Tornado hits Flamingoland
Ccron10 replied to Kumali-'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why in the world do they have a skyride running when a funnel cloud is in the background? Usually when there's a funnel cloud it means that a nasty thunderstorm is nearby. Most parks should have weather detection systems to close rides when bad weather is nearby. A skyride is the worst place to be when you see one of those. -
The latest was 12 am on new year's eve updating my Axis project. Nice way to bring in the new year.

Baltimore Aquarium is the best! I like the architecture, layout, and landscaping of the building. I loved the Austraila section. If you go in that tall building next to it an go to the top, you can see for a very far distance (even though your ears nearly bleed on the elevator ride to the top and it costs $7). -

Update #28 Minetown and Pioneer Frontier Construction Sorry for the lack of updates, between problems with the internet and focusing on getting a lot done, I finally have a big update. First of all, Sidewinder is built, Storm Runner is constructed and the station is half done. Trailblazer is done execpt the only problem is since the angle of Storm Runner, the layout is a little different. Dry Gulch Railroad is done with the round house and small western scenes and RXR crossing. The Claw is built along with Frontier Flyers, Mini Scrambler, Livery Stables, and the food court. Right now I just built Rodeo and I ready to build buildings in Minetown for the Turnpike, Wing It, restrooms and Gourmet Grill. Canyon River Rapids, Western Chute Out, Tidal Force, etc. are then going to be built. Also, There's a really great chance for me to go to the park in a few weeks. This will give me a chance to check my accuracy and make any changes that I missed. I have finally passed the half way done mark for the park so stay tuned! The overall park so far The Playdome Arcade and Rodeo Food Court and Frontier Flyers Storm Runner (from top to bottom) Sidewinder, Storm Runner, Trailblazer, Flying Falcon, Convoy, Frog Hopper, Dinosaur-Go-Round, Twin Turnpike and Kissing Tower. -

The cars for some reason, remind me of millenium flyers. Looks awesome and it makes me think that the completion date isn't that far away. Looks like they're creating a DVD of it's construction. EDIT: Hey! They moved the lifthill cam, got the the chainlift track added and got some work done on the station! Cool! http://www.flyingturnsproject.com/FT_Webcam.html -

It was a good show, but they should of did the whole construction of each coaster. LOL! First of all being a carpenter's son, that's not how you hit a nail! And second, I just thought it was hilarious seeing the host scream like a girl on the coasters! "Making of a Coaster" was better. -

The last couple days were filled with rain so I didn't get to ride Ring of Fire and Zipper until last night. They were AWESOME!!! Here's how they stacked up for me... Airtime- ROF- Everytime I was upside down, my butt was off the seat and it was even better when they stopped it upside down. 10/10 Z- I would get a few pops of air at a few places, but not that many. 4/10 Intensity- ROF- Not that intense at all, felt like you were on a swinging ship execpt you went upside down. 5/10 Z- This had to be the most intense ride (coaster or flat ride) I've ever been on! So much spinning and being glued against the wall. 10/10 Cost- ROF-I kind of thought it was a great price for $5.00, but $6.00 would be my limit. Z- I think that it was right at my price limit of $5.00. I wouldn't ride it any higher. Overall- ROF-Great! I got so much air and I liked it so much I'm gonna ride it one last time tonight before the fair closes. 9/10 Z-It was good, but with so much spinning, you really couldn't keep track of what was happening. I had a big WTF moment when I went to get in one of the cars thinking that there'd be seats like on a coaster, but here it's just a coushined wedge against the back of the car. I'd re-ride it possibly next year. 7/10 -
SFGAM Lawsuit

It seems like the family has no common sense meaning... restraints on waterslide tube+ person + person flipping over on splash pool= the person possibly drowning. And if the inner tube still flips over in the slide, you still could get injured from it since the tube would still be on your back. -
I've just saw this movie last wednesday and I thought it was great, I just can't believe it was rated 1 star. The effects were great when the dam broke and it was hilarious. SHEEP!!!!!!!!!!!

I think .dat files are better since I can just put it in to the scenarios folder and it runs automatically. You could put up both versions if you want to. -

I kinda had fun last night, I didn't do much. Just helped out at a face-painting stand there, had a $4.00 peanut sundae and a $3.75 messy chocolate milkshake. Tonight (if it doesn't rain) I hope to ride the Zipper! I still can't find that k'nex roller coaster that's supposed to be here. -
Round Up vs. Gravitron
Ccron10 replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Round-Up since I just rode one 2 days ago. You get tilted up to a certain angle were on a gravitron, it stays flat. -

Well, emptying my pockets shouldn't be that bad because paying for the tickets should take care of that. I think the ride requires 4 tickets which means it's $5.00 a ride! I'll try to keep my eyes open for the K'nex coaster that I've heard at too. -

Ok, here's a photo-less TR of my visit yesterday. I was kinda pressed with time since I got down there at around 9:00PM and the thing closes in an hour. I talked to a few people here and there, then I went down to the midway. I did some walking around and bought 2 tickets for the Cyclone round-up ride. Most rides required 2 to 4 tickets. The Cyclone was 3, but since it was a special ride ticket night, every ride required 1 less ticket. It costed $1.25 for each ticket, so for that one ride, it was $2.50. I got on and there was only 6 people on it (including me). This being my first round-up, I kind of liked it, but it could've been a little more forceful. After getting off, I decided to ride the Rainbow (a circular freefall ride). It costed $3.75 and produced a little bit of airtime, but it was worth it. Then I went and got a apple dumpling with ice cream and went home. I kind of thinking of rideing the Zipper, does anyone know how good this kind of ride is? -
This is the difference between HP and Walt Disney World, THEY KICK THE RULE-BREAKING PEEPS OUT! I went on RXCC on it's opening day and the ride broke down earlier in the day, but later it opened up and when my car came into the unloading station, the car was facing nearly perpendicular to the station platform. Also in December, the ride stopped at a block brake section and managed to shoot some extra points, 40,000. I guess the ride has a few hiccups here and there.

I just got back from walking through the fair and I can tell that everything is ready for it's opening tomorrow night. Last night they brought in new rides! These are some that have never came or ones that haven't come in a long time, so here's the list. A drop tower, some kind of Tempest ride, a rainbow sideways freefall ride, round-up, and ring of fire! I might be going down late tomorrow night for an apple dumpling and a round-up credit. Photos will be posted tomorrow!
