertible JXI - Totalled it...good thing it wasnt my fault, their insurances paid the entire thing off Currently: 99 Alero Its been on and off. I like it, but I wish I had gotten a 4 door and this one seems to be more trouble than its worth. I would REALLY like a Saab 93 sedan...those things are freakin sweet, just a bit pricy. Or the 05 Mustangs. I dont care what engine, they just look too awesome.
  13. However, Dragsters is held longer. So if you are like me, and would rather have a longer launch than a shorter one, then it works for you. But thats correct. But about having your arms up on Dragster and dislocting your arms, total false. I ALWAYS have my hands up before it takes off. Its a matter of timing. Once the train slides backwards, its in automatic mode. Ive spent enough time in that station watching the ops work it that I probably could learn it with 5 minutes help, at least whatever part I needed. The actual "launch" person sits facing the ride and just presses 2 buttons down when they flash...thats when the catch dog engages and the train slides back. ITs harmless on dragster unless you have some serious medical conditions. I never get much feeling in my arm sockets other than the wind force. Which, in front seat (Where I always sit) is the most fun.
  14. You can thank Denise Dinn for that contribution...or lack thereof in splitting the company.
  15. Dueling Dragons Fire is IMO one of the most intense B&M's (if not the...) in the United States. Its also one of the most fun Ive been on in the states as well. Ice was good, but the Immelmans i love + super tight helix and duel wingovers just "ices" the cake for me. CP is great. Has a very solid collection of rides I think only matched by Great Adventure but DD: Fire is a pinnacle ride for me now. Hence why Im going back next Tuesday Yay for me!
  16. Thats right. The loop was a loop...nothing untypical about it, back or front. Immelman did what I expected, floater. Its not SUPPOSED to be intense, immelmans should deliver imo floater air at the top with the rotation feeling. The zero g IMO was taken a touch too fast actually, taking away the Zero G feeling and making it more of a speed roll. The Batwing was the only remotely intense part but still, friction trims suck. As for the brake on the MCB, we came to a screeching hault. I think we went from like 30 to 5mph. From there that loop underground isnt any more intense than the first. And I must say the rest is quite boring. The turn around is slow and the wingover, while awesome from the front seat, doesnt whip as much as Raptors or BTR's. I really find the second half of Montu to just be kinda blah. I would rather have a wingover than a loop, its MUCH more dynamic from a design/artistic standpoint. I think with trims off the ride would be hella intense but its been neutered so badly. I know its not that intense because I had very high hopes from all the things people said, much like what you said. It just totally did not deliver at all for me. Not quite as bad as Raging Bull (ultimate disappointment forme) but it was close. Kumba on the other hand was WAY better than I expected. So was Gwazi and it wasnt even racing. With that being said, Montu was still VERY fun. Thats my analytical - pick - it - apart review. I dont like to do that but I do for that ride and Raging Bull because I expected so much but go so little. Sorry to side track topic.
  17. I think the video FPS is misleading. How fast were you guys expecting it to go? Frankly it looked even faster than I anticipated and if you had smoother video (better compression too) it can totally alter the rides perception of speed. But you guys know that, you are video guru's I really hope you arent talking about Kumba and Montu...cause Montu was one of the weakest rides Ive been on. I didnt feel much force, if any on it. Gwazi kicked the crap out of it. I got airtime and a huge dose of laterals on Gwazi. Just wanting to make sure cause if Montu is intense...Kumba must be off the charts. Kumba ripped through its elements while Montu meandered through at best. I still stand by Raptor as better than Montu. (montu was running as usual, trims on medium and mcb on hard)
  18. Go to EPCOT and find out. Its best when you arent expecting it.
  19. In the very least, I wouldnt think things could be posessed, but rather living organisms. Yes, I agree, faked. Why do people pay for stuff like this? Beyond me.
  20. NO no no...NMR is NOT a shoehorned coaster when compared to Cornball Express. Really now, NMR actually has room, goes out, turns around, comes back. Has the sweet turn around sections with the tunnels. When MORE than half of the ride is suspended over picnic areas, water and the walking area + plus uses supports from another wooden coaster, THATS shoehorned. http://www.real-coasters.com/tripreport/IB/cornball/cornball.html But CCI has a knack (now GG) for taking whats really no space at all and putting in a stellar ride.
  21. I want more pictures of that sexy CCI....man, why do almost all CCI's just LOOK good? Especially with steel supports, but thats just me. I like the contrast the track makes as it highlights its curves and such against the steel backdrop.
  22. Yea, well now theres 3 options. Im sure hes talking about speeling.
  23. Real

    VHS

Vegetable Homoginator System? Vehicular Homocide Scene? Velcro Hook Snare? Sure beats me, I have no clue.
  24. The way I posted is a million times easier than that. You dont have to open up anything else, just type in whatever box you are using, highlight, spell check. Couldnt be simpler, plus no hassle with Word or switching between programs.
  25. Dragster rountinely has shorter lines than MF (not counting downtime on both)
