  1. I thought the wave pool was going to be a little bigger! That ain't a family attraction, it's a kiddie ride! Waverider, Coastline plunge, and ECWW looks cool though.
  2. You can also add video clips to the bilboards as well (I just found this out). Execpt they have to be no bigger than 2MB.
  3. Labor day is September 3rd, but that's the duedate which means I could get it done sooner than that. The reason why is because I have 3 parks going on at the same time, so what I want to do is get the HP re-creation done first and then come back to work on this park and then finish Emerald Lake. I'll work on each of them every once and awhile in the meantime.
  4. I doubt I'll get the park done by tomorrow, I'm still working on the second area and nothing's happend with the other two. This is what I'm going to do, I'm going to shoot for a finishing date of Labor Day and in the meantime, I'll work on my HP re-creation.
  5. I've heard about that. WHAT THE HECK IS IT WITH ALL THESE SMALL PARKS CLOSING!?!!? There's sort of a 50/50 chance of the park remaining open. I've been there even though I didn't get the Sidewinder credit, it's a nice park with indoor and outdoor rides. Ocean Pier Rides is not that far away and they have a half decent set of rides.
  6. UPDATE 18 ENTRANCE COMPLETION I tooks 10 minutes off of my other park to get the entrance done. A few wooden beams still need to be added though. Facing Rhineland. Facing Tudor Square.
  7. On Saturday, I came up with an idea, why not create a park and dedicate it to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Civil, Revolutionary, Spanish-American, World war's I and II and the current war in Iraq? That's what LibertyWorld is all about! Featuring 4 areas: The Revolution, The Confederate South, Wild Wild West and World Torn. A waterpark will be put into one of these areas. The first area completed was The Revolution. Located in a wooded forest, this area boasts the world's tallest splash chute at 200 ft! There's also a wooden GCI called Freedom Fighter. Revolution is a 4 across, looping coaster. The trains were bought from Six Flags Magic Mountain's Flashback and the ride was specially designed by B&M to fit the cars. There's also an bird-themed coaster called Eagle's Flight which soars over hundreds of pine trees. The second area under construction is The Confederate South which combines the openness of the cotton fields with the beauty of the Smoky Mountains. Inside these is a log flume which provides a great view of the park. More's to come and my goal is to get this park done by either Thursday, Friday or Saturday at the latest. Construction on Hersheypark and Emerald Lake will restart after it's completion. Oh! Did I mention that all of this was done in 2 days? The Confederate South area (so far). Smoky Mountain River Falls (no scenery) and the small river will be the Mississippi Queen River Cruises (Paddlesteamer). The park's layout. It features the steepest drop on a coaster and also an Immelmann. Revolution Revolution and Liberty Flyer spinning discus. Freedom Fighter with Revolution and Patriot's Plunge in the distance. The Revolution area.
  8. I don't know, I kind of don't like the idea, but if the town really needs the business, then they should go for it. I just think that the citizens would be tired of UFO's and aliens after a long period of time.
  9. Yes, that look like Loch Ness.
  10. You're correct. 1 last one. 1. In their brochure they say they have the most rides in a park. 2.They had a pair of coasters that loop like Loch Ness Monster. 3. Their Skyride was used in the NY World's Fair.
  11. Here, I'll do one. 1. It's in Dutch Country, but it's not in Europe. 2. Their coaster was renamed this year. 3. Has a mini area with world landmarks.
  12. This is fun! I've been sitting here watching the trains go past and guessing where they'll be next! Maverick in the horseshoe roll!
  13. Is the Twister still as rough as it was last year? It was a real "bump-fest" last year.
  14. Aren't they even close to finishing it? Because that ride is said to open this year! (but then again they said that last year). I really want to ride it.
  15. The day nearly 5 years in the making has finally come! The Boardwalk at Hersheypark is officially open! Here's all the details, rumors, and everything else that led up to the construction of this great new area! Going back to 2002, a local newspaper made an article about a waterpark being built for the following season. The possible location for it was the old airfield across from the park or even the old Hersheypark arena. The last possible location was where the Boardwalk is today. And so thus the rumors of Cocoa Bay have started. There was also a couple of other rumors of a possible B&M coaster, 4th Dimension, hyper, giga, mega and even an 8,000 ft coaster, but those were turned down after time. The rumors of Cocoa talked about having chocolate-colored water, but it was impossible because then people would drink the chlorine-filled water and get sick. As time went by, in 2005 the park went to Derry Township to get approval for water attractions for the park. Once the township gave the go ahead, the Chaos ride was removed, the Frog Hopper kiddie ride was moved over to Minetown and the Dinosaur-Go-Round was moved to Founder's Circle. During the winter of 2005-2006, pieces of colored steel and slide pieces have been showing up at the park. On a picture below, you can see supports for the Eastcoast Waterworks attraction taken in March 2006. When opening day came around for the 2006 season, the midway leading from Decades to Lightning Racer was removed and replaced with a newer one that went through a construction zone with a wooden fence surrounding it. Inside was a strange foundation that you can only find on a water play structure, also a changing room. Nearly 2 months later, Hersheypark released plans for the Boardwalk at Hersheypark. Thy said that the area will feature the world's largest water play structure, 4 new waterslides, a sandcastle themed kiddie area, a wave pool, and a boggie boarding ride.Along with the water rides, 9 new food buildings, 6 games, and 7 souvenir shops have been planned. Leading up to today, many photos, Trip Reports and details have been heard and it all led up to today. Since all the rumors for the 2007 season are all over, we now turn our attention to what could happen in the 2008 season. Could the Wild Mouse be moved or removed from the park to expand the area? Could Western Chute Out be taken out? Or could a new flat ride be built or how about a new coaster? Over the next couple of months, this is what we could be taking about. Stay tuned for possible links to newscasts of the opening throughout the day! The support of Eastcoast Waterworks in March 2006. The support of East Coast Waterworks in March 2006.
