  1. Bill in hindsight I think I would've done the Aventure Parc ropes course. Originally I had just planned to stay at Walibi (but we all know how that went down with the insane French crunch kids), so I'd had my fill of that place by the time others were leaving for the ropes course. However, in the end I think it actually all worked out for the best to chill with you, enjoy the beer and snack, and watch others not quite kill themselves lol. I did do the ropes course at Toverland and had a blast! Oh and thanks for posting the Toverland tea cups photo. Those were probably the best I did on the whole trip...some really almost "tea cups of death" spinning thanks to Ben, Steve, and Brad. I'm really enjoying this so far and looking forward to seeing more!
  2. I have to agree with Ryan that the Tour des Flours monorail ride was just insanely good and psychedelic. If the Flaming Lips ever had a ride, this would be it! Also big shout outs to Holiday Park for the awesome hairtime (for what little hair I have left) ERT, beer, hot dogs, goodie bags, and all around great hospitality! Thank you!
  3. Bill it was really fun chilling out with you at the ropes course enjoying a nice relaxing afternoon (especially after the MADNESS of Walibi). Thanks for sharing the cheese/sausage plate! Nice photos too!
  4. Congrats Mel on the #500 as well...you anti-nerd you! Ryancrash wrote: Thanks Robb...I shall wear it with great honor! Thanks Ryan...I was fairly happy it turned out to be Black Mamba, which I really liked (Hi Lou) by the way. Fun ride, great foot choppers, and loved the themeing. Fortunately #500 wasn't an SLC!
  5. Hanno it amazes me how you totally capture the expressions of joy (or pain in some cases ) on people's faces while riding rides. I LOVE it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Heide Park was truly a great day.
  6. Hanno you even captured Goliath's road wheels not touching the track! Good thing there are upstops. AMAZING!
  7. I really had a blast at Schlossbeck. It was one of those little gems of the trip where I went in with no expectations and came out having had a great time! I loved all the DIY rides as well as the ice cream machine. The park mascot is Becki, the ghost. We kept looking for her around the park and never saw her (him?), so thanks for finding her and posting the pic Robb. Thanks Stefan for the insane swing rides and the "carousel of death swing around spinny ride" playground fun!
  8. ^ Please Beech Bend are you listening? I absolutely LOVED Formule X. It was definitely one of my fav coasters of the entire trip. Once again Hanno excellent photos and many thanks!
  9. Thanks Robb for the great laugh at work today over the Bandit photos! I think we all were in severe pain. I do hope to see Steve and Lou's onride dvd again. It's priceless! Oh and thanks Divv for not hurling your Zombie on Bandit as I was sitting right behind you!
  10. Now that's how I like to party! Tover had it goin' on, and I'm not sure it ever gets any better than this. AMAZING photos once again Hanno. Thanks!
  11. Hanno thanks for posting all of the awesome pics from the trip...they are AMAZING. It was great fun being around you on the trip.
  12. Great photo TR so far Chuck. Keep it coming. Thanks for being a great roomie on the trip!
  13. Thanks for the photo updates Robb. Can't wait to see more. This trip was beyond AMAZING!!!!
  14. It was so awesome finally meeting you BigMike! You are awesome, and I love how you always thanked anyone when you took their picture. Great string of photos from the Europe trip and so sad it's all come and gone so quickly. Thanks for all the great memories!
  15. Thanks for the MER Peter! It truly was a tasty treat, and it was great hanging out with you and your bro at Heide too. Hopefully see you in Scandi next year!
  16. "After a very very good meal of hamburgers, fried chicken and mac n cheese (and time to let that settle)...." You didn't have any fudge? Looking forward to your pics!
  17. This is a very interesting vid series to watch...especially if you enjoy the historical aspects of theme parks (ie Shane's Amusement Attic updates). I'd forgotten all about KW letting people walk Thunderbolt's track while it was in operation. Crazy!
  18. I enjoyed your TR! By the way, for others passing through Nashville on your way to BB, there are discount coupons at area McDonald's. I think the round concrete pad is where the new carousel is going. I love my lil "home" park.
  19. I've enjoyed your TR so much Lou. Thanks for the memories...and see you in another month or so!
  20. I think this is a good thing. It seemed the former "new" owners were running out of gas. I hope for the best for AA!
  21. It's amazing how HUGE the parking lot looks in the aerial photo! I'm glad I got to visit SFNO back in '04.
  22. A good 10 years have gone by since we lost OL...hard to believe! I practically grew up going here every summer. Now I try to spend as little time as possible in the mall that replaced it. I think GRR will always be my fav rapids ride. Is the cave still there? Thanks for this TR!
  23. I don't want this to end!
