  1. I live about an hour to an hour and a half from William's Grove it seens like a nice park, but I've never gone there. It's a nice park don't get me wrong, but I perfer Hersheypark.
  2. Well, yes I do know that it's going to be very difficult to build which leads me into MrMorgan's post. The project is due in 2009 ,but since it's a complex project I'm starting now so if I run into a snag I could be able to fix it before it's due and I did car models in the past, but I don't think those would count. Also thanks for the link! I think it might be very useful. I will build the track and cars out of wood because my dad is a woodworker and he has A LOT of wood. Now to CP_RULES's post. Yes I have been thinking about working brakes, I was thinking of brakes of being shaped like a forewards and backwards L, but after a little thought I came up with normal shaped brakes with rubber padding so when the brake fin goes in between them it will come to a nice stop. Yes the cars will rotate and that's one reason why I picked this type of coaster to do. I might look into dynamix parts, I've heard about that. Next jarmor. That's not really what I'm really going to fully use. I plan on using CAD but I was thinking of AutoCAD, but nolimits might be better. I'll look into it. Oh I almost forgot! You (as in all TPR members and admins.)can create the name of the ride! It just has to be school safe (no foul language) and I'll pick the top 3rd or 5th best and allow you guys to vote for the best! I'll announce on this topic when you can vote and I'll set up a topic for that. Remember to post any questions, problems, or comments on this post. -Chris-
  3. Here are the pics and I'd like to hear your opinions! What the layout will look like. The site plan of the jojo roll and the start of the lift hill. The Multi Dimension Car (Front view). The Immelmann dive. Here's another view. The site plan of the stations and the twisted first drop.
  4. AXIS NEWS Prototype Construction has begun. ______________________________________________________ For a project I need to do to graduate I am going to build a working roller coaster model! But it's not a normal coaster model because it will be of a Multi Dimension coaster! Here's the rundown of the facts. -The Scale 1 inch = 10 feet -Scaled height 320 feet -Number of Inversions 10 -1 jojo roll -an Immelmann as a first drop -2 over-banked curves -1 loop -a zero-G roll with a flying snake dive -1 lie to fly -1 corkscrew -1 fly to lie - a countless number of 90 degree banked turns My objective is to get it done by the beginning of 2009 and post updates. Below will be my first update if I can post the pictures. -Chris-
  5. Thanks. I didn't know there was something already posted.
  6. I'm not really sure if anybody heard about this, but in 2008 a Hard Rock Cafe themed park is supposed to open in Myrtle Beach NC. Here's a link I found to the official website. http://www.hrpusa.com The park is going to feature 40 rides and attractions, a music amphitheater, shows, roller coasters, children's play areas, stores, and resturants! I don't know about you, but this looks sweet!
  7. Thanks! I plan to do a model of a Multi Dimension Coaster.
  8. Hey Robb or Elissa, For my school graduation project I am planning on building a working model of a roller coaster. For this project I must take pictures, video, and document how I created it and the forces, speed and time of the coaster. The deadline to complete it is by the beginning of 2009. I was just wondering if I'm allowed to post my building progress.
  9. Great TR. Just to let you know that little building you saw next to the Wildcat was either the computer building for the laser show or the operator's booth for the Chaos or Cyclops.
  10. Great movie! I love Multi-Dimension coasters, but I wish they build one over on the east coast at Hershey or Dorney so I can ride one!
  11. I didn't know the footers for the Hurcules were still there! By the way great pics!
  12. My opinion is that they're going to close or sell some of the smaller Six Flags Parks like New England and keep the larger ones like Magic Mountain and Great Adventure. For how much they were built up, the company will loose that big income they get if they close or sell the larger ones.
  13. Ok Robb you're right. After looking at the pics of Powder Keg on rcdb.com it does kind of remind me of Maverick with the launch and lift hill.
  14. Man that ride looks sweet!!!!!!! I knew it would be a coaster like Storm Runner. I want to ride that next year!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Just to note I did not ride some of these coasters, but here are the top 5 ridden and non-ridden coasters. -Ridden: 1.Hydra the Revenge 2.Steel Force 3.Talon 4.Phoenix 5.Lightning Racer -Non-Ridden: 1.Eejanaika 2.Kingda Ka 3.X 4.Storm Runner 5.Millenium Force
  16. It must be cool filming your own movies about amusement parks and roller coasters! I would too if I had a video camera that could download video to my computer! But hopefully after Christmas I will go buy one for the 2007 amusement park season!
  17. OMG this coaster is going to be so cool!!!!!!!! It might be another Storm Runner type coaster!!!
  18. Have you tried going into your Program Files folder in your C drive and then clicking on your Infogames Interactive? In that folder there should be another folder that is named Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. In there should be a saved games folder (also along with some others) and your saved screenshots. It's okay I 've had the same problem too.
  19. The last coaster I rode was the Talon back on Aug. 15.
  20. Dude that had to be the most randomist movie I've ever saw!! Great Movie!
  21. What I am afraid of is that Six Flags removes its ownership from some of its parks, then can't find an owner for those parks, and last they will close. Could this happen?
  22. Well my opinion is that it's going to be an accelerator coaster like Storm Runner or Rita Queen of Speed because of the way the track looks, but you guys could be right.
  23. I want to be an amusement ride designer too, but I keep getting told," what if you don't find a job in this field?"But I think there are plenty companies in this field to get one, but like you said there's always architecture.
  24. That was strange I thought the Twister was a little rough too when I went last Monday. I was also a little upset that you couldn't buy a on-ride photo!