  16. UPDATE 16 (RE-CONSTRUCTION UPDATE 1) Work has started up again! I've taken this time to correct some mistakes I've made on the last one. Instead of starting at Tudor Bridge, I've started at Tram Circle. With this, it could allow me to even build the museum and the arena! Tudor Square is nearly completed, just Tudor Grill and the entrance need to be built. Depending on graphic space and map space, ZooAmerica could also be built, but ChocolateWorld is still unknown. More coming soon! I am very proud of the admission price sign that I created by using Paint. It looks like the real one! The smoking hut, restrooms, and foundation of the entrance. Tudor Square Merchantile and Dunkin' Donuts. Tudor Square. I've decided to use particle effects to this version. The famous entrance sign. Some trees still need to be added, but this is Tram Circle.
  17. ^Sorry, my bad. Phase 2 is only half completed and there's now some rumors surfacing about Phase 3 and even 4! The new coaster for 2007 is Sooper Looper! This Schwartzkopf re-make features tight hairpin turns, a thrilling loop, and a twisting layout. Along with the coaster is a freefall tower, tilt-a-whirl, candy shop, skyride and subway. From what I've heard, either a new themed area or a large, themed coaster could be built. There's also talk about developing the area near Omega and/or even removing it all together! Nothing that much so far for Phase 4. Ferry service might be brought back to the lake and the island might get developed. Hidden in a secret location, there's some talk about HERCO giving the park a few rides that they were going to build. This could be the next area to be renovated. The land for the new area or coaster has been flattened and cleared! Looks big. The new midway with the new tilt-a-whirl, freefall tower, skyride, and buildings. The skyride station. Some fences are still up in some places. The ride features two 90 degree turns. It will attract some well needed guests and attention. Sooper Looper so far, is a great addition to the park.
  18. ^ Hersheypark? Well, where should I start.... Before the 70's, the park looked very dirty and was filled with crime. 1970- A 5 or 6 phase plan was created to turn the park into "the Disneyland of the Northeast". A contemperary, Indian Village, New England fishing town, and a few other lands were planned to be built, but only Minetown, Carrousel Circle, and Pioneer Frontier were built. The park's name was changed from Hershey Park to what it is today. 1972-Carrousel Circle was built which included the Giant Wheel, Monster, Twin Tobbogans, and Scrambler which is still at it's original location. 1973- Tudor Square and Rhineland was built. Also the Coal Cracker. 1974- Trailblazer and the removed Sky Ride was built. In 1992, it was sold to Dreamland Park and is still there today. 1975 or 1976- The Kissing Tower and Twin Turnpike was built. 1977- Sooperdooperlooper was built.
  19. I guess they could've, but then the worse case scenario could be that the fire could melt the arm holding the wheel or even the cars and then the ride might collapse. These aren't really escape- proof rides because or the restraint system.
  20. Yes. That's why I'm setting a July deadline to have this part of it finished. The model will have to be done by December 2008.
  21. There still might be a chance for her to get that 90 jail term! We just need to hope that she doesnt go to jail when she needs to and she'll get it!
  22. Update A few support footers have been laid! It's not much, but I hope to get the entire ride design done by July if possible! The footers lead out from the station and stop at the base of the lift. There's another one right before the brake run.
  23. I kinda figured that the rumored 6 or 7g's might've came form this spot. Even if they took this spot off, there's still other inversions on the ride that are eye-catching.
  24. NEW FOR 2007! ULTRA THRUST and RHINETOWN This season is going to be a big undertaking for the park. New for this season is a pay-one price admission, new entrance gate, alpine themed village, 4 new rides and attractions. ULTRA THRUST is a inverted impuse coaster that launches riders up to a speed of 70 mph and it offers a cool station with running lights. Along with Ultra Thrust is a family coaster called ROLLERBAHN, a tobbogan ride through a small pine forest. This ride will be a big hit with the families. Some of the other rides are a beautiful miniature golf course called WINDSOR GOLF and a circus attraction called RHINELAND FAMILY CIRCUS. Even though there's a lack of food and drink stands in the park, something in the future is planned to solve this problem. THE RUMOR MILL There's been some talk of developing the QUAD SHOCK path in front of it into a midway and also made removing this ride all together and adding a schwartzkopf re-make or even adding a new water ride. Right now anything's possible. Stay Tuned! Ultra Thrust all by itself. Rollerbahn in the upper left corner and all of Rhinetown The restrooms had to be re-designed after a discovered design draw-back. The new admission gate had a soft opening Windsor Golf. Windsor Golf. Before it was built. That glockenspiel is the centerpiece of the new area. The guest services and season pass office. The land has been cleared and a underground pathway has been built for the construction of the new admission gate. When HERCO ran out of funds, they were only half way done with this impulse coaster.
  25. I wore glasses on half of the coasters I rode last year, but after riding Twister at Knoebels, I took them off since then because they would feel like they would be pressed right up against my eyeballs! If it's a coaster like Trailblazer or a Wild Mouse, I'd keep them on, but if it's a coaster like SR or any coaster that goes over 45mph, I'd take them off.
